  • Buying a New boat or a big motor yacht can be a challenge if you are purchasing one overseas and planning to import it. There are a lot of risks that need to be calculated. It is always good to hire a professional and here are some tips on how to safeguard yourself when you are buying a new boat.
    We had purchased this boat from Finland to Hong Kong, the Targa 46. This boat is one of the best quality built boats we have ever seen. It is strong and functional and designed by true boaters who understand the challenges you will face on the sea.

    Nice video. I live in Vaasa, about 14 km from the Targa factory. Remember seeing a Targa moored on the river in Travemünde when I was on vacation there a couple of yars ago. Also know that the London police use Targas, and they are also used for sightseeing in Greenland.

    That is a beautiful boat. If I ever get the money to afford one it’s on the list.

    That boat is absolutely gorgeous, great video! I've been looking in getting a smaller Targa (23.1 or 25.1) - Although Targa boats are very expensive, they hold their value like nothing else and are soooooo seaworthy. And I agree, it is not a beginners boat, it is for seasoned veterans who know what to look in a boat.

      how about Sargo? i heard they are equally good and little bit more modern looking from inside

    • @FinnishPanther
      @FinnishPanther 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@shenoyglobal Sargo and Nord Star build similar boats, but the interior build quality of Targa is just superior. I like all three, but would spend a bit extra for a Targa.

      @@FinnishPanther I am sure you have done enough comparision.. i was told nord star is definetly spot 3.. however i have seen mixed reviews between Targa and Sargo taking the top spot.. might be personal preferences.. however can you let me know what interior fit and finish you felt better in Targa compared to Sargo

      @@shenoyglobal The woodworking on Targas are AMAZING, and it is not even close when you compare it to any other boat, and when you open up the panels and take a look how the boats are built, you'll then see where the money went. I'm a little over 40 now and have spent most of my life around boats. My father was the captain of one of the largest ships in the Nordics and the only brand that always got the attention of professional seafarers was Targa. Whenever the topic of dream boats was discussed among the officers, the unanimous vote was to get a Targa. Don't get me wrong, Sargos and Nord Stars are really nice boats too, but Targas are built like small ships. I've looked at Targa class boats for about 10 years now and I'm going with the original. The only downside of Targas compared to the competition is that the shower facilities suck with the exception of the 46 (aft shower is nice). Hope this helps :-)

    • @shenoyglobal
      @shenoyglobal 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FinnishPanther nice!!!! yes shower is also the reason why i felt like leaning to Sargo. especially th 37 doesn't have a guest head. Sargo managed to put a day head at the aft... i think for a 37 there should atleast 2 full head. one for owner and one for guest/day.. i have seen few boats have water drain at the steps leading to owner cabin and guest cabin.. i did not see on Targa nor Sargo.. i think that is also a good one for targa to put on their boats as these boats are SUV of the seas!

    i dont know about the comment "this shouldnt be your 1st boat or something like that" .. this targa has IPS volvos... even my 77 year old grandmother can drive an IPS boat (which she has...)... IPS with proper electronics and gear dont require to much "technical" knowledge... you can even set the boat to "hover" in place w/o anchors in the right conditions with a push of a few buttons... so really not a very "technical" or hard boat to use... its joystick controlled for tight maneuvers, if anything else... your 1st boat SHOULD be IPS equipped...lol
