I learn so much from you. I used midjourney for tshirt designs. I love that I can use it for laser engraving! I need to binge watch all of your videos!! 😁
This video answers so many resource questions I had! I am always ready to take notes when I watch your videos. Thanks for being willing to share your knowledge/resources with us newbies! Really appreciate it!
I'm just starting out in this business and all these resources you listed are so helpful. Greatly appreciate your help and also appreciate you warming up to the laser diode crowd lol.
I love your recommendations. I was hoping to see more stuff for hobbyists. I have no retail certificate because I can't sell anything (disabled) . For me it's therapy and making gifts. Still watching your video, but hoping for some options I can use.
Thank you for talking about this issue with Adobe I been using affinity from the beginning and I use it all the time. Adobe is abusing power. Thanks for awareness!!
Thank you!! This was a huge help. I just started with xTool P2 cutting acrylic. I just received my order from Houston Acrylic. I have 1/8" cast acrylic and wondering what settings you use to cut, score and engrave? I know all P2 are different but I just want to get a range to start. Thanks for any help
Loved the first one and loving this one. I do have a question. I have never done anything with a laser. Can you point me in the direction for safety glasses for the x1 ultra.
This is awesome! I’m relatively new in the laser engraving world. I’m curious if you have resources for online or in person classes or maintenance so I can learn more about my machines
Enjoyed your video. You should really look into open source solutions for PS and AI, namely GIMP and Inkscape. New learning curve for the interface, but the power is there.
Love the video. A lot of great information 👍 These tools are very helpful. On the contrary I do find it rewarding making things from my own imagination and bringing them to life. I've ditched AI as it was killing my creativity and artistic expression.
What’s that little laser in the background on the shelf I want to know more about this little guy because my buddy has one and it seems pretty nice for what it is💁🏻♂️
I found the wood making patches very unique- the one you mentioned on amazon what thickness, there are several and how well does it adhere to hats or fabric, longevity wise/ I would love to try please guide me in the right direction newbie here so I dont want to break the bank yet on this project.
sure thing, this is the product I like to use all the time amzn.to/4cVfZb4 it about 1/32 thick, and with a hat press or heat press you can mount it to hats or fabric. If mounted correctly it will hold for years. Keep in mind it is wood after all so washing is not recommended.
@@markferrick10 I'm always creating new videos with sources in the description, but it would be inappropriate for me to have a conversation in the comments of Michael's video Mark. 👍
Well there's no competition or hesitation about who I am excited to see live but you of course I wouldn't have been invested in lasers if I didn't accidentally come across your channel 1st was the laser pecker 2 and just recently the wecreat and now you have me drooling over the new xtool portable laser since I live in Southern California with year round events I don't think the laser pecker 2 would be sufficient to justify the cost that it takes to set up from gas to parking and space rental plus being disabled in a wheelchair it's not easy to process as quickly as I want to but I don't think I'm going to be able to afford anything for awhile so I'm wondering if they are doing give aways at the event
Such a great video, thanks so much. BUT: I also have affinity (all 3 apps), but coming from Corel, I really struggle with it. *Especially* regarding tasks for laser jobs. For example I just can’t figure out how to trace images. At all. You say it doesn’t have „live trace“ - not sure what the difference to a normal „trace“ is, but I find ZERO Option for tracing in affinity. Or how to generate an outline - not around text (that option exists) but around a group of objects (say: I have an SVG consisting of multiple objects and I want an outline of 3mm around all of them.) So I’m a bit sad that you first walk through the complete AI/midjourney workflow, but explain it in Photoshop/illustrator and THEN recommend affinity but NOT explain the very thing there. Please do such a video, it would be SO super helpful! Thanks!
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I feel your pain! Affinity does NOT do live trace or anything like it, but if you use lightburn you can do it there in that software. Affinity is working on live trace, lets hope they add it soon!
@@LaserEngraving911 thanks for taking the time to answer me :) After not finding any such feature in affinity I searched for online tools or small dedicated software but found nothing that wouldn’t have a high price tag for just this one function. So I did indeed resort to lightburn for tracing. And I must say it works really great. But it’s extra complexity in my workflow since it requires me to go back and forth between programs. Let’s hope affinity adds this soon. Thanks again!!
Hi, im just a hobbyist, and just starting out.... I have a 5w comgrow z1, i have grbl, lightburn, and a windows 11 pc. I got the drivers and grbl program from the included sd card... I cant seem to get my pc to connect to the machine, yes i turned it on and plugged into my laptop's usb port. Any ideas thank you
It's interessting to me that you felt like you needed a shower, after adobes terms of service, but mention it, right after suggesting midjourney, which is also trained without artist consent? edit: Still the other info is of course very useful

Thanks, the XCS software has built in parameters for acrylic cutting and its in mm, so you can convert 1/8 to mm and use that setting.
We need something like this for laser users in the UK 👍🏻
Agreed!

Great, so for the Diode laser you (the purple beam) you will want these amzn.to/3VM96SX and for the Fiber Laser you will want these. amzn.to/3xG6cXN

A lot of knowledge here!! Thank you so much!!

Yay! Thank you!
What are your thoughts on buying a Laserpecker5? I mainly need it for engraving pens, but expanding for more. Thank you!
I would stay away from them, get yourself a F1 Ultra shrsl.com/4koqc not impressed with laser peckers line up.
Nice selections. I'm looking for a place to buy nice pens and pen boxes to engrave and sell as gifts, any suggestions on that? Thanks
That's a great idea! alot of companies that sell printed pens wholesales will sell you the pen set blank if you want, id look into those companies.

For your veneer patches, how well does it hold up to use for people who would use the hat for outdoor work?
it holds up just fine, obviously if you dunk it in water the wood will swell. But over all holds up great
