Lol I spent almost an hour trying to get it right yesterday. I did in the end but, Could have waited a day and made it way easier .
If you can't menu quickly, you likely won't be able to execute the glitch. Just a warning. I'm having trouble with the menuing portion.

I don't understand why they can't just send Oak's Letter to begin with so that we don't have to wait to get Shaymin. With that said, let's keep breaking the game so we can get the goodies!

Now I'm just waiting for a glitch that would make any non-evolving Pokemon be forced shiny, or force it onto an egg, then we could any legend or mythical to become shiny later.

Hey I found another potential huge glitch that you should try to play around with.
Using menu storage, go to give your Pokémon a held item in battle and pick a poke ball. You are instead given the option to “use this item” which allows you to throw a poke ball while ignoring typical poke ball rules. So you can throw a ball at shadow Giratina (the game gets a bit locked up after that but maybe there’s a way to get it to work)
If we can get the menu to work in trainer battles it would also mean we could catch trainer pokemon

I tried it on a trainer it does the same thing as normal when u use a ball they hit it away
Imagine the devs share the sentiment Game Freak had about not releasing Arceus internationally because it would still be "too complicated" and the same thing happens for Darkrai. (That'd be awful lol)

@@prisonmike7179 yeah, the game has its data stored so it’s seen as catched, and won’t show up afterwards due to it
I found out about the original glitch AFTER I cleared the route, so I was bummed that I missed out. This helps so much, thanks!
Yep, I did this and it worked! However, after I caught Shaymin, I decided not to save and just wait for the actual event. The reason is that if the actual Shaymin event does happen and when they update the game, not sure if it's going to mess my entire game up since I caught Shaymin through the glitch and worse, will ruin my save data and all the hard work I've done throughout the game. I mean maybe it might not happen, but then again, don't want to take that risk.

there technically is a point where you can get shaymin even earlier, but it's harder to pull off. I was able to get shaymin right before the 8th gym.
EDIT: there are now is an even earlier point. getting surf right away lets you get there.

I’m sure that the oaks letter will somehow activate this again somehow.
Probably not. The only thing Oaks letter does is give you access to the spot where Shaymin is. It wont make Shaymin respawn if you already caught it.
The fact that you can do this without the national Dex is crazy Edit:If you want to turn your shaymin into sky form,go to floaroma town talk to the lady with yellow hair and she'll give you a Gracidea,use that to turn shaymin into it's sky form

This was easy, but the hard part was getting the vs seeker to activate right before you get on bibarel, it took me so long to get to do the glitch, then i went to flower paradise then i realized i messed up, so i had to go back to before seabreak path, go to the right area, and go there, but im so happy with shaymin, i cant thank you enough!!!!!!!

Okay but this means we can activate the surf glitch near any body of water, right? Or at least any waterfall? Definitely going to be messing around with that.
I think there’s a way with the menu glitch to get any Pokémon you want. There’s so many crazy things with the menu glitch surely you can sacrifice a Pokémon to create a Pokémon from the Pokédex or something.

Unfortunately, Shaymin and the menu glitch are fixed with the new update. So if you haven't already done it, clone as much as you can and get Shaymin before you update.

@@jordangalle1751 yeah just saw it. Unfortunately I can't use it because I got soft locked and closed the game then it auto updated for some reason
@@onigiri2032 It sucks. I thought I had mine turned off. I have found that you can delete the software without deleting your save data, but at that rate you're bound to run into issues and may never get the opportunity to obtain Darkrai, Arceus, or Deoxys (or Shaymin officially) when their events launch due to not having the newest update.

I have a question, but am currently shiny hunting dialga and can't check. If you have a 5 pokemon party, menu storage and catch a new Pokemon, but replace the empty slot with a shiny, might that make the caught Mon shiny?

I used the surf glitch from canalave city to get to the resort area with 5 badges. Can't remember the right routing anymore, but it's definitely possible to do the heatran quest at 5 badges.

I just wished the game was actually hard and all these glitches would be better, wished they gave all rivals/gym leaders 6 mons, all with competitive movesets, max EVs, smarter a.i. . I got soo spoiled playing radical red and incliment emerald that its hard to even enjoy these games. The a.i. is just soo dumb in these games. I just did a hardcore nulocke and it was a cakewalk. No challenge at all until E4. Still not hard at that point.

I've seen a user shiny hunt by just running away after the encounter, running south to the water "seabreak path" and back up. it seems to reset the encounter and shaymin immdiately reappears without the need to close out of the software. i haven't tried it myself but if anyone does try this tell me!!!

so. Pkhex has 2 options. "Activate Shaymin Event" and "Activate Darkrai Evebt". I assume if you do the Shaymin one, you wont need to do this?
