      Thanks for the list of topics. We'll definitely get to these in the coming months. The good news is that the next video will be about abandon carts. *"The most difficult to understand and It is "List & Segment"* We hear this a lot, it's very tricky indeed. If we can find a clear and easy way to explain it, we'll post a video here too.

    @Email Experts one last question for you. At 2:30 you mention that Klaviyo will automatically feed the coupons into Shopify so we don't have to worry about that. But is there a way that you know of to automatically apply the coupon code to the shopping cart when the user presses the "Shop Now" or Call to Action button you've created in the email?

    • @emailexperts

    Hi thanks for this video, please how did you link the review pages

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Adejare, we just link to the product page. Platforms like Okendo and Yotpo allow you to add clever dynamic reviews, but we don't recommend it. The main reason is that we recommend you literally just type in the reviews you want to showcase to tell the story you want to tell, rather than relying on a random review. For example, in your welcome series you want to reassure your customers that you are a legit brand, than ships quality products - so show reviews that talk about the product quality and quick shipping times.

    Such a great and valuable tutorial - I would like to run a Facebook lead capture campaign but I am curious is it possible to set up the Klaviyo flow you described so that when someone subscribes through the Facebook lead capture form they will automatically get the discount code emailed to them through this sequence? In other words, I would like to integrate my Facebook campaign with Klaviyo without the customer having to visit my website and use the website opt-in

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mohammad, yeah that’s a great way to do it. 1. Set up the list. 2. Set up the dynamic coupon rules 3. Set up the flow triggered off the list (don’t trigger it off a segment since there’s a time delay, but list triggered flows are instant). 4. Connect the lead ad to the list.
      Also i see in your original comment you asked about whether Shopify knows about the codes. Klaviyo is actually generating the codes within Shopify using the API and then accessing them to add to the email. In the video we showed how to mass generate codes for campaigns, and the reason for the time delay for large batches of codes is exactly that, an API limit.

      All good Raphael! Don’t stress, this is how it’s supposed to be when you’re testing abandon carts, it means its working.
      When you send a test, it shows a real customer who recently started a checkout. Because the preview doesn’t check the filters, the customer may have even purchased. It does this so you can see the actual content of the cart. Check out our abandon cart video for more details.

    Hello, please do you have any recommendations for someone who is trying to learn the advanced email marketing tech skills. Skills like HTML, CSS, email deliverability etc. Your response will really go a long way.

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Raphael, honestly, I would say HTML and CSS are not necessary or even desirable skills for *Marketers* especially for advanced Email Marketers. By definition, *Marketing* is about understanding customers, and the more you get deep into the technical skills, the further you are from customer's experiences and you stop being a marketer.
      That said, being an email designer is a valuable skill set, it's just not marketing. Decide what you want to be - an email designer, or an email marketer - because they are different paths.
      If you want to be an Email Designer, then you will need to learn HTML and CSS, but I'm not sure where to start since that's not something we do or need at Email Experts (we use drag & drop editors, or contractors when we need an HTML/CSS skillset).
      If you want to be an Email Marketer, then follow this channel for basics, and for more advanced Email Marketing skills look at the Klaviyo Academy, and Salesforce Trailhead.

      @@emailexperts Hello, thank you really. You're always helpful and respond to comments. I understand everything you've said. I only started looking into the world of technical skills because most jobs I'm applying for are asking for HTML and CSS which I don't have.
      However, I will watch more of your videos since they are logical marketing strategies that can move needles.
      Thank you again, I'm happy I belong to your community.

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mateo, it sounds like you're asking why, when you preview the email, clicking the link takes you to a confirmation page instead of the cart?
      This issue is with all abandon cart flows, not just those with the dynamic code.
      Because of the way the Klaviyo Abandon cart flows are triggered, when someone starts a checkout, the links will take the customer to the transaction. The "Filter rules" on the flow is what makes sure it's an incomplete transaction.
      Rest assured that if you have your flow filters set up properly, the abandon cart emails won't be sent to customers with complete transactions, even if the preview do.

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, and generally speaking, we don't think there's a marginal benefit to adding a specific Abandon Cart flow, and instead we recommend adding the browse abandon flow. These two "middle funnel" flows (Abandon Browse and Checkout) cover it, and I haven't seen anyone develop a great strategy to justify an addition flow between these 2. Abandon Cart can still only show on 1 product, and any great message we could come up with for the Abandon Cart should just be duplicated into Browse Abandon - therefore making the Abandon Cart unnecessary. I'd love to see if someone has the data to back up splitting them into 2.

      Thanks for the request Attila. Unfortunately Woocommerce doesn't have a standard unique discount code generation method, and so Klaviyo doesn't support this at the moment. However, there is a work-around. Your comment has given me an idea on how to approach that - watch this space!

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jean-Luc, it could be at various stages of the process that issues are coming from. 1. The popup needs to be connected to a list. 2. The list needs to be triggering a flow. 3. The flow needs to be live. 4. You will need to use an email address that is not already subscribed.
      I hope this helps you find a solution.

    Is there a way to introduce a dynamic coupon in a flow and send the same coupon later in the flow?

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jose, if you use the same code, customers will receive the same code they initially received in subsequent emails, as long as it's still valid. For example, if you set a code to expire in 5 days, and you send an email 3 days later, the code will still be valid and so Klaviyo will send the same code to the same customer. Each customer still receives their own unique ones, of course. I hope this helps!

      @@emailexperts thank you so much! Klabiyo support actually led me in the wrong direction and had me create a new coupon code for each segment of the flow! Thank you so much! Any chance of this applies for sms as well? I just tested this out and it worked for a series of emails. What if I added a text in between the emails?

    • @emailexperts
      @emailexperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@josemarte7389 Hi Jose, it should work for SMS too. The way it works is that when the customer first receives an email (or SMS) with a code, the code is actually attached to their profile. When an email (or hopefully SMS) is sent with a code, Klaviyo will first check their profile to see if a valid code from that name already exists on their profile. If so, it will add the existing code, if not, it will create a new one.

      Hi Yemi, Jordane asked a similar question.
      It sound like you're trying to add the discount code to a Klaviyo form flyout, is this correct? This tutorial only covers adding the coupon code to email design, not a flyout. I don't believe you can add dynamic discount codes to the flyouts.
      In addition, even if you could, *I wouldn't recommend it*. From a strategy perspective, it's better to encourage your customers to open the email to receive the discount. This 1) ensures that they get a code only if they give you a real email address, and 2) builds a positive Pavlovian response, connecting Opening your email to receiving a valuable discount code, increasing their engagement in the future.
      Cheers,
      *Jared*

      And just replace "DISCOUNTCODE" with the discount code.

      {{ event.extra.checkout_url}}/&discount={% coupon_code 'DISCOUNT_NAME' %}
      And replace "DISCOUNT_NAME" with the dynamic discount.
