- Bishop Robert Barron gives the first of two keynote addresses at the Adoremus Eucharistic Congress and Pilgrimage in Liverpool. Saturday morning, 8 September 2018.
I cringed a little at the women's introduction.
But thank you again Bishop for your devotion to teaching. We are blessed to have you and so grateful that we can connect with you from around the world. May God continue to bless you and direct you, it is appreciated.
That was my first thought too… but what BB has to say is usually useful.
Politics should not enter into these types of conversations, lest some be offended. We should be focusing on our Lord and Catholicism and not presidents and politicians. The bishop has some very important things to say. Let's focus on these. Thank you, Bishop.
Follow Father Barron's example by just not commenting on the person's intro. I'm afraid the comments below scared many people away from watching this vital speech about the Mass. Just skip the intro. I learned so much from this speech and will have a deeper connection to God at Mass.
It's one more example of how disordered and effeminate the novus order is. We must return to the Mass of the Ages. The apostolic Mass. The Traditional Latin Mass.

I was raised Lutheran, attend a non-denominational church now and I feel that Bishop Barron’s sermons hit closer to home than most Protestant ministers; I feel that orthodoxy is coming back - may we be united once again!!!

The woman introducing the Bishop gives a message which is the antithesis of the true Christian message. She divides rather than unifies, and hates rather than loves. There is no place for this, particularly as an into to Bishop Barron and the Mass, where believers (one body, one faith) are called into selfless unity, loving God above all, and our neighbors as ourselves. Jesus said they will know us (true followers of Christ) by our love.

Fulton Sheen talked like this : Now, when Our Blessed Lord was on the cross......etc. Barron talks about himself and people like theologian Balthasar, who claims hell is empty of any human. Look for yourself, and see if this man with the very tight jaw EVER refers to OUR LORD as such, or in ANY endearing, personal, fashion. It's ALL theory for this man.

The sadness of modernity. A great line and so appropriate in these times.
Wonderful to take in this breakdown of what Mass is, its aspects and ramifications. I would love to have heard a bit about the Holy Spirit and its central role in our gathering at Mass, our prompting to listen and respond, to whorship and adore. Our disposition, fellow Christians, is then important for the Holy Spirit to act in us and through us. Therefore, come to Mass that great celebration with a humble self and contrite heart; be partakers of that wonderful Mystery. We tend to forget or we don't emphasize enough the crucial role of the Holy Spirit in the Mystery of the Mass. The Holy Spirit that God the Father and God the Son sent to us so that we are not left as orphans. What do you want? said Jesus, what are you looking for? Build your relationship with God the Trinity! As Christians, we know that God is attentive to us. Come to Him whether broken, as a sinner, or ill with trust in Him, reverence for Him, and most of all love for Him. God said it Himself at least 100 times in the Bible I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. That's Good News for all of us! Go to Mass therefore for during Mass you live and share that Good News, you are equipped with God's Peace and Word to bring forth that Good News to others outside the Church. May God the Trinity Bless us all with His Grace and lie upon us His Goodness, Love, and Mercy always 🙏.

How could Jesus found the catholic church if it came after his death?

The Transubstantiation occurs only in a Catholic Mass when the Priest blesses the bread and wine transforming into the Body and Blood Of Jesus Christ. This Sacrament was instituted by Jesus Christ Himself at The Last Supper with His apostles. After blessing the bread and wine, He told them,”Do this in memory of Me.” 1 Cor 11:23-29. He also said unless we eat of His Body and drink His Blood we will never enter Heaven. Jn 6:52, 54-59.

From reading some comments there is some real hate or disrespect coming from the Catholic people regarding lady whose introduced Bishop Barron. When a nerve is hit we can forget who we are in Christ.
Does to be in Christ means being stupid and having no judgment? No longer being able to distinguish between what makes sense and what doesn't? Her comments were inappropriate. Should we pretend not to hear them?
*This* Bishop Barron, is how humility generates irreligion: for if we're to always purposefully take the lowest place, we are right and good to forever boycott God, and all contact with Him at all, period, as He would be the highest place, we're to have nothing at all to do with Him, forever. Thus we know by sheer logic and process of elimination, that since pride would lead anybody at all, any *singular* individual to seek to hang out with God; humility really does lead to us forever throwing out the *idea* of a deity to begin with. Hence the word of God, as doctrine has laid out, really does lead man to categorical rejection of God for all time and eternity. So thus, papal teaching by Gregory the Great is contra-salvation, and so really humility is a cause of hatred of God; thus proving the bible to be a book of lies from God seeking thereby to destroy man's morals because through man humbling himself he is compelled to reject anything but the lowest common denominator.
Sounds like Pol Pot? *That*, Bishop Barron, is the inevitable fruit of the word of God, so we know that God as God is in fact a devil, as his word would lead any singular individual at all to throw out morality and become truly murderous towards anyone remotely greater than the lowest common denominator- which it has caused in me myself, so by the means of the scientific method, I know forever and have proven that all dogmas and doctrines really are heretical *as* divine revelation always is for even being occultic due to it being derived from revelation, and thus completely false. For if His word is true, it cannot possibly be either misunderstood or lead anyone at all to reject morals, since it inevitably does; He cannot be benevolent at all, no matter what "sacred writings" may say, as any passages of them that run contrary to that are heretical lies from God Himself due to His word running contrary to reality in any case at all.

PLEASE keep this about the Bishop - or, perhaps - the relationship with Jesus? It's not about politics! Very tacky introduction. I hope you can edit out the introduction in the future if they reference something other than the person being introduced or God.
