I have been a protestant all my life. I came to Jesus about 5 yr. Ago, was baptized by immersion in water. By God's grace, I have studied and read through the Bible 5 times (every year since my baptism 5 years ago. I live in a nursing home, and have permission to conduct a Bible study here every other Tues. I pray God help me teach only the truth. I am looking into the Catholic church teachings, and I went to a Catholic church last Sunday. I wanted to take the Holy Comunion, but my friend said I have to become Catholic first. I don't understand this, but I now believe that the Catholic. Church is correct about the reaching of the communion. I LOVE JESUS CHRIST my Lord and savior, and with his help, I only want to follow Jesus, (not man). I have been deeply hurt by false religions, which I had to leave because they were not truly Christian, and I lost ALL my friends, but feel closer to my Lord Jesus Christ. Please help me because I so desire to take Holy Comunion in the Catholic church as I now believe it is the true way. I need alot of prayer!!)
I would try talking to the bishop in your diocese. I am so thrilled your heart has been moved to belief in the Eucharist! But the hierarchy and authority structure of the Catholic Church is a good thing from Jesus also. In Luke 6:12-13, Jesus prayed all night then picked the 12 apostles and changed their names. They were given special authority, elevated over the other holy disciples. Talk to the Bishop there about where your heart is. I’ll pray for you, I promise.

Our trip to Siena was a critical point in my deeper conversion. The holiness of that town with St. Dominic and St Catherine just struck and put me on a path of intellectual discovery which eventually led me to a more spiritual conversion. Everyone needs to encounter the saints whenever they can. When you understand their level of devotion, you can’t help but start to seek it yourself.

We all could use more Antioxidants❣ I use Ascorbic Acid Powder everyday as an over all detox and for blood health as support as part of my pain management. My middle name is Catherine and I’m the namesake of my grt grandmother born in 1905 (Chicago) and she was a devout Catholic woman!! At risk of sounding haughty, or something of the sort, I feel like I’m very similar to St Catherine, but with my mystical experiences not being as dramatic. My life’s story was written by Him and it’s been a difficult life for me, but oh so sweet!!❤❤❤ Please pray for the conversion of my 33 yr old son, Jacob Matthew. And my 27 yr old daughter Skye Kelley. I have great hope we’ll all be in heaven for eternity with Jesus and btw they were both born at a hospital in San Diego on a street named Zion Ave!! Her name is Linda McFarland, and there isn’t a day that goes by in the nearly 20 years since I’ve last seen her, that I’m not filled with such heartache, grief and regret. I still love her so much but know that I have failed her. Pray for her that she is happy, and I humbly ask everyone who understands pain such as this to remember me and pray for me too. My grandmother Catherine was very religious. She would sing and pray holding me in the rocking chair. I remember her showing me how to make fried chicken and beef kidneys over mashed potatoes and homemade chocolate peanut butter fudge. We always needed to watch the News at 6 o'clock. The three of us. My grandparents and me discussing how this should be done if we could fix the criminals that hurt people or children.
Amazing story. I heard this past Sunday's homily about St Catherine, about how she was hungry for Jesus in the Eucharist, where half of the host disappeared after the concresation. Sadly, 70% of Catholics do not believe in the real presence of the Eucharist. Having had a profound conversion experience 16 years ago where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage, I have grown with increasing love for the Eucharist. I doubled down on my Mass attendance in person during the pandemic. During the first three months of lockdown, I did feel the same hunger for Jesus in the Eucharist. Look forward to hearing this talk with Bishop Barron. God bless!
Glad your community kept churches open. That still hurts my heart thinking of that time when so many needed the mass to stay strong and that for months we were denied mass and going to communion.

Not only Church's hierarchy permit the closure but also promoted the tainted vaccine. We can now see a spiritual battle between the traditional/conservative versus modernist/progressive Catholics that we never have seen before. The message of Akita has come to fruition, "Cardinals opposing other cardinals and bishops against other bishops." Pray for the conversion of hearts.

Thank you, Bishop Barron! This talk really means a lot to me, bringing me back to the year 2013, a friend invited me to have watched the vivid performance drama of Saint Catherine. It was talking about her extraordinary love and faith to our Lord Jesus Christ when she was restricted at home for 3 years by her parents… I was deeply heart-touched with tearing all over on my face while watching it, since by then, I was exactly getting through the most challenging three years of my Catholic faith journey after my Baptism in 2011. That drama of Saint’s vivid life story brought me a lot of strength to trust in Jesus and deepened my faith to our God a lot! What a life of our faith to Jesus!

When my daughter Amanda was a sophomore in highschool, the religious teacher told her class to research a saint and write about him or her, especially if the saint was relatable. She chose to research Catherine of Siena. I admit, I was equally interested, so we studied her together. I believe Catherine of Siena still has merit for our family.

I have hurt a precious woman of my life through infidelity many years ago. Her name is Linda McFarland, and there isn’t a day that goes by in the nearly 20 years since I’ve last seen her, that I’m not filled with such heartache, grief and regret. I still love her so much but know that I have failed her. Pray for her that she is happy, and I humbly ask everyone who understands pain such as this to remember me and pray for me too. May the Lord be with you always in love.

My grandmother Catherine was very religious. She would sing and pray holding me in the rocking chair. I remember her showing me how to make fried chicken and beef kidneys over mashed potatoes and homemade chocolate peanut butter fudge. We always needed to watch the News at 6 o'clock. The three of us. My grandparents and me discussing how this should be done if we could fix the criminals that hurt people or children.

Amazing story. I heard this past Sunday's homily about St Catherine, about how she was hungry for Jesus in the Eucharist, where half of the host disappeared after the concresation. Sadly, 70% of Catholics do not believe in the real presence of the Eucharist. Having had a profound conversion experience 16 years ago where God intervened through our Blessed Mother to save my marriage, I have grown with increasing love for the Eucharist. I doubled down on my Mass attendance in person during the pandemic. During the first three months of lockdown, I did feel the same hunger for Jesus in the Eucharist.

Glad your community kept churches open. That still hurts my heart thinking of that time when so many needed the mass to stay strong and that for months we were denied mass and going to communion.
@@colleenwebster8762 Sad to know many departed souls were not able to receive any of the sacraments during that time. Not only Church's hierarchy permit the closure but also promoted the tainted vaccine. We can now see a spiritual battle between the traditional/conservative versus modernist/progressive Catholics that we never have seen before. The message of Akita has come to fruition, "Cardinals opposing other cardinals and bishops against other bishops." Pray for the conversion of hearts.
This presentation is such an illuminating gift and grace. St. Catherine is yet another witness to the saving power of God, through His Son Jesus Christ. The journey isn't easy... but nothing worth it is ever easy.

Thank you, Bishop Barron! This talk really means a lot to me, bringing me back to the year 2013, a friend invited me to have watched the vivid performance drama of Saint Catherine.
It was talking about her extraordinary love and faith to our Lord Jesus Christ when she was restricted at home for 3 years by her parents… I was deeply heart-touched with tearing all over on my face while watching it, since by then, I was exactly getting through the most challenging three years of my Catholic faith journey after my Baptism in 2011. That drama of Saint’s vivid life story brought me a lot of strength to trust in Jesus and deepened my faith to our God a lot! What a life of our faith to Jesus!

I had heard about the Pivotal Players series that was made but never got to see any of it until now. Beautifully portrayed. It brought me back to when I got to visit her tomb! When my daughter Amanda was a sophomore in highschool, the religious teacher told her class to research a saint and write about him or her, especially if the saint was relatable. She chose to research Catherine of Siena. I admit, I was equally interested, so we studied her together. I believe Catherine of Siena still has merit for our family.
