- The 2024 Jaguar F-Type R75 is the last F Type, It is being discontinued after this model year and thankfully not being replaced by an EV.. Today's review is of the last real British muscle car.

Breaks my heart to see all of these badass cars being discontinued for evs. The world is just getting crappier in every way. Creativity and originality is dead from cars to music to movies and on. Or maybe I’m just a grumpy old man (most likely both)
You are so right, Everything is crap in the world, Especially when politicians and activists are trying to save the world, Then they are going to go on holiday via airplane and buy things made on the other side of the world, Shut down nuclear power and then the electricity has to be produced with coal power plants instead, so that the electric vehicles can be charged.

The day my dad saw an f-type at a new car show in San Francisco he knew he would own one. He purchased one 18 months before he passed last summer and loved every minute of it. This car will always hold a special place in my heart. R.I.P dad.

Awesome car! I bought a brand new F-Type this past August for my birthday. Absolutely love it. It came down to the F-Type and the Lexus LC500. I don't regret my decision.

I drove the first generation Jaguar F-Type years ago and DAMN it's quick! I was instantly in love! My bank account wouldn't allow me to indulge! Forcing EV's on consumers will destroy the car industry!
I own a 2016 F-Type R and I love it. Best car I ever owned, and it is a Total Blast. the sound it makes is glorious! every time I drive it, I get a HUGE smile (even THINKING about driving it, gives me the smile). I prefer the Pre-facelift model, so my 2016 is just the right car for me. It is sad that Jaguar has gone all EV but maybe they will come back around sometime as other manufacturers have been doing. here is hoping at least. Great video! thanks for making it!
I bought a 2016 3.0 S 6mt last May, great car, great sound. Last week I took delivery of a 2006 XJ8 VDP. Never thought that at 77 I'd have a mini-collection of Jaguars. Had my first one in the early '70s, a '68 XK-E coupe, had a second one in the early '90s, an '84 XJ-S. So sad to see Jaguar leaving the car business.
Fellow '16 F-Type R owner here. Not a huge fan of the antiquated infotainment, but that's not why we bought it, right? Agreed on the older styling being better. They also toned down the exhaust in newer models -- no thanks! Doubtful Jaguar will pull their head out of their butts. EV is the new money-making strategy (doesn't solve a single problem, in fact creates more, but they don't care).

I couldn't agree more about how sad it is to be losing this V8. When you said that people brag that EV's are faster but "who cares?" I TOTALLY related to you. That is EXACTLY how I feel. It matters not one bit how fast EV's are. I have absolutely zero interest in them as anything but appliances. My 2 cars have V8 and V10 engines and haul ass, while making plenty of noise at the same time. And it's the noise rather than the speed that puts the smile on my face.

The AJ133 is such a great sounding motor. I have it in my Range Rover Sport and while the Range Rover doesn't sound like the Jaguar it still has an amazing sound under acceleration.
Just sold my Range Rover with the 5.0 supercharged and I miss it. Didn’t have any issues after 80k miles either - shockingly!
That exhaust note is intoxicating!
Great review. I'm torn between the new one and the older front end design. I love them both. The only thing I do know is I am definitely going to get one. No other car in this GT class comes close in the Smiles Per Hour category. A true British Classic.

In the EU and Britain, they won't be able to. All car manufacturers have to pay penalties for every gas car sold over a total percentage of the limits set out by governments. And they are massive fines if they fail. I love my gas jags
Im from the uk and the jags are amazing cars and would love to get one when kids have left home as to getting a EV not a chance
It is indeed the perfect colour for this car, any Jaguar really. I cant speak to the F-Typer personally but I did just pick up a later model XJ and its glorious. Great review as always!
Back in February I bought a 2006 XJ8 to go with my 2016 3.0 S F-Type. Classic styling, fast enough, mine is on coil-overs. A year ago I had no Jags, now I have two. I would never be tempted by an electric Jaguar, or an electric anything actually.
The pre-facelift version has some insane crackles and bangs on downshift. I guess they tuned that out for the facelifted version
1. The exhaust note sounds phenomenal!
2. The British Racing Green paint is beautiful! A nice rich tan interior would be a perfect choice to go along with the paint.
3. The pop-up HVAC vent is kewl... until it doesn't work. That's just something else waiting to malfunction.
4. The rear pop-up spoiler looks stupid. It looks like a mini trunk lid that someone forgot to close after leaving the grocery store. 😄

bought my girl a 2022 earlier this month. bday, vday, anniversary gift. this car is AMAZING. we are trying EVs too. i bought an I-Pace last year. she basically took it over. so i bought an F-Pace. she started driving that more than the I-Pace. got my son an EV-6. he loves it. my mom an Ocean. she still drives her ICE car more. im still an ICE guy for now.

Bought y F-type R from Jaguar South HIlls, as a long distant buyer. Great experience from them. Picked up at the airport and drove the bad kitty home. To get the pops you need to get on it to about 4000 RPM and then back off the gas, The downshift is much more of a I'm ready to go again captain sound. I think there is some popping, but you are shifting way to early in that car. The best shifts are around 7000 RPM, not 5500, I think you were really babying the car and shifting too early. If the RPM Gauge isn't flashing red you got more room to go:)

When you buy a Jag, you should buy two of them. That way you will have one to drive when the other is in the shop being fixed.

My 2015 F-Type R is at 70k, and it's been more reliable than any BMW, Audi or Subaru we've owned. Had to have the coolant pipes replaced at 60k, and had a diff leak fixed under warranty. It's been great otherwise.

Theres nothing like the Jaguar AJ133 Supercharged V8. Its crazy that the same engine thats in this 2024 F-Type is in my 2011 Jaguar XF!

I feel like they should have make a special edition for the final edition like a paint job or special option specific to that special edition/final edition! Or maybe an engine more powerful than the normal version

One of the biggest things I don’t like about the ev transition isn’t the exhaust and engine noise, it’s the loss of some great badges. The F-Type is a great badge that can’t just be relabeled as an ev. Same for the Charger, Challenger, and several others.

i have the 2017 S version 6 cyl.. it roars like a big cat - a jaguar, while the 8 cylinder sounds like a lion
On this particular model, simply removing fuse 15 fixes the low rev quietness ;) Valves are then open all the time :)
Love it, and even better is the earlier models 14/15/16 which has a better exhaust sounds with all the downshift pops that the new model misses. Love you to review a 2015/16 550hp AWD.

Love my 2015 F-Type. V8. A little blip of the gas holding a gear makes happy sounds.. IMO the older headlights / hood design looks better, newer infotainment on the later models look better. Mine is a white convertible with the black out package, no chrome or painted skirts. Tuxedo

They neuter the exhaust in that 2nd gen. The 1 Gen. one's screamed to high heaven.
Why is it our generation where the world goes soft as hell in removing the V8 engines for EV. So depressing, this is a pure thoroughbred sports car. Actually reminds of an AMG GT or Aston Vantage. Dunno if this new model gets the SVR setup like it's older siblings but the R still packs noise. I do though prefer the bolted (always there) rear wing of the SVR rather than that little flip up/down here. Beautiful day for it, and our main man Mike delivering truth! Great vid man.
A muscle car is a family car with a big strong engine. This is not a muscle car, it's a sports car or a grand tourer.

Nice car - love the sound. Seems the Jag goes from Purring to Growling when you open the valves. I must say, that the interior is not the most impressive I have seen. The center console seems a bit outdated, and also the seat adjustment buttons looks cheap. They look better in my Mercedes from 2018. But still an awesome car. Great review Mike.
That is a beautiful car I could never afford one but that is beautiful. I’m sad about the combustion engines going away and by the time they are gone if you have a combustion engine, you probably can’t afford the gas to put in it so eventually we all have to go electric unless you’re a millionaire and you can afford 10 $12 a gallon for your vehicle.

As a half blind guy I don't think my opinion really matters all that much but EVs are kind of dangerous for people like me because they are way too damn quiet and since I have a hard time seeing vehicles already, making them damn near silent is going to eventually hurt someone who either can't see it or hear it coming. The world isn't really ready for EVs at this point, especially here in the US, not only are they very expensive (like everything else is) but our power grid isn't capable of handling the high energy demand that the charging stations put on them. I love vehicles of all types no matter what they are but I personally think that automakers should be more focused on Hybrids for the time being and work on the technology for EVs to make them more cost effective for those who don't have fat bank accounts. Plus the primal roar of a V8 just gets your heart pumping with excitement or at least it does for me. Sorry for the long ass comment
I got a 2023 F-Type in June '22 and ordered a 2023 F-Pace SVR in October 2023. Delivered in May. Love both of them - end of an era. And middle finger to the fascist governments mandating EV so they can control us more.
NO EV SAVES YOU MONEY DUMMY...THEY COST LESS AND YOU DONT GET ROBBED SINCE YOU CHARGE AT HOME AND AVOID GAS pump duh

Sold my F-Type S last year. Because It won't have support worth mentioning after this year. It was already hard to get parts and everything was slow and, of course, EXPENSIVE AS HELL. As tempting as this car is, I would rather get a 3-4yo DB11 V12 for a true GT and same issues with that. So, what now ? IDK - Ferrari California T maybe. I refuse to buy a 911. So not too sure. But I will miss the exhaust note of my Jaguar for as long as I live. Sport Exhaust adds about 20HP as well as a better noise.
That spoiler would look so much better without the logo on it when it's popped up.....looks like the trunk is open or something....
Absolutely love the F-Type. But I think all but the truly wealthy are put off by the depreciation approaching 50% in 5 years. I get it, luxury vehicles depreciate significantly, but that's a big hit for an average buyer.

If you are holding it for the long term it doesn’t matter. They depreciate, just at different rates. Go buy a house if you want an appreciating asset. Life is way too short not to buy a car like this. You can’t take it with you.
Besides, there is a very good chance the values of these cars will rise once they are no longer available. Good chance. I really believe that will happen. It’s human nature. People want what they can’t have anymore…
