Not a single mention of rear LSD oil not being changed regularly or the Y coolant pipe.

As owner of 2014 V8 F-Type R RWD I mus confirm final conclusion with all my heart. Wildest model in the range, even more fun than SVR gives an it is lighter and has shorter gearing so... if there is good dry road also straightline performance becomes best usually in this version...

If you want to daily an F-type and you're an enthusiast, aim for 2018 model year V6 with manual transmission. I got one and it's awesome.

The exhaust valves fail in the open position (not a bad thing) as the fuse no43 under the passenger seat blows. The exhaust doesn't need replacing at all.

Another thing worth mentioning which would be applicable to the cars with active exhausts - the actuators which open and close the exhaust flaps can also fail which is quite costly. I had to change mine for £1.5k! Another thing is that the seals around the boot can also fail causing water ingress, that wasn’t too difficult to solve with some silicone but worth mentioning. Overall this car really does feel special and brings a smile every time you drive it.

My 2015 F type with 120,000 km averages 30.2 mpg (rather spirited driving always in dynamic mode).

Random electronic warning messages are NOT a problem with the software, DO NOT update it. Charge your battery with a trickle charger. If you update the software you will lose some exhaust sound

Very true. These cars are very sensitive to battery performance and want a near full charge. The good thing is, if the battery output begins to drop even a little, the car tells you that the battery is low and to start the engine to recharge. This usually only happens with mine if I let it sit for several days without driving it. If I drive it regularly, it's fine. I have a CTEK charger in the event I know I won't be driving it for a while and want to keep it charged.

Jokes aside. I don´t understand the P450. Is the supercharger even required to hit the 450 PS mark? It´s like a castrated engine for marketing purposes just to replace the V6 as a middle range engine🤔
