    Dude, you have saved me so much headache and money with these videos. Kudos man!

    Great video I’ve been in the scooter game for 13 years starting from 150cc to 241cc. I have spent thousands of dollars to get to where I’m at today. I finally settled for the 232cc and that’s it for me. I’ve learned so much about these scooter and everything I know I got from videos like this and asking a lot of questions. The secret to having a fast or reliable bike is testing and tuning. Right now I run the reveno kit I’m very happy with that set up.

      I REALLY want to get a Reveno clutch. I was looking around and thinking on buying from rolling wrench. Seems the best price. I am scared of the 232 cause of boring the case. Is that a big deal or not?

    • @dougparsley910
      @dougparsley910 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GhettoWrench Trust me if you can build a 150 you definitely can build a 232 nothing to it. As for boring the case you just buy a b block case from Rovira motorcycle it comes with gaskets and oil cooler ports. The case cost around 300 to 350

      And the reveno clutch and variator is absolutely amazing before that kit I had the polini clutch and the ncy variator it worked fine but the reveno does it for me. If you need help with the 232 build I can give you a complete list and vendors you can order from

    Another great explanation of how the belt, pulley and clutch work! One suggestion. When you take a video of a screen the focus is way off. Try moving the camera farther away and zooming in.

    Very nice video i was really digging deep on cvt stuff and i was getting there close to your same conclusión, im planing to get a 842 belt gates powerlink from ebay , and theres some cheapo 115mm variator on ebay , are they worth a try ? , my engine has some mods so i think it can handle the new belt and variator but dont know if those cheapo 115mm are worth a try

    • @GhettoWrench
      @GhettoWrench  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A Maddog is actually an XL case and takes a 788. If it is not a maddog it takes the 669. Use a Gates Powerlink. That is the BEST. They last forever. The Naraku is the worst I have used. They last 100 miles

    • @GhettoWrench
      @GhettoWrench  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ok I just reread you DO have a maddog. So the correct size is 788-18-28... and now says 788-18-30. Anyway only Naraku makes that size. Don't get it. Get the Gates( 788-18.1) and it is the best.

    • @GhettoWrench
      @GhettoWrench  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No idea. Can you get ebay or Amazon stuff there? Biggest we can get are those 150cc ones on ebay. Then we do the 172cc top end kit. Any bigger and the piston skirt does not fit and the case has to be bored bigger.

    What would you recommend on an Ice Bear 150cc trike. Would like to keep good bottom end plus be able to cruise 55 to 60. Getting about 49 now

    • @GhettoWrench
      @GhettoWrench  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would do all the stuff I did on my black gen v in the videos EXCEPT the 171 BBK or rear gear set. The bottom end felt like it was going to do a wheelie before I did the rear gear set. It was doing 66 and felt super strong with just T100 cam and 28mm PWK and 115mm variator/842 belt.

      @@GhettoWrenchI have a 150cc stock with 28mm pwk,installing 115mm variator with 13gram rollers and 842 belt today.The T100 cam will help get the bike to 55-60mph stock engine?🤔

    • @GhettoWrench
      @GhettoWrench  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Daniel... The Trike is heavier and more rear end drag than the 2 wheeler. I would NOT gear it up with a longer belt or bigger variator. I think you won't have the power to use the taller gearing. I would try to get more power. My 3 fav power mods are midrange A12 cam, 28mm PWK carb and then electric fuel pump so it can keep up. The electric fuel pump alone will get you over 50.

    no bro.
    some are worth, others arent.
    i did not use the ncy kit but did install 4 or 5 in the last year. this kit actually do a good bit of a difference. ofcourse its NCY. they dont sell useless shit.
    i did install the Naraku kit twice. i did not use it personally but i did ride a customer scooter for 3 days straight after i installed it ( because im a fan of the Naraku quality, on par with malossi and others ). beautifull and working kit. it was on a 72cc ( 47mm ) bbk. from a naraku sport variator and stock everything else to the full kit, 8 km/h gains after a proper tune. before it was just with aproximate tune, and only 3 km/h gain. but keep in mind that any cvt tune do increase both acceleration and top speed. ive seen big increase in acceleration but i dont have number so i didnt talk about.
    i did install 3 different kit mostly from aliexpress but also amazon, waste of money. they're just "looking" like sport/racing kit. they're standard. Glixal variator seems ok'ish in term of performance ( quality is decent ).
    you can build a decent kit, too. not cheaper but you can buy parts weekly or whatever is your pay according to your budget. the best i found with time and installs is : Naraku racing variator, NCY read pully ( for honda dio ), Motoforce racing clutch ( be aware, even with very soft spring, that thing engage as high rpm ! ), any non chinese clutch springs, malossi contra spring, Naraku/Gates or dayco ( forget junk belt like malossi stage6 and so on. they provide extrem grip, but doesnt last any longer than cheap noname 5$ belt. RACING application ONLY ), and a Naraku variator face. you have the best cvt possible ( including QUALITY, durability and performance ) on a 139qmb. for bigegr gy6 there are other options, but i specialize in 139qmb so i dont know 125 and 150 much.

      yup they do. but both polini and malossi vomit hearing "4 stroke" so they're not as good as they are on 2 stroke. so those brand i talked about. good quality, not so good fitment.

    Rolling wrench is a ripp off.doesnt respond.he just shows off his garbage.i played with variators and u will never do 75mph.U ripp ur belts.Use dr pulley light sliders.stock clutch aftermarket bell.stock contra spring or 1000 rpm spring. stock variator stock or 1000 rpm clutch springs and the collar for contraspring that has bearings.modify ur cam a jett ur carb.i did 70mph 210 lb rider on a VINO 125.now i a 5 mm over piston and i need to install a 24mm slide carb.it shoud do 75 easy.And quick out the line.Heavy contra springs ALONE RIPP BELTS.i set my scooters for freeway use
