Awesome, glad I'm not the only one who uses their classic truck for it's intended purpose. My '71 is a year 'round daily driver. I wire wheeled the entire underside, & POR-15'ed the whole thing. It'll outlive me I'm sure. Thanks for this video - I've got a MOUNTAIN of reclaimed 5" X 3/4" hardwood flooring. I'm going to do this exact thing. Your vid answered a LOT of questions. :)
We put new bed wood in our oldest sons 55 Chevy truck, stained new stripes, s/s bolts, made a world of difference in the looks of the truck after painting !
Those seats look awesome from what I can see. Nice video
Thanks David! I appreciate the support

One of the best upgrades I’ve ever done to a truck, great value for the dollars spent
Nice work !!
Thanks Jim!
Cool truck to see what you are “doing” vs what you “did”. Just a kind suggestion to help us rookies
Thank you it will help me on my two 1963 C10's that need bed wood repair. Keep up the good videos.
I like the home-made spare tire mount; convert it to work anywhere in the bed
I saved that piece for another truck
I did the bed on my truck with mayonnaise, sour cream and just a smidgen of lemon juice 😋
Awesome! Wood bed kits aren't for every truck...and too much $$$. Thanks for this video, it's exactly what my truck bed needs.
Glad to help
Nice video! Good idea on the router bit.
Thanks!
Thanks for this video!
My pleasure!
A couple of replacement panels😂 sounds like fun probably already got it done nice just 700 I think that was good
You paid 700 that sounds like a really good deal for your truck I'm wanting to get back into something like my 66 short bed Fleetside straight 6 C10
What size bolts? For the metal strips
I noticed you didn't sink your washers, other than that looks good ,
Good eye, I did go back with a hole saw and chisel later, just drilled down 1/8” and chiseled that out. Sat too high for my liking
Work on 77 stepside?
50/50 mix of acetone and what? Sorry, couldn't understand what you said. A type of paint?
Tremclad…. In the USA I think it’s rustoleum. Cutting it allows the paint to absorb somewhat and drys faster too
