smashing stance heavy attack misses half the time. i really dont get why this boss has so much HP. sure its a chapter ending boss, but the fast hes so tanky, dodges back after a lot of moves and has TWO burring attacks make this fight one of the longest in the game.

Ok so i didnt use your build but i did use the tips with cloud strike and i got him. However the patch probably helped me too so 🤷🏻 You Definitely got a new subscriber outta me
I finally beat this boss after like 3 days. I got weavers needle which did help substantially. I just stayed on his right flank or left flank depending on which side I could hit (mostly on his right side). That's where the meat of his hit box was. Every now then a couple hits on the front legs. I maxed out Immobilize spell and had Moon Roam transformation maxed with 4 dots activated.
Man I thought this boss was going to have a second phase (2nd full health bar) been sitting here trying to beat him with out using any spells and getting him down to below half lol. I’m an idiot
I’m fighting him right now without the weavers needle. I came get the first phase easily but that damn second phase.. my god, I came so close to beating him with literally two hits left and got caught with a damn attack and kept trying but I couldn’t beat it. I’m surprised I missed the weavers needle though?? I unlocked the area with all the venders and beat the dude with the big sword and seen that you can get some new armor but I couldn’t craft because I was missing a boss item (I’m assuming) then I see that I’m missing the weavers needle?? Wtf I swore I thought I explored everything. Time to go back lol Had the same issue with the ice dragon early on and found the optional beetle boss and that special it gave helped me so much. Was wondering if I was missing something for this one too! Thanks!

Doesnt help that he constantly runs and u attack like youre playing dynasty warriors 2 for ps1. And i learned that this boss is an input reader. But u didnt even give hints on the last phase bro like wtf?
I didnt use the needle but somehow heavy attack right before he starts to transform into the 2nd phase did the job, which breaks his stand. Idk, that was probably my 20th or 30th playthrough for this homeboy 😫
He swings the tail about 4-6 times for me and I can't get past him even when his health is so low. Lol. Even my immobilize seems to be ineffective on this guy at times. I am not sure if anyone else is having this problem. Finally beat him. Lol
Yeah his hit box is janky just like a lot of bosses in the game but other than that he wasn’t to hard. Golden set plus staff spin plus apramana bat shreds this guy into oblivion. I was getting really unlucky with his hit box I even missed a freeze with apramana bat.
Up to this point I've been using Resolute Counter and Skyfall to absorb all the damage and stagger the boss. It does nice damage and I don't have to spend an eternity dodging consecutive attacks, but it don't freaking work with this guy. Even when see-through activate it just misses or he hits me through it. The hit box is wack, and the movement is so janky, especially when he is freaking big, makes everything worse. I can't tell what is going on. Going to look for that needle, and comeback.

Hold on I get get past all those moves but then he turns golden like a god or something the arena turns all crazy then he swallows his sword and goes super Saiyan n I can't get past that part
I BEAT THE BOSS ALMOST IN THE FIRST TRY WITH WEAVERS NEEDLE BUT HE GOT ME WITH A LIGHTNING ATTACK THEN I TOOK THE SERPENTSCALE COSTUME AND WHEN I DIDNT HAVE ANY HP AND HEALING GOURDS LEFT I JUST KEPT ROLLING TILL MY RED TIDES CHARGED UP AND SMOKED HIM 2 TIMES WITH IT AND HE WAS DEAD.
The only thing that makes this game even remotely hard are the made in china hitboxes, same with the scorpion lords collision box. One thing I noticed is the spear weapon makes this problem even worse because of the piercing strikes it does (especially on this guy) so I changed back to staff and beat him 1st time (the staff strikes sweep more catching his legs)
The hard part of this boss is destined one staff attacks doesn't touch the parts between the front legs. That was annoying.

After like 15 tries thanks to ur video I finally remembered some of his combos and took him down. Had to buy a new staff and reignite my sparks😅

Pillar stance helped me beat this boss. Smashed stance charged attack missed a lot of times.
its crazy how getting weavers needle turns into a whole ass side quest with 2 other bosses to fight but it was a fun experience

Beat him first time trying with the needle and yellow loongs staff. Those items are key.

Purple mountain, you have to get the 4 papers in webbed hollow and go kill dusk veil

By defeating yellow Loong and the 3 Loongs before him. Also you have to craft the staff before that one too

His hit box is straight trash and the lock on needs be changed to his back legs
