I removed my points from all stances, spells, transformations, everything. Then dumped them all in Survival, Smash Stance, and Spellbinder. Then went to work on those chicken legs.
It's strange how with Soulslike bosses some people struggle with some others found easy and vice versa. I personally thought Yellow Loong had a more challenging Moveset, both very tough bosses though don't get me wrong
@@WilstormGaming Its a personal thing it seems 😅,not including luck etc. Also keep up the guides, despite the lack of popularity ! Yours i find the most useful 😇
There's some really good advice in this video. Thank you. I'd like to add a few things that helped me: 1. Stay around his feet. I felt like his close range attacks are easier to avoid. 2. I was failing at this boss using the Chu Bai spear. Its Light Attack combo does not reach this boss's strange hit box. Switching to the Spider Celestial Staff was much more effective and I beat it in one try. The spear staff hasn't been an issue for me until late in ch4. The thrust stance moves seem to be easier to use with it, but the light attack combo is awkward.
The absolute best guide. Thanks a lot. I was on the Dusk Veil for two days (not the entire day, but for a few good hours lol) until I watched this guide. The only thing I did not use is the rock solid. I kept Cloud Step and used it wisely only when health was dangerously low, so I can recharge my health. I only leveled up the first two on the left side for Cloud Step (Gallop and Converging Clouds). What helped me a lot is that I went back to chapter 1 or 2 I think it is to upgrade my drinks to an 18-Year-Old Coconut Wine that gives me 46% of Maximum Health for each sip and equipped my Gourd with Turtle Tear and Bee Mountain. The former Mana recovery and the latter grants a chance to sip with consuming Gourd usage. Also, under "Survival" level up Spiritual Awakening and Wrathful Might and give Robust Constitution about 3 levels. Level up Stamina halfway down (make sure to have Deft Evasion). On Smash Stance try to level up the left side mostly (the first five. The second one I only had one level to unlock the rest, and I maxed out "versality" and "Quick Hand").
This boss is actually really bad designed, sometimes your attacks won’t land and he is literally right there!, all bosses are fun to fight but this one I think is just broken, I did manage to beat him using a pill that restores full health.
Your guides are incredible, thanks so much for putting in the work to make them! I managed to finish the game including secret ending so I'm on NG+ now, excited to see you keep going with this series!
I forgot to change to thrust stance which would have been better but using the monkey/frost transformation was I think what put me over the top. Thanks for that!
wilstorm thank you! from yin tiger to zhu bajie and now duskveil, your are literally carrying me through wukong! keep them coming bro! again thanks love the content!
I like this fight! The last three I had were too easy I love the 2 phase damage sponge fast paced bosses, the god of war games really translate over to wukong it’s like a mix of the old and new god of war mechanics combined
It works i used the set up it was good i didnt use the spirit you used i used the old ginsing guai at max lvl it brings up one of those plant things that you try to collect but it turns out to be a monster and the boss will go for that istwad of you and it will attack. The boss as well that with the pluck off many helped a lot also if you just stick close to his legs it was basically like fighting the first stage except he just did the in the air jump on the sword thing twice with me but that's it just stay close and when his standing still you should build up focus points and while doing you light attacks so then do your thrust just before he goes to attack then you can get another combo in and just keep going for the legs
Me after learning that the chicken is the closest relative of the T-Rex: You've gotta be kidding. Me after fighting this horror show: Okay, now I see it.
Best way to beat this boss is with SPELL BINDER. Learn (by dying) the biggest attacks to dodge, equip spell binder and go HAM. No shame using a life saver pill if running low on health near the end.
I don't think you can even craft Golden Loong staff until after chapter 4. You need steel that is required by completing chapter 4. I'm still rocking the Chai Bai spear, but I think I'll need an upgrade real soon.
Hmmm I don't know what you even mean so it must not have happened. But also I played through to the end of the fight without killing him probably 20 times and never saw it so I'm not sure, maybe a bug?
@@WilstormGaming theres a vid on yt? Where guys second phase is like first pgase but no red sky and instead he still gets some of the upgraded moves like the spine whip thing but its was easier. And it even said defeated and all afterward unlike when theres a phase transition
There is a variant in this fight. I tried Scorpion Lord and I died, so I decided to continue exploring. When I started Duskveil, Scorpion Lord appeared of nowhere in the phase 1 and they were fighting each others. Scorpion Lord died in phase 1 and I wiped in phase 2, so I need to retry. But weirdly, I didn't get deathstinger material when he died.
Sportskeeda said this boss is harder than Scorpionlord and 100 eyed Daoist. After dying a lot from scorpionlord and 100 eyed daoist, Duskveil is actually not that hard. Very telegraphed attacks.
Yeah I personally found Scorpionlord to have the hardest moveset, Hundred eye a little easier and Duskveil easiest. Very slow and simple Moveset for the most part
Just beat this piece of shit , hardest fight so far im level 60 Took me like 2 days , best thing to do is take it super slow and keep distance in the second phase Really annoying to try over and over with it taking so much time but its the best way , his distance attacks are easy to dodge and when he slams his sword go in to do damage Charge attacks are hard to hit sometimes when he lifts his leg but just back up and keep distance
There a lot of bosses in this game where I get really close to killing them before I die. This isn't one of them. I have never gotten close in the second half.
Its best to fight Scorpion Lord before Duskveil so that you get his loot. If you beat DV before SL, you won't be able to go back and fight him. He's a missable boss
Scorpionlord first for completion. If you fight Duskveil first the Scorpionlord will also spawn up there fighting duskveil - you miss out on some of Scorpionlord's rewards this way
I killed him my first and second playthrough now im on third and he keeps regenerating his health bar Ive killed the first bar with scorpion lord phase two starts melted his health it regened to full Though it was a fluke took his health bar again and he once again regenerated now im paused mid fight to find out why 😂
Bro hes hard but hes really easy if you stick to feet dont move from his feet i had a hard time with him it was annoying me i found a flaw on him just stay by his feet attacking and dodge when he attacks its much easier that wa
It's just a badly designed boss. Each attempt is very time consuming because you have grind through the first phase every ffing time... super easy but takes suchhh a long time. And then you get to the actual boss. Crappy crappy hitbox, half my charged heavy attacks land between his feet and don't do damage. I deleted the game after trying for the 30th time and being cheated by the hitbox. Maybe i'll return if they fix this boss in an update. But this just isnt fun gaming anymore. Nothing about this boss is enjoyable. Every other boss was fine, even yellow loong was fine. But this is just made to be annoying instead of fun and challenging. Bye wukong
Stay close, under his legs, and remain on the offensive throughout for his 1st phase as this forces him to stick to a limited moveset. If you stick to this, you can finish 1st phase without using any specials
@Wilstorm..... thanks man! Came back to this boss realising id missed [SPOILER] and as per, you dont disappoint with real play-by-play info to help get through a boss 🫡💙
Been reading your guides - yours are the best out there as it breaks down move sets. Beat Duskveil on the very first try!
I removed my points from all stances, spells, transformations, everything. Then dumped them all in Survival, Smash Stance, and Spellbinder. Then went to work on those chicken legs.
