I’m in NG++ and this game is so much Fun, the first run I was always angry and wanted to abandon the game every time a boss killed me for the 60th time

Honestly, I've just killed the golden bull in chapter 6, and I feel worn out. The supreme dude on the red segway at the beginning of the chapter was enough... I'm on the cloud now, and I don't feel like continuing suddenly. I don't know where the motivation is gone. I'm level 104 and even have Erlang unlocked to fight in chptr 3 (but can't defeat him yet after one try), and have completed all meditation spots, and got lots of the hidden gear etc. I just feel... underpowered I guess. I wish I felt more op. Skill issue perhaps, yet I've never needed more than 5 tries on any boss to kill thus far. Does ng plus make the game easier?
@@jine7123 I know how you feel. I think its because your so close to the ending that you don't want to finish. I ended up leaving the nimbus cloud area and focusing on Erlang after I received the mythical wukong armor set. Beating him sparked me right up. I beat Erlang be using the 'Life saving strand' in the last moment lol.

ALSO, every time you kill a relic boss on your NG+ journey, you get an extra pick for the certain relic. If you finish the game with the true ending 3 times and equip all 18 relics, then start a NG+4, you will gain the Wukong Stance.
@@MyHandle4455 I’ve got it myself. It does not work like on Mount Huaguo tho. Basically what you gain is a “notch” on your focus meter that goes a bit beyond the 4th focus point. When you fill up the meter beyond that notch (basically like a 5th focus point) you execute the wukong stance spinny heavy attack. Your monkey then Actually speaks a voiceline, something like “from today, call me Sun Wukong!” Then you get a temporary buff that changes your stance to wukong stance for about 60 seconds. You might see it get criticized, because by the point you get it, it’s NG+4. And there are just better gear options than using the Wukong set and weapon for this late in the NG+ journey.
@@Ayatorin you dont need to start a ng+4 im still on ng+3 and i have the stance all you need is all 18 relics (as long as you did the true ending on your first cycle)
@@ThinkHungry_1 i dont think u wanna imagine that. I finished my 3rd play through half an hour ago but while playing through, some bosses can one shot you. Im maxed out in everything and was using the bull king armor set so i dont want to imagine how hard they hit and how much health they have. Granted, u should have great reflexes by then but there’s less room for error maybe.
@@ThinkHungry_1 lots of health and lots of dmg, u need some good reflexes and the most important thing is to know the boss, when u should attack and when to dodge or parry
Just now beat the game I did absolutely everything the first play through explorer blind and when I wanted to find things I was missing id use a guide. What an absolute amazing experience this game was. First time on ps5 and this made it 100% worth it. Not really into these kind of games like ever but I really enjoyed this. Had me absolutely hooked like no other, not to help I love the story and the games type of theme which is probably why I was so into it.
The more NG the more nightmare you have, NG+4 most bosses already kill you with 1-2 skills. it turns into dark soul sensation so qucikly however you still have unlimited stamina to keep dodging
i havent seen anyone mention this but the life strand also works for both the destined one and stone monkey so you can revive 2 times, so go into the stone monkey and make sure you do enough damage and let it die and not deform and you get to use the stone monkey again than when you die as the destined one you get full life and groud use it carry me thru ng++++
I'm running around Chapter 1 now with the dark Iron staff and pilgrim build with high defence and it destroys. I held of upgrading both parts of the Bull armour to get the staff early.
@@knives6683 try to get the secret armor in Chap 6 and unlock all skills in each relic… that 800+ defense. Since the dark iron staff attacks goes up depending on your defense the attack may be higher than running around with the pilgrim armor.
that's the right way you grab the alternate Gold Suozi armor (which cost no resources too) 1st NG you'll be really strong & solid 2nd NG your as strong as you would be with Bull King armor starting with NG3 you already are stronger than you would be with BK armor ^^
@@maringaragedoor58 I beat him on NG++++ within 3 tries. All you gotta do in phase 2 (phase 1 is easy so don't need any specific strategy) is use fan to stagger him as much as possible, also to use fan multiple times make sure have equipped drink that gives Qi when you take a sip. Another tip would be to use clones and sync them with 4 focus point attack for massive damage. Use water Orb for damage reduction as we fight him in water. Lastly, use transformation and might pill to have transformation back available quickly, for me yellow loong worked like a charm, it also staggers him and when you see through you hit hard with 3x thunder strikes even with 1 focus point, moreover use cloud step to heal when he's down to 50% health in phase 2. No way I'm not using pluck of many in NG+ instead of life strand spell... The unified attack with your clones from the last relic is just way too awesome not to use... Maybe later when I get tired of it... lol
@@rich1231 it is nice but life strand with the stone monkey let’s u have 4 life’s lol, if u die in the transformation you get revived again as the stone monkey. Then you still have it after you de transform so you can get revived again
One cool thing that he didn't mention is that if you die as Giant wukong transformation, the revive spell will revive you even in that form. Then when you go back to normal wukong, it''l be active again.
they did good making NG+ not crazy ass hard. I was expecting it to be but you just melt most of the bosses. Such a fantastic game. Play the 2nd round and read all the portraits as you go, the lore is fantastic

2 days ago I completed the whole game through exploration and paying close attention to what the NPCs were saying, however, it was quite hard to keep track of some quests, as many clues were given in riddles (the Mad Tiger quest and the secret quest in Chapter 2 particularly). With the ending so fresh in my mind I couldn't start a new game, not just yet.
Not mentioned here, but hte cinematic colossal fight with Erlang and the 4 Divinites features new combat animation in NG+. Giant Lion Erlang also does way more fire damage.
I found no reason to play Ng+ as I did all bosses, mysteries etc first time . I played slowly, explored everything, so i see no real reason to do it again .
@@ivanivancic391 if you really enjoyed your first run then you will enjoy replay it and get also last amazing weapon and armor. You will get also possibility to enjoy you gameplay by changing your stance you already used during your first run. I'm a NG+4 and still fully enjoyed 😊
Yeah thats what happens when instead of playing the game you watch youtube videos and just know everything before you even get there , no wonder gaming became boring if all you people do is watch videos on how to get and do something🤮🤮🤡🤡
If you want to maximize stormflash damages as well you use Loongscale Set as well with "see no evil" headgear to increase perfect dodges chances instead of using pilgrim set and boost thunder damages on transformation skill tree , im personnaly doing like this and it work perfectly with like Loong Balm drink with tiger relic,breath of fire,fruit of dao,bee mountain stone,and best spirit and vessel are the needle + the Non-Able for all 3 stats and you use cloud step with thunder strike skill and auspicious lantern curios from latern dude on Pagoda and you can sure guaranted big damages and safe shock states.
After new game plus 3 you can stop there unless you want to start dying like crazy. Now you can get 1 shot and for the very first time you need to use medicines to kill bosses and survive

using the tri point spear in NG+ is a blast. Flying threw levels and only resting for Mana purposes. (Unkillable so far headed in chapter 3) I am also using a new stance for the majority of the game and its very refreshing
@@hunterwolfe6295 yeah i started using thrust stance with that spear and spell binder. Its taking some getting used to not using wandering wight and pluck of many. But now I’m going head to head against bosses and trying to take them out the hard way.
i like to think that now we have replaced or become wukong (its kind of hard to tell other then knowing we originally were his mind) we just play as the actual wukong in every subsequent ng+ run, and he just doesnt speak for some reason (unless you get the 5th focus point from maxed relics entering wukong stance)
I'm playing it again, firstly because I loved the game and missed so much, I missed the horse guai in chapter 1 and was never able to get back to him once I found out about him. Also I want to get the true ending and I never got to fight Erlang and everyone after that. Also I didn't get to fight the Scorpion Lord boss, I stumbled upon the dusk veil and the SL just joined the flight and got himself killed.
I literally slept on that armor the whole first game, I beat it 100% complete the first game. But I decided to play New game Plus, just to see what the armor and weapons would look like upgraded. And I have to say the pilgrims armor is slept on big time. Upgrade that armor to mythical and your basically unstoppable in speed and power. I used it the whole New game Plus and haven't lost a single fight to anything since.
ng+ is a breeze, i even handicapped myself by not using the strongest tools. ng++ is a breeze as well, at least up until secret final boss and final boss
NG+ being easiest, NG+2 fairly easy for most part, NG+3 would be like your first playthrough and finally NG+4 when bossess can literally two shot you, also bossess are more aggressive. Note sure about NG+5 maybe it's even harder, but I've completed NG+4 (killed every boss) so I've seen everything.
Not just in Black Myth, in any game where there are advantages to starting over with everything you fought for on your first playthrough. And in a game like this where you're supposed to be the badass, it makes a lot more than sense.
1st playthrough is kind of crappy. But, NG+ made me really feel like a Monkey King God. I was beating every boss low to mid diff. The platinum trophy was the real journey. What an experience.
It's going to be hard for my to give up pluck of many lol😂 I'm *loving* the sixth relic perk where we do the same attack? And that *MASSIVE* damage 🤌 but I had to do a ng+ for the story tbh it's so good
I’ve beaten black myth wukong and got all achievements unlocked 100% the only reason to play it again would be to get all 18 relics after that just wait for new DLC.
My 13th reason why was because the first time I fought the yellow long it took me an entire week to actually defeat him. I wanted to see if I could beat him again when I was overpowered and I beat him first try
Listen... i'm not an AVID rpg gamer but i took the time to master this opus now im on new game plus. If you're like me, you would be more than happy to serve those bosses a new ass kicking if you had problems with them like i did. Im not on a new game cycle im on a vendetta mission lol
I play NG+ of this game to polish my fighting skills. The ultimate combo of each stance is so satisfying but they need great skills to play. In the first round playthrough, I mostly focused on how to beat the boss in the easiest way (e.g. use the fan + rock man to beat Erlang, use the needle to beat the hundred eyed Daoist, and use the monkey army to beat the Yin Tiger). So In NG+, I plan to use spell binder more to enjoy the pure joy of melee fighting.
Don’t need to do any of these. Just use the armour you get at the end so your 4th focus point permanently stays, take the synchronised power attack relic on the pluck of many and just slump bosses. Every boss you’ll take at least 50% their health off in one hit, if you’re lucky you might even one shot em!
Game is great. Now fan of a smash stance but now I am rocking Erlang's Spear with Maxed out Thrust Stance with Pilgrim Set (not even fully upgraded somehow but only the mask, idk why but probably it bugged at one point). and it seems that I won't go back to Smash Stance for quite some time.
I was able to beat every boss during my first play through, beat Erlang, and the great sage. My question, for my second play through, do I need to beat every bosses to unlock another perk for the last relic?
Misinformation on that Pilgrim set. It does stack your damage while running, but in your showcase with it, you're also using Spellbinder which sacrifices all magic, transformation, etc. for damage buffs.
I am doing NG+ only to see if I can Platinum (in PS5) as I have missed Second Rat Prince spirit (I have got it and all slots are filled but haven’t got the achievement 😢) and a few curios and seeds.. but there seems to be no reason to get even more powerful as NG+ poses no challenge at all. I am in chapter 2 and just bear Tiger Vanguard and till now I haven’t died even once. Not to Wandering Wright, White Clad Noble, and even chapter bosses. I died multiple times to WW, WCN, and so many times to TV. In NG+ no deaths till now. So, the more powerful armor and staffs are definitely not a reason to play! But I will complete NG+ to try and get Platinum. And only for that.
It's a huge misconception that the pilgrim armor allows you to empower your charged heavy; it just doesn't apply that +100% bonus in most cases, the timing is just too tight. You're just using your stamina running around for nothing while you could be dodging and attacking. it's a great armor though, for other reasons.
Some bosses are already gone for me in new game plus and I can’t fight erlang for some reason ? I’m confused as to why I didn’t get the spirits from the armour worm . The colloidal rock monster isn’t there and I can’t fight erlang ? Any ideas what’s going on ?
The Dark Staff with the pilgrim Mystical destroys BUT the Fuban staff at 25% CRIT is insane and using the Wukong mystical armor I am at almost 50% CRIT chance (with all points in CRIT and curios as well) lol😂
The main reason I found is for the shire challenge of every enemy evey boss difficulty is raised every time u ng+ so each run will still be challenging and im on my forth ng+ run about to fight the divine rival and then the broken shell and to be honest run 5ng+ right after that cause there some still bosses i skipped
Yes much much much harder ,if you on ng+5 almost everyone 1 or 2 shots you even if you are maxed level or have the highest armor ,the devs really fucked up the scaling in this game.
If you mean how to play your original save just click continue journey.For Ng+ You don’t have to do everything just all the secret chapters in and chapter 3 make sure you do the treasure hunter quest then you good.
@@WorldBeater123 if you get the true ending 3 times you can get the “wukong stance” which is just a timed stance if you charge your heavy attack all the way while wearing the wukong armor set
On NG++, platinum trophy. So with that, there's really no reason to play anymore, other than getting the wukong stace. Super fun game though, all the tutorials really helped on my first play through, because erlang put belt 2 ass my first time. 10/10 game imo.

The only reason was because I missed the horse on my first play and get revenge from that rat yellow rat and other bosses that almost made me cry 🤣
you need the artifact in the secret area for the rat boss, with that the fight becomes a breeze

I use the ebongold armor set. Really dope too. The decoy stays out after you do your strike. And does continuous damage. Used it to beat everyone
Im on my ng++++ and the broken sage just violated me badly the other bosses are easy but sage is just a savage

All bosses feel easy in NG+ with Erlangs spear and a Spellbinder build. So far (start of chapter 4) I have killed the bosses first try.

2 days ago I completed the whole game through exploration and paying close attention to what the NPCs were saying, however, it was quite hard to keep track of some quests, as many clues were given in riddles (the Mad Tiger quest and the secret quest in Chapter 2 particularly).
With the ending so fresh in my mind I couldn't start a new game, not just yet.
Not mentioned here, but hte cinematic colossal fight with Erlang and the 4 Divinites features new combat animation in NG+. Giant Lion Erlang also does way more fire damage.
342 sparks all side bosses and both endings first play thru and let me say this is by far my favorite game
something I noticed, when using a 4 point smash heavy with the Dark Iron staff, the staff doesn't extend in length
Full pilgrim set was at the end of 5th chapter in first game...
I found no reason to play Ng+ as I did all bosses, mysteries etc first time . I played slowly, explored everything, so i see no real reason to do it again .
@@ivanivancic391 if you really enjoyed your first run then you will enjoy replay it and get also last amazing weapon and armor. You will get also possibility to enjoy you gameplay by changing your stance you already used during your first run.

ng+ is for revenge. ng++ and after are challenges, the bosses are much harder, i guess it can be good for ppl who likes to take challenges

If you want to maximize stormflash damages as well you use Loongscale Set as well with "see no evil" headgear to increase perfect dodges chances instead of using pilgrim set and boost thunder damages on transformation skill tree , im personnaly doing like this and it work perfectly with like Loong Balm drink with tiger relic,breath of fire,fruit of dao,bee mountain stone,and best spirit and vessel are the needle + the Non-Able for all 3 stats and you use cloud step with thunder strike skill and auspicious lantern curios from latern dude on Pagoda and you can sure guaranted big damages and safe shock states.
Just fought Erlang for the first time, beat him in 3 tries, that huge boss battle was phenomenal 🙏
After new game plus 3 you can stop there unless you want to start dying like crazy. Now you can get 1 shot and for the very first time you need to use medicines to kill bosses and survive

I’m on new game plus just crafted the bull iron helmet and the dark iron staff used spell binder with 3 thunder flames and I melted yin tigers health bar
A one of the main reason I play on new game+ is for unlocking the wokung stand

I spent 3 days and at least 30+ attempts for Erlang. But Wukong, I beat in ~5 attempts. After Erlang, I don’t think anyone can challenge you as much.

using the tri point spear in NG+ is a blast. Flying threw levels and only resting for Mana purposes. (Unkillable so far headed in chapter 3) I am also using a new stance for the majority of the game and its very refreshing
@@hunterwolfe6295 yeah i started using thrust stance with that spear and spell binder. Its taking some getting used to not using wandering wight and pluck of many. But now I’m going head to head against bosses and trying to take them out the hard way.
i like to think that now we have replaced or become wukong (its kind of hard to tell other then knowing we originally were his mind) we just play as the actual wukong in every subsequent ng+ run, and he just doesnt speak for some reason (unless you get the 5th focus point from maxed relics entering wukong stance)
I’m playing ng+ to run a fade on all the bosses that made me struggle. These hands are rated E for Everyone 😂
My only reason to play ng+ was to get all of the achievements. And was fun as hell.
I'm playing it again, firstly because I loved the game and missed so much, I missed the horse guai in chapter 1 and was never able to get back to him once I found out about him. Also I want to get the true ending and I never got to fight Erlang and everyone after that. Also I didn't get to fight the Scorpion Lord boss, I stumbled upon the dusk veil and the SL just joined the flight and got himself killed.
Still on my first play through at ch 6 with level 326. Definitely looking forward to NG+
I literally slept on that armor the whole first game, I beat it 100% complete the first game. But I decided to play New game Plus, just to see what the armor and weapons would look like upgraded. And I have to say the pilgrims armor is slept on big time. Upgrade that armor to mythical and your basically unstoppable in speed and power. I used it the whole New game Plus and haven't lost a single fight to anything since.
Got the true ending on my 1st play thru. Back to blaCK Wind MOuntain now on NG+
Do enemies/bosses scale up in difficulty in NG+, NG++, etc.? If so which run is the easiest where the equipment is more OP than the enemies?
Only in ng+ ,go on forward you get one or two shots by bosses in ng+++ is no fun anymore.

ng+ is a breeze, i even handicapped myself by not using the strongest tools. ng++ is a breeze as well, at least up until secret final boss and final boss

NG+ being easiest, NG+2 fairly easy for most part, NG+3 would be like your first playthrough and finally NG+4 when bossess can literally two shot you, also bossess are more aggressive. Note sure about NG+5 maybe it's even harder, but I've completed NG+4 (killed every boss) so I've seen everything.

Not just in Black Myth, in any game where there are advantages to starting over with everything you fought for on your first playthrough.
And in a game like this where you're supposed to be the badass, it makes a lot more than sense.
1st playthrough is kind of crappy. But, NG+ made me really feel like a Monkey King God. I was beating every boss low to mid diff. The platinum trophy was the real journey. What an experience.

I’ve beaten black myth wukong and got all achievements unlocked 100% the only reason to play it again would be to get all 18 relics after that just wait for new DLC.
My 13th reason why was because the first time I fought the yellow long it took me an entire week to actually defeat him. I wanted to see if I could beat him again when I was overpowered and I beat him first try

Listen... i'm not an AVID rpg gamer but i took the time to master this opus now im on new game plus. If you're like me, you would be more than happy to serve those bosses a new ass kicking if you had problems with them like i did. Im not on a new game cycle im on a vendetta mission lol

I play NG+ of this game to polish my fighting skills. The ultimate combo of each stance is so satisfying but they need great skills to play. In the first round playthrough, I mostly focused on how to beat the boss in the easiest way (e.g. use the fan + rock man to beat Erlang, use the needle to beat the hundred eyed Daoist, and use the monkey army to beat the Yin Tiger). So In NG+, I plan to use spell binder more to enjoy the pure joy of melee fighting.
In 3-4NG+ the enemy just need one or two shoot to defeat you 😂

I've done 2 playtroughs for 100% completion. Was just flying trough ng. Character is a god at that point
Don’t need to do any of these. Just use the armour you get at the end so your 4th focus point permanently stays, take the synchronised power attack relic on the pluck of many and just slump bosses. Every boss you’ll take at least 50% their health off in one hit, if you’re lucky you might even one shot em!
NG+ it's also mandatory for getting the platinum

Game is great.
Now fan of a smash stance but now I am rocking Erlang's Spear with Maxed out Thrust Stance with Pilgrim Set (not even fully upgraded somehow but only the mask, idk why but probably it bugged at one point). and it seems that I won't go back to Smash Stance for quite some time.
I was able to beat every boss during my first play through, beat Erlang, and the great sage. My question, for my second play through, do I need to beat every bosses to unlock another perk for the last relic?

Misinformation on that Pilgrim set. It does stack your damage while running, but in your showcase with it, you're also using Spellbinder which sacrifices all magic, transformation, etc. for damage buffs.

One of the worst bosses … but there are worse. I was stuck in him for awhile. Lead him over to the rocks on the right … helps alittle.
I found that pillar staff is helpful with bosses who are large and get away quick due to reach and safety, try staggering her with +2 focus points too
I am doing NG+ only to see if I can Platinum (in PS5) as I have missed Second Rat Prince spirit (I have got it and all slots are filled but haven’t got the achievement 😢) and a few curios and seeds.. but there seems to be no reason to get even more powerful as NG+ poses no challenge at all. I am in chapter 2 and just bear Tiger Vanguard and till now I haven’t died even once. Not to Wandering Wright, White Clad Noble, and even chapter bosses. I died multiple times to WW, WCN, and so many times to TV. In NG+ no deaths till now. So, the more powerful armor and staffs are definitely not a reason to play!
But I will complete NG+ to try and get Platinum. And only for that.
It's a huge misconception that the pilgrim armor allows you to empower your charged heavy; it just doesn't apply that +100% bonus in most cases, the timing is just too tight. You're just using your stamina running around for nothing while you could be dodging and attacking. it's a great armor though, for other reasons.
Some bosses are already gone for me in new game plus and I can’t fight erlang for some reason ? I’m confused as to why I didn’t get the spirits from the armour worm . The colloidal rock monster isn’t there and I can’t fight erlang ? Any ideas what’s going on ?
I’m playing again to get that lantern in chapter 3 and upgrade the staffs.

The Dark Staff with the pilgrim Mystical destroys BUT the Fuban staff at 25% CRIT is insane and using the Wukong mystical armor I am at almost 50% CRIT chance (with all points in CRIT and curios as well) lol😂

The main reason I found is for the shire challenge of every enemy evey boss difficulty is raised every time u ng+ so each run will still be challenging and im on my forth ng+ run about to fight the divine rival and then the broken shell and to be honest run 5ng+ right after that cause there some still bosses i skipped

Yes much much much harder ,if you on ng+5 almost everyone 1 or 2 shots you even if you are maxed level or have the highest armor ,the devs really fucked up the scaling in this game.

If you mean how to play your original save just click continue journey.For Ng+ You don’t have to do everything just all the secret chapters in and chapter 3 make sure you do the treasure hunter quest then you good.

On NG++, platinum trophy. So with that, there's really no reason to play anymore, other than getting the wukong stace. Super fun game though, all the tutorials really helped on my first play through, because erlang put belt 2 ass my first time. 10/10 game imo.
To state no you don’t need to 100% the game for the true ending you just have to unlock and beat the erlang shen boss fight
