This build is made easy for those who find it a struggle to clear Erlang Shen. You are pretty much just repeating the same rotation over and over again.

I was almost there. I was getting him down to next to no health and running out of everything and dying. I already had this build but was running monkeys instead of the staff spin, and when I swapped those two out I got a victory on the 3rd attempt. Great guide and very well explained. Thank you sir!

3 days trying to beat Erland and this is by far the best method. The first time I swapped to your specifications, I got him down to less than 30% health fairly easily. I tripped up after that, but on my third try with this I finally got him. THEN MY GAME CRASHED during the next part. I was about to quit and just uninstall it at this point.. but I took a breath, and tried once more and I beat him in like 3 minutes with one try. I was quite impressed. Thankfully no crash the 2nd time or I probably would have quit legitimately.
This is the best guide and it goes to actually explain his fighting technique. I really appreciate how quickly I ended up beating him after doing this. Thank you!

By far the easiest approach for this boss that really works since first playthroughl. Just had to give a couple tries to practice rotation but nailed it in my 3rd try. Thanks a lot for sharing!

Great build. Only weakness I saw was headbutt range. Tiger Acolyte might work to fix that. Excellent breakdown. A lot of people just show the fight with no commentary.

Yeah I agree! I went with Wandering Wight in this build because 99% of players has this spirit and it adds 30 DEF when maxed out. Much easier for everyone to copy. Anyways! Thank you for the input!
Finally a build that is doable. Spellbinder build is near impossible for Erlang. But your build makes is so much less stressful. Thank you Sifu
i find that the spell binder build was better for me. since using immobilize on him makes it so that he can immobilize you which usually lead to death. spellbinder build relies heavily on being able to dodge since you can't use anything else to clutch on, that's why people find it hard.
This is crazy, I was able to defeat him after 4 tries, yes it's different on how I fight but that small learning curve will get you there keep fighting!

i did beat Erland with spellbinder build within 20 attemps, but i almost broke my console with all the stress i put on it, and on myself. Wish i saw this video sooner

Thank you for this guide bro , finally kicked his ass after many attempts lol anybody reading this don’t quit ! He’s a hard boss but very beatable with this method. Time your dodges and save your gourd. Don’t use immobilize without doing the headbutt first as he’s going to reshield himself and block your immobilization. Hold your nerve when you see hes down to his last bit of health by that time you should have the fan available to finish the job. Good luck destined one’s !

A good optimization for the rock transformation: transform, walk up to him, press click 3 times, walk up to him again, click 3 times, walk up to him again, click 3 times. Will do more shield damage than attacking only once after getting close to him.

This loop skills moveset make erlang easier for sure, many players stuck with this boss not because his attack or dodge skill, the real reason is the way we can attack to his HP not the shield. Love this video ❤

Great guide! Took me a second to understand the rotation, but got him my 4th try. Im over level 100 and didn't even need the transformation, the synergy with the equipment and gourds was enough to take him down. Awesome build.

i used a build inspired by this one. Instead of using wondering wight, i used the tiger's acolyte for the range and smaller qi cost. The attacks were more consistent but slightly less damage. Your build is really nice, thank you for the video.
