Decent information sir. A few things though. Nissan recommends CVT fluid every 30K. Also, the coolant overflow tank you showed will not get coolant in your face when opened if hot. That is the radiator cap you're thinking of, located at the front of the car on the radiator (It says do not open when hot). Also, you can check oil when hot, it may be slightly over the top dot (2-3 mm), but that's acceptable. Just ensure it's on level ground when checking. Finally, if your brake fluid is low, it usually means your brake pads are low (they correspond with each other). If there's a leak, your brake like will illuminate as the pressure sensor will show a loss of brake fluid pressure within the system.
Nissan Owner's Manual recommend changes CVT fluid at 60K Miles but and honest mechanic would say: BS! Every 25-30K (or 1 a year) and a aftermarket small cooler/radiator for the CVT. And forget CVT problems at all. I did it in my 2013 Nissan Rogue.
This video is great for my wife I just recently bought her this same vehicle, and she loves it! This video is very helpful to check all your vehicle fluids.
My mother has a 2017 and I am getting ready to change the fluids in it. It does have 4 wheel drive. I read that they specify 80w90 for the transfer case and differential. DO NOT use gear oil in the transmission itself as that or even ATF will destroy a CVT. I have read horror stories about cars other than Nissan with CVTs and regular ATF accidentally put in. It ruins them quick too so make sure to use only the correct fluid if you mess with the CVT. It is bad enough that CVTs have a bad rap for early failures even when the correct fluid is in them. While CVTs are not new technology they are still working on making them more reliable. The belt is what commonly fails in them.
u should be changing cvt fluid very frequently probably why so many people have problems with the transmission they say like 15-20 thousand miles keep it nice and green color
Does a 2WD 2009 Nissan Rogue have a rear differential or Front differential? If yes, where is it? Does it also need a Transfer Case fluid that needs to be change and where is it?
The coolant reservoir never will be hot even if the engine is running for many hours. The radiator will be super hot if you take cap off. Also you must check the transmission fluid frequently. This transmission is terrible
I have a 2017 Rogue SV and it is time to change the transfer case and differential oil. Do those take any special fluid or would 85 or 80w90 oil be OK? I also wonder if the transfer case or differential contains any yellow metals for which EP additives are sometimes not recommended. You can tell I have never done it on this yet and that is why I seek this advice. Any replies are welcome.
Dear. This video is great. I just have a quick question about powering steering fluid on 2018 nissan rogue. I dont see anywhere to add power steering fluid on 2018 nissan rogue. Could you please help?
Check oil cap is should say something like 5-30 or 10-30 etc... if not then open your users manual and find “motor oil” should be there... or call dealer
My Mother had a 2010 Jeep Patriot and it had a CVT which failed with 36,000 miles. It also had a tendency to shut off at random moments in traffic. One time while I was driving it home I could feel it trying to stall again but I guess I had enough momentum to help fight that problem. We no longer have that vehicle but I wonder if Chrysler ever recalled them for that problem. It reminded me of the faulty ignition switches in some GM vehicles. It would not surprise me if some Jeep owners had accidents because of that. She liked the Jeep but I told her I am glad to be rid of that deathtrap.
Thank you, all I was worried about was the power steering

And if you top off brake fluid just before changing brake pads, you will have a mess when you compress calipers.... ask me how I know

Thanks for everything , my friend.
My steering wheel is make noises when I turn it. What should do to fix it ? There’s not any reservoir to put the power steering fluid.
You have a bad rack and pinion
That link shows how to fix the squeezing in the steering wheel
Tire rods and ball joints che k them too
You can and should change the CVT fluid every 25,000 miles.
How can I add power steering fluid
Hello? He didn’t tell us what type of oil to put in
You did not show where the opening of the engine oil is.
I have the same car so your advice and knowledge is great

Your car has electric steering which doesnt need power steering fluid
So what to do if it is making noises?
Hi, would you please tell what kind of engine oil this Nissan needs, I just got Rogue 2013 too, and don't know which type of oil use. Thanks

Cvt fluid should be changed and 30-60k intervals! And is very easy to change. Use only Nissan ns2 yes

Na zdrowie!
ohhh u totally forgot of the most evident of all... the radiator...
He said coolant in the first one, and pointed to the radiator reservoir
