It’s not for everybody, but it is how I hit and many other top players hit. If you doesn’t click them it probably not for you
I’ve never seen a video with this topic and go this in depth. Props to you. Immediately helped my game, now I’m just looking for players with early and high leg kicks!
Great video bro! Not many players break down this concept. Props to you for going in depth on it and helping others
Your videos really help me out a lot as someone who always played football growing up I only knows the basics of baseball and you clearly know baseball so I get educated while trying to get better at this game, it’s really fun and I’m not good at all. I can’t imagine how fun it is when you’re actually good at the game
Thanks for the video. Your “tempo” vid from last year really made me a better hitter!!
I'm new to the game this year. Your last 2 videos helped me get on what I should be paying attention to.
Piazza actually has a great swing finally. He's been my favorite catcher by far
Gets gassed on legend but lower difficulties I don’t mind it
I just got my kontrol freeks in today and it was almost an instant improvement to my accuracy of the PCI, feels weird being on the ball this often lol
They will take your game to another level! I won’t ever play without them now!
@@daryldixon3685 what kind did you buy
They're good around the zone, but not great on balls out of the zone.
is it thr ones that stick out? or the rings
Which ones are they
I been watching the Show videos for years and ive never heard anyone say this.
That's how you know all these top players tips and tricks videos are bullshit.
They'd never tell us the truth to actually help us get better 😂
So shoutout out to this guy. Earned my sub.
Touche!!
I appreciate the advice. I would pay attention to the leg kick and would think the timing of the leg kick determined what pitch was coming and I ended up messing myself up mentally so I appreciate you being honest and saying this.
Depends on exactly what batter you’re using but yeah not a “cheat code”
Great vid. I always thought most players have similar timings. Paying attention to leg kicks actually distract me but imma try to look into this more. I been warming up against the CPU on legend and be Whooping them hopefully it’s a sign I’m getting better lol
Agreed. I’m in the same boat tbh. I never could focus on leg kicks as it distracts my mind but I can see exactly what they mean. I usually focus on the shoulder (idk why) but it works for me online and against legend cpu haha. I’ll try it out maybe when TA2 comes out soon.
This video is being very helpful so far👍 btw how can i use my dd team in team practice?
I'm a freak and use analog stride 😂 i just love the immersive feeling of it. I sit around 650-750 ranked and I'm just fine with that knowing I'm sacrificing competitiveness for immersion
thanks for these tips
Is there a reason why you use the bar PCI? or is that just preference? I’m using altitude with the star fighter inner, simply bc I feel like it helps me with verticality for my swings
Do you use kontrol freeks and precision rings? Which ones if you do. Thanks.
I learned this baaaack in the day using Manny Ramirez..I realized my timing was easier to understand while learning his high leg drive
That also works on timing instead of using zone. It’s the leg kick you’re right on when it comes to that you get better swings.
I needed this. My timing is awful and if I win online it’s because I pitch a near shutout thanks
Do you think with these tips plus “zoom” hitting view is essential? Or is strike zone still the best?
For me I’ve been pretty fortunate in not getting caught up in thinking about players swing animations. It’s never really been something I’ve thought about. It’s always felt like different swing animations isn’t relevant FOR ME. I focus on ball and timing the pitch and have success that way. But I can see where if you do get caught up in the looks of different swing animations you can start too feel like different animations make a big difference when really I think all it is that animation suits your eyes better so it then feels better or “faster” or the opposite it feels “slow” and weak. So for me I’m better completely ignoring the player and his animation and focusing only on ball, my thumb pressure resting on the button during pre-pitch routines and timing the press.
How r u using all players in the practice? Custom roster and mimicking the pitcher?
Each batter has his own leg kick, but you can see when they’re about to put the foot down and you start your swing. If it’s a strike you’re getting good swings. It’s even showing it on the timing picture to the left.
Are we meant to swing when the leg kick is complete or as its happening or at the start? I'm confused
Exactly. He talks about watching the leg kick for 20 mins but doesn’t say when during the leg kick we should start to think about swinging. Smh
Right when the foot lands completely. There are some players with fast leg kicks like Marcell Ozuna and Matt Olson, others have average leg kick like Mike Trout and Acuña and others have a long leg kick like Aaron Judge and Justin Turner but at the end u have to notice ans get used to his move with the peripheral vision. Im currently making an extensive list with every leg kick's LS player (spanish version). Maybe you might take a look at it in a near future
@@thegreedy211 please let me know! thank you for this explanation.
assuming i’m only going for the XP and don’t care about stubs, is there a huge difference in the amount of XP you get from one conquest game vs one mini season game on veteran
I’m having major issues hitting. I’m starting to wonder if it’s my internet. I either hit a home run or nothing. For example with Gary Sanchez I have 7 hits. All 7 were home runs. After about 600ab’s I have 1 double. With buxton I have 2 hits in 57ab’s. If I’m offline I’m not a great hitter but i get doubles. Could it be the internet?
This is great. My biggest problem is I pull the PCI down too far and too often, so I pop it up a lot. Any tips for that?
Gotta improve pitch recognition
You can also start counting on ONE right when the ball comes out of the pitcher's hand (release point) and then count to TWO. So the method works as follow:
1. After counting ONE, you have to ALWAYS look at the fast ball to time his pitches.
2. Once u know the pitcher's gonna throw a fast ball, start counting to time the fastball like: ONE (RELEASE POINT).. TWO (BALL REACHED TO CATCHER'S HAND). Thats the timing for ANY fastballs (90mph and above). You're basically doing tempo but with the pitcher.
3. if the count reaches TWO before reaching to the plate then the ball is an offspeed pitch (change up, slider, etc..)
Hope this tip helps everyone who are learning tempo and have to always look at the leg kick which is kinda frustrating.
Wow this works. Thanks
@@Prnharlem130stNiceee. Ive improved this method now and Im working on a document with the leg kick of every LS player. It'll take me quite a lot of time but it'll worth the time spent.
@@thegreedy211 let me know how that goes!
@@Prnharlem130st Sure!
Count one when pitcher gathers 2 when he lifts leg and 3 when he releases the ball after that u need to know ur awareness of the type pitch
you said the leg kick doesn’t let you know if it’s an off speed or a fastball so did they take out tempo? or is it still in the game?
Negative. The leg kick will tell u whether a pitch is a FB or an offspeed pitch. The thing is that very few hitters have the same animation for both type of pitches.
"Where the ball is in the zone horizontally" I feel like this is where I struggle. That and depth perception. Any suggestions??
Thanks for the great video BTW.
Find a camera angle you like the best sz, sz 2, sz high are popular
frosti uses tempo to differentiate fastball and off speed
The pitcher does shake his head yes or no when you're looking in the right direction just watch him and you'll notice it
When?
Oh my god this works
How do we load up our team in practice? Can’t seem to figure it out
You have to create the roster
lol Corey Seager has such a good swing. Don’t base it off the foot kick and his is literally top 5
3. Leg kick
2. Ball release
1. HIT!
roster name?
Cheat code?! Lol!! I played college ball and played since I was 4 years old. I use the word tempo as well, but either way is fine. In my opinion, though, being a pitcher myself, look at what is closest to the pitcher release point. For me, focusing more on the logo on his hat. Some use the letters, and some use the shoulders to the right or left hander. All of these work very well within The Show. Find what you like and go with that. I look forward to more of your videos, my dude. Sorry for the novel I wrote😅
I never said it was a cheat code
@CJ12KYT I wasn't talking about you, dude. Lol! You mentioned other people thought it was a cheat code and made it clear that it's not. I apologize. I didn't word myself properly. Hahaha! I like your channel a lot! You're very informative and actually try to help us all out, and that's really a kind thing to do. Look forward to more of them!
This game is way easier to hit than years past.
I’m having trouble in seeing the curve ball low. And not swinging at it. So guys just spam low ball and I can’t hit. I built up a good team and started playing ranked and that happened, so I haven’t played in days. So frustrating
I can’t use the pci. I can’t ever correctly guess where the ball is going so I have to just bat using button timing. I also have to play on rookie cuz veteran whips my ass.
Just gotta play more, but definitely practice and get used to the PCI cause you’ll never be able to win consistently with directional hitting.
@@tommyryan8631 i play every day. I cant use pci. I have watched 100 videos and nothing helps. I love baseball but this game is to hard for me.
It doesn’t matter what you do the game makes you win or loose, no different than any other sport simulation video game
So the top players in the world are just luckier than everyone else?
@@CJ12KYT they spend more money on the game than everyone else, there’s benefits that come with that
@@trueshitonlywhat do they buy specifically to give them the advantage, I’m trynna be great
@@trueshitonlylmao they have nms with weaker teams dumb argument
Sub earned. Delete the vid please. LOL
I’m scoring 10 plus runs on HOF this year and loosing. It’s wild. It’s tank city this year. Hitting balls 535 ft. Like really
