    Thank you amber. I'm a car guy and looking for the best kind of towels for my cars detailing.. so many types of towels. waffle, terry, microfiber.... This helped a lot but im sure there are other new car guys eager to learn what types of towels to use correctly for each section. maybe you could do a video for that.. like terry cloth for this part of the car... microfiber for this part... and windows this type etc... that would help alot so i can know what to buy.... then you can even add an amazon affiliate link to such towels to make it easier to buy... thanks amber just a thought... gonna go buy my honda some towels now... cleaning principles apply across different mediums cool...

      Thank you for your feedback and wonderful ideas. I can provide my knowledge on which cloths I use for cleaning homes but car detailing is not my specialty. I just wanted to be honest about that, however I do agree that cleaning principles can be applied to different mediums so thank you again for such wonderful response and for your subscription. Wishing you all the best!

    Would you choose micro fiber or terry for your mattress protector?

    • @amberswansoncleans
      @amberswansoncleans  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@solb101 are you asking this question to clean up a stain or to protect the mattress? If you are trying to remove a stain and it's not greasy I would use a microfiber cloth as they are more water absorbent in my opinion. But if there is a greasy type stain to preserve the mattress I would steam clean the mattress first then use a Terry cloth to loosen up and clean with also. Then use a mattress protector that is plastic or silicone kind to maintain dirt, debris, and future spills. I wasn't sure on how to answer this question without more context so I hope this helps abd if not please provide me with more information on what you are cleaning and trying to do for additonal assistance. Have a lovely day and thanks for checking out my video and channel 😀

      Thanks for the cleaning tips Amber. I’m not quite sure how I would steam clean a mattress. I was really asking about a fitted sheet to protect the mattress with a waterproof laminate liner.
      Which is better for stain resistance and absorbing liquid? Thanks again.

      @@solb101 Happy to help! hmm.. There are a couple of ways you can steam clean a mattress or to just clean it as good as possible :) 1) you can purchase a small hand held one at a local store like target etc they run about $60-100 bucks great time to buy them around holiday seasons as prices drop ;) 2) You can grab some hot water and use a bowl, laundry detergent like tide and a bucket to hold the hot water and clean the stain a circular motion to lift the stain then dab and let it dry 3) Is just use a terry or microfiber cloth depending on the stain from my previous message to you to get it sanitary and clean enough. Okay as far as the fitted sheet, thank you for the clarification solb101 :) Gotcha I would base it off of price and comfort with the options provided for the fitted sheets 1. They have a waterproof one you can buy on amazon or temu that works well I've used that camping and if you want more durable for individuals or animals wetting the bed more heavy duty option would be to go with the heavy absorbency bed pad that's washable for $30 on Amazon or The $35 option on Amazon called the Bedlore waterproof mattress protector which will protect the mattresses. All options are 4.6 stars and above, price is fair, and depends on your needs and comfort. I hope this helps! :) have an awesome weekend!

    I have a terry cloth designer bag. How would you recommend I clean it?

    • @amberswansoncleans
      @amberswansoncleans  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there and thanks for Stopping By! The nature of terry cloth bags makes them particularly prone to pick up dirt and satins. If stains are visible, use cool water and gentle soap. Do not wring or rub the bag aggressively, oh and make sure to avoid direct pressure from any other materials. Rinse well, and allow to air-dry away from direct sunlight. Treat new fabric bags with a protective spray, like TexGuard or Scotchgard, to ward off stains. I hope this helps and wishing you all the best! Have a great day!

But he also used a electric polisher too which I have a polisher too rotary and a da polisher would want to do auto detailing in future for a job but now I do cleaning at a school and have cleaned for multiple jobs but this job now am wanting to leave soon work for Aramark and not making enough here been here just about a year and a half now but the longest cleaning job have been at and am looking for another job now.

      With auto detailing you will need a plush thick cotton terry cloth for sure. Polisher/buffer makes it a lot easier and faster to clean, buff, and polish your car. There are plenty of auto youtube videos you could learn more from. Thank you for your comment and wishing you a happy and prosperous year and many more.

    What do I use for cleaning M1 MacBook air? Terry or micro fiber?

    • @amberswansoncleans
      @amberswansoncleans  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it depends on the stain? However I would recommend a microfiber cloth but if it's sticky I would use the Terry cloth. If you are thinking of using these cloths to clean your screen I wouldn't recommend either. But a screen cleaning cloth or pre-made ones for example like baby Wipes but they have screen cleaning Wipes as well. I hope this helps? 😀

      The truth is, that anything polyester releases micro-plastics when washed. The worst offender is actually our clothing. Using micro-fiber actually reduces much of the waste that would otherwise be created through cleaning. Yes, they do release micro-plastics, but they tend to take most of the blame on account of the name they’ve been given.

      @@jackzwaan3198 Well said! thanks for sharing!! Honestly there is so much information out there to validate both views. But what I appreciate the most is how much people are becoming more aware of what we use and how it impacts our health and the planet. '
