Hi Melissa. I have been using Maker's Microfiber cloths ever since you first started selling them. They are great. They have really made cleaning so much easier and they wash beautifully. For people who are concerned about the price, they save me money in cleaning products since plain water works for a lot of surfaces when I use these cloths. For example, I have a magnifying make-up mirror that I use every day. I always seem to get make-up and hairspray on it. I used to clean it with glass cleaner and paper towels, but that seemed to smear the gunk around and took a lot of effort. Now, I just wet a microfiber cloth, wring it out well and easily wipe away the gunk and grime on my mirror. I have a three level townhouse and I have a pile of these on each level. Love them!

I, personally, would rather spend a bit more time cleaning than release a bit more microplastics into the water supply. Also, did you account for the microplastic contamination that occur from manufacturing the cloths? What about the human costs? Where are they manufactured?
It would sure be cool if you could sell natural fiber microfiber cloths. Have you looked into it?
I'm a loyal follower, have learned a lot from you and just prefer bamboo or hemp over microfiber when I employ your very helpful cleaning tips. Thank you!

I got a large space kit about two years ago. I keep one plush one and a glass cloth in the car. The second plush one I use as a bath rug and I have colour coded the rest - blue for dusting, the purple ones for the bathrooms. They still work amazing and I do wash them approximately once a week. The kitchen towels are a bomb too! ❤️

Maker's Clean Microfibre cloths are my religion. I bought them a few years back and I haven't looked at paper towels since! I think microfibre had a bad rep because of the dollar store ones that are cheap and little. I've bought them as gifts, I've added to my collection a bit every year and the towels are THE BEST! This is the best cleaning tool I have ever purchased.

    Hello CMS!
I hesitated about purchasing these clothes for probably a year. I saw the black Friday sale and thought hmm I might as well finally try them!
I wanted to use the microfiber clothes for a while to give an honest review. I wanted to try most of the cloths so I purchased a small space kit, an auto kit and a pack of waffle weave cloths. The only cloth I didn’t purchase was the optical cloth.
I am a very VERY picky cloth person. I have literally tried every brand of dish towel. I have 3 drawers of towels in my kitchen. I would consider myself a home cook so my cloths need to stand up to the challenges in the kitchen. I have used Norwex clothes for years and wanted to see how these compared.
    Notes:
-I live in an area with very hard water and I also wash all my dishes by hand.
    - I use my own multipurpose spray made of vinegar, dish soap and essential oils.
-I have been washing them in cold or warm water with very gentle soap and I hang to dry them finish off on the low setting in the dryer.
I have used the clothes for over a month now and this is my review:
#1 the general purpose cloth: This cloth is awesome. It’s so absorbent; I can’t believe how much liquid it can suck up. I have been using it for general cleaning around the kitchen and house.
#2 the waffle weave cloth: 1 word: AMAZING. I would buy a hundred of these if I could afford it! I have never had a tea towel be so absorbent and dry dishes better than this! I hosted my family at Christmas and they all raved about these clothes. I ended up purchasing some as gifts for relatives. I also use it for a hair towel as Melissa suggested. My hair dries soo fast and it’s more shiny and manageable.
#3 the glass and electronics cloth - I have only used this to clean mirrors and my glass coffee tables. I spray the surface with a multipurpose spray similar to Melissa’s. They work great!
#4 the makers mini cloth -I love this cloth and have been using it with my baby to clean her face and wipe down her highchair after meals. Same great quality as the general purpose clothes - just smaller.
#5 the double - sided utility cloth - I haven’t used this cloth as much, but it is soooo plush and soft. I used it to clean the front of my stove and it worked well. I could see how it would work great for stainless steel appliances.
If you are hesitating on buying any of these clothes....DON’T. I wish I didn’t wait so long. I actually ordered a few more cloths on Boxing Day!

I LOVE the microfiber cloths I bought from Maker's Clean. Bought on July 1st (Wednesday), and they were here by the next Monday 💖. Laundered them all as recommended, though it was a hard wrench, especially with the fluffy Mango ones. Really helping get all the water off the tiles after a shower. My apartment is still infested with moving boxes, so not a lot to clean. Kitchen sink and counters are happy though!

Yep . I was a professional house cleaner for years . I just used water and a microfiber cloth to dust all furniture. Then you never get streaks . They’re awesome that way . And I use them to wash my face . My only problem is that I use Squalane oil on my face first to loosen sunscreen and grime . Oils do ruin the cloths . I hate that . Because the combination of the squalane and the cloth really cleans and exfoliates so well 😊

Even if microfiber is better than a cotton rag at removing bacteria from a surface, that surfave will not remain that any for any length of time. Science has shown that bacteria are EVERYWHERE, and the vast majority of them are harmless. In fact, to create a bacteris free surface and keep it that way will cost a lot more in time and resources than the production of that microfiber cloth is worth.

They may not be the biggest culprit of micro-plastics, but they still are a source. Even if you use a guppy bag, they cloths themselves are still made of plastic. They might biodegrade... but, they don't disappear. Once you make these cloths, they are here forever. Yes they are saving waste from other ways of cleaning, but there are also other alternatives that don't shed plastic. A ton of wood fiber, or hemp fiber cloths out there that work just as well. Sorry, I won't be buying these. I was hoping the "Truth" would be actually helpful.

I can't believe it's this difficult. I have been trying to find towels to dry my dishes, but everything I have purchased lately has been terrible. I've bought 2 different kinds from Amazon. Both had reviews through the roof. The first one I thought was 100% cotton, but it turned out to be 100% spun cotton. The second one are the microfiber towels. The first one does nothing but push the water and the microfiber one gets drenched quickly. I have some other towels my mother left me that are what I assume just plain old 100% cotton. These things you can dry dish after dish and you almost never feel moisture. I can't seem to find this material anywhere since they have been replaced by this new stuff that doesn't work nearly as well IMO.

How often do you use the same cloth? In your "how often, should I clean video", you stated that you use a new dish towel (waffle weave cloth), every 24-48 hours. What frequency, would you recommend for the other clothes? In other words ,how many uses can a cloth withstand, before being laundered?
How many of each cloth, would you suggest having?

Melissa I have brought other high gsm microfiber cloths and they suggest boiling grease or oil filled microfiber cloths in a saucepan of water dish soap or powder, then washing normally. It seems to work, but is it something you have tried with your cloths? I'm wondering if it might shorten the life of my cloths or worse, make me think that they are clean when they're not 🤔. I have read hot water helps to release the dust and dirt from the fibres but as an expert..is this true? I trust you're judgement and would love to know.. ps..love the colour range you have..it makes colour coding my cloths so much easier 😍

Microfiber cloths are great, but this is very dismaying, and I may go back to cotton (quality napkins bought at yard sales). Thanks.

What can I put in the laundry together? I clean different surfaces on different days so tend to have a variety of used cloths about. I don't want to run the laundry for one or two items, but don't want to cross-contaminate either. Any tips?

Have been watching your channel for years and own a set. But I’m afraid to use them. I’d love some care instructions with the packaging or at least a link. I bought mine when they first came out so this might have changed. It also was a time btwn when I ordered and received. So I had honestly forgotten my research on them. Thank you so much for posting the links to some of you favorite products!

No wonder why my microfiber cloths are awful after like a year. I clean up with these whether its greasy or not. If my stove is greasy, I use my loose woven dish rag to clean it, but if it isn't bad, I use my microfiber cloths. However, my microfiber cleaning rags/pads, to dry mop my floors works excellent and cant see those getting ruined anytime soon, probably would be the only time microfiber will last forever. I'm just going to go back to cotton Terry cloth or like a low shed rag like a flour sack. Plus I'm just finding out recent its kinda bad for the environment and I threw out quite a few since I have been using them. I'm just going to go back to natural cotton.

How do you know when it’s time to get new microfiber cloths? I bought yours about2 years ago and it seems like they are starting to smell now. I love how they clean but the fact that they smell is making me think I need new ones.

I wash mine in bleach water.. soak them... then wash. Don't buy the bleach with added smell.. that's deluted bleach n doesnt work. Then a little blue dawn ultra dish detergent to the load n it will really help.. repeat another day if it doesn't get all the smell out the first time

@brown bird plus they pick up every piece of lint you ever saw and you have to wash them separate from your other clothes and towels. I just don't like the feel of them either.

@@sharonlatour6230 Why would you want to wash cleaning cloths with your clothes? Regardless of the type of cleaning cloth, I don't think it's smart to wash them with your clothes.

I found them to be great for dusting! I just used the general purpose Makers Clean cloth for that the other day. I loosely shook it out in the trash can but haven't tried cleaning it yet, so I'm not sure if it needs a more thorough shakeout.
