The DIY looks like it was made for Justins room the colors in the painting fit so well. I would pobably put a mirror on the backside of the picture would be great for applying skincare on the spot.
BECKY - THE PICTURE CABINET IS PHENOMENAL~ SO GOOD!! I would love to see more things like this and your bedroom fireplace that have a "secret" purpose.
I love whenever Nick is in videos, because I really get the sense that he's like, trying real hard to make for good footage. I think his voiceover and B roll about his table is an excellent example of this. I feel like he's like "alright, shoes on the other foot. Now I'm not just editing the footage, I AM the footage. Gotta step it up."
I fricken love how hyped Rachel was when she saw it after Kelsey was like "Oh it's very simple, probably the easiest plant stand to make" just shows that you can do something simple for a friend and it can have the biggest impact
The 2x6 diy made me think of a fun challenge for a video. Becky and Kelsey each get a single 2x4 and we see what amazing thing they each can make with it! The single 2x4 face off!
As a fiber artist I was so excited seeing Becky with that dog brush!!! The process is called "carding" where you can brush fiber into roving which is then used for spinning, or you can even take already processed roving of different colors and card them to blend them together. You can also use a drum carder or even a hand carder and blending board.
We’ve realized that the the sorry girls aren’t just just two girls making awesome diys, it is a team of HUMANS. Men, women, all above. Bravo! We love you all!
I think it's funny that Becky tried combing out the yarn with the dog brush--the video they referenced is a step in the process to spin roving to make yarn, so it's like she's literally undoing the yarn making process with the same process used to make the yarn.
This video was amazing for 3 reasons. 1. Kelsey’s amazing buns (idk how you do them but they are super cute and on point!) 2. Justin had a feature (one of my fav members of TSG - low key crush 😻) 3. You ladies rocked making some amazing thing. There better be a part 2!!!
It’s great to see you and more of the team. it would be awesome to do a team takeover series. Things like Swap and diy challenges and who DIY’d it best where, team challenges and make it into a score board kinda thing
I love how your videos always feel so personal even though you do social distancing and film in your homes. Excited to watch this video. 🤍 Lots of love from Germany!
In love with the photo frame cabinet idea! I am definitely going to do that in my bathroom. Will not make from scratch though, will just buy a cabinet and paste a picture frame on it and will call it my diy. Still counts I think 😛
Becky is so fashun she first said “Met Gala” in place of the Met Museum. Hadn’t heard about that free art resource - so cool! Thanks for mentioning it.
Becky brushing out all the tassles was the best part of this video lmao, loved seeing all the projects you made for your team and getting to see a bit of who else helps run TSG empire~
Justin’s interior style is just 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 his room looks amazing and the cabinet just elevates the whole space! I had no idea there were free downloads from the met definitely going to be using those
My favorite is the 2nd Project- the hidden cabinet. I have a built in apartment medicine cabinet that has a mirror that is not in a good location on the right hand side, I kind of want to do this project with a painting to hide the unused mirror. Thanks for the inspiration !
Becky killed it! Especially the cabinet! I definitely want to try to do something like that. And don't get me wrong, Kelley's turned out great too but they were pretty simple. Not much to them.
Rachael’s mannerisms on that zoom call we’re giving me very specific Paris Hilton vibes! Not really the accent but the way of speaking. She’s projecting sweetness, confidence, very mellow at the same time and kind of seems amused at Kelsey’s antics. Please somebody else tell me they see it too. Maybe I’ve been watching too many Paris interviews lol
I think this should be a new series! Love all the creations! The only thing I was iffy on was how Becky attached the pendant piece to the new shade. The shade was gorgeous, but those wires just looked a bit questionable to me. LOL. But what do I know? It looked great hanging in Andrea's space, so I'd say it was still a success! Great job as always, ladies!
Love all the projects. Kelsey’s table and plant stand are so good. Becky’s lamp shade and cabinet were perfect. One suggestion for Justin is to paint the outside of the cabinet to match his wall. Top remains white and bottom is the same color as the lower half of the wall. Seems like it might elevate the whole look. Would love to see it if he decides to go with it.
literally this is the recognition and love that the sorry girls employees DESERVE!! all the diys turned out so well and I'm so happy to see some really unique DIY content to fit their needs! 10/10 more please!
I got really excited when Becky brushed out the tassels because it took me back to when I used to cosplay characters from Cats the Musical, and back in the day we would take yard and unravel it, then use brushes like that or actual wool brushes, to turn the yarn into little bundles of individual fibers to make the wigs!
I had doubts about Becky's lamp, but they were all dispersed once I saw it hung up in the room it was intended for. That cabinet, whoa, gorgeous! And that painting truly worked with his room. The side table is wonderfully done but for me it's a little too short, the light won't work with reading and you really have to reach to get your teacup. I definitely want a second and even a third part if possible. Kudos to the SG team! Without you guys we'd never see the Sorry Girls. Love you!
A tip for Becky! When you make tassels you can straighten them with your flat iron and it will make them look more uniform ❤️ I love the picture frame cabinet, hidden storage plus artwork is *chef's kiss* I love the side table Kelsey made for Nick too! I may have to make something similar with my dowels and wood scraps I have on my diy shelf ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad Becky went with her gut and used the string she liked better. nothing worse than using something you are iffy about and then not liking the end result! Also I had the same thing happen to me last week, where I knew i didn't have enough thread for a project and ran out! I had to go and buy out several Micheal's stores just so i could finish my project 😂
Becky absolutley killed it in this video. I would buy both the hidden picture cabinet and the lamp shade if I saw them in a shop! I liked Kelsey's plant stand too if only it was about a foot taller.
I love all of these. But I had to tell you: brushing out yarn with a dog brush is literally something doll repainters do to make doll hair XD (brushed it out until it was entirely undone, not just somewhat undone like you did)
I love this! Hot tip, you can get glass cut for the frame easy peasy. Call up any local glass shop (I called a small in town one when I did mine) and they will cut it to the measurements you want and it's so much cheaper than you think :)
Yes totally! Also mirror glass! It's actually cheap and they have different types. Just tell them to sand the edges or do it yourself if you're going to be handling it a lot to install it :)
@@nitzeart Yes!~!! When I showed up to get mine they had already sanded the edges part of the whole cut price. I was prepared with gloves and everything. Lol! But its def good to ask/note.
This was such a fun video to watch. Yes, more please. Back in the early days of HGTV, they did remodels/room refresh/projects that were doable without breaking the bank. I’ve missed those old shows where I could do it myself and knock it out in a weekend. The Sorry Girls have not only filled that void, but surpassed the level of those shows as the tools, materials, and resources have vastly improved since the mid-90s. Thank you.
Rachael read my mind or something because my bf was literally thinking about getting a plant stand so imma show him this idea to make one it’s so cute!!
Please do more of these! Sometimes it’s so easy to get stuck in our own heads and having a friend approach it brings new life and heart to a space. Also maybe a ‘finish my DIY’ edition? The UFO (unfinished object) can be so frustrating, a new set of eyes might be able to totally turn it around
Becky is such a perfectionist!!💕 Really love the way she always thinks out of the box & makes the impossible actually possible! Lots of love to you🤗 Kelsey did a good job too!
I loved all of these! For Justin’s piece, I think I personally would have added a light weight little mirror on the inside of the door and maybe small hooks for the jewelry pieces he has but of course he could add stuff too as he lives with it.
Thank you for the shoutout to our Open Access program ❤️! We really appreciate it. The picture frame cabinet looks amazing too!
So excited about the Open Access program my bedroom is about to turn into an art gallery😂❤️
@@alessia.escorcio We're happy to hear! Learn more here: www.metmuseum.org/about-the-met/policies-and-documents/open-access.
The Met itself responded omg 👁👄👁
I'd love to see a whole video with Open Access DIYs!
Loved this!!!! 💕😍😍😍
The DIY looks like it was made for Justins room the colors in the painting fit so well. I would pobably put a mirror on the backside of the picture would be great for applying skincare on the spot.
The mirror is such a good idea! I was thinking the back of the frame was a bit bland
Do more DIY
I was thinking of small hooks on the back of the frame to hang jewelry like the inspo pic.
@@manali8290 same, I'm gonna make this except make the whole thing for jewelry, since I don't wear makeup
Justin should match the blue stripe on the wall and the cabinet sides. It would blend seamlessly! LOVED this diy one of the best! 👏🏻
BECKY - THE PICTURE CABINET IS PHENOMENAL~ SO GOOD!!

Justin did get a front porch makeover last summer! :)
No im pretty sure that was the other editor
@@MissIndipendant98 You're right. It was Nick! My mistake. :)
Yeees I thought the same thing 😄
for real tho i didnt recognise him lol
These were all some of the BEST things you guys have ever made on this channel.
I agree! I loooved the cabinet the most, but they were all amazing.
Agreed!
Definitely love this video
Agree!
Agreed! All of them were 10/10
I laughed so hard when Becky said 'met gala' instead of met museum 😂
It took me a beat to unterstand! i was like... fashion photos? i guess that's cool?!
hahaha yes I was so confused!
Fun fact, the painter Hubert Robert she chose was the first director of the Louvre Museum in Paris ✨
I didnt even notice haha
I mean let’s be honest, as much as I love art, the gala is really the icing thing.
The 2x6 diy made me think of a fun challenge for a video. Becky and Kelsey each get a single 2x4 and we see what amazing thing they each can make with it!
The single 2x4 face off!
Fun spin off keeping the 2x4 Face Off is they get 2 of one random supply and 4 of another supply and we see what they make!
Rachel cursing when she's pleased is exactly my vibe; Please much more of her!
She’s adorable
That cabinet may be my favorite thing ever from The Sorry Girls!
Same it was so pretty snd functional 💖💖💖
@@zspov936 and that tip about the Met and their open-source artwork was amazing and so very useful.

I love how Everyone apart of this team has supreme style in there own way! Like each one could be photographed for Pinterest. 😂
Kelsey went full Canadian when Nick asked how she was doing and she responded with “oh yew knoh” 🇨🇦
I thought the exact same thing. I can only tell when she says "sorry". Also I though that said "went full cardigan" and I was very confused.
Justin could stick a simple mirror on the back side of the artwork in the cabinet to make it even more useful ^^
And paint the sides black half way to blend into the wall color, making it almost disapear!
The light was sooo good doesn’t look like a diy at all, I love how above and beyond Becky goes for her diys
I love everyone who works for the sorry girls! I hope there’s a part 2! 💕

I was thinking the same thing.
It's called carding. And i thought the same!
Yep. I have carders and use them to align fiber before spinning.
You’re blowing my mind rn
Yeah you can do that brushing technique in macrame with cotton yarn to make those cool feather/leaf designs lol

OKAY, WAIT. That frame cabinet gave me SUCH an idea. Making a painting into a secret door with a magnet latch.
my mom has this in her bedroom. like a built-in into the wall with the frame on the wall as a door. she loves it!
That light was so amazing. Becky. An icon. Please do this again!
