Felt or plastic pads under the bench legs will help avoid scratches on the floor. I think if you repaint the kitchen countertop trim, you can poli over it for a more durable finish (although it sounds like you're going to rip those out, so problem solved). Your diy drawer dividers inspired me to do the same. I too love mine. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks for all your content!
Yes...solution to bench is pads on feet was thinking about the same solution as they all look great 👍 👌 just wood scraping on painted tile will scratch it up over time, anytime you sit there...could make that another shoe storage area, in the bedroom rather than everything in the closet 😮
Yes and you can also probably put some tiny clear bumpers on the back of your mirror to stop the wall bumping. Like those small stick-on ones in every hardware store.
Thank you so much! No one ever revisits their DIY's and I always want to know how they hold up. The wall in the bedroom beside the mirror is the perfect place for you to put in some pretty storage for all that stuff beside the wardrobe. You're welcome! 🤣
Regarding your kitchen sink faucet, you can rotate the lever to the front so wet hands will drip into the sink when you turn it on and off. That’s what I did and I love it! Love your channel!
It’s a good idea, I did that but because the plumber put it on the right side and I am left handed, so it was too awkward However not sure it will clear the lip of the sink in her situation, but if it would, she should
Love this! And even tho Danie is 100% capable, if schedule doesn't allow, a cute ceramic tray that can hold a regularly cleaned towel or sponge would work in the meantime :)
My favourite content is when you mix it up - having all the stuff that you mentioned, plus showing the road trips to get your amazing finds, and when you bring friends into the mix too ❤ Have a wonderful Christmas and see you in 2025!
Merry Christmas! Loved revisiting all the DIY's. About the faux beam - I live in a log house and all of the logs/beams get cracks over time so it just makes it look even more real. Wishing you all the best for 2025!
I love your vanity wallpaper and dark blue vanity. It's gorgeous ! Being tucked away it doesn't have to be earthy greens. A nice surprise and pop of color.
Thanks for revisiting you DIY projects! It’s fun to see how things have held up and your thoughts on each project. What would have been great is links to the original DIY videos if anyone wanted to revisit the original video.
In the bedroom where the bench is on your side of the bed? You could make built in shoe storage that mimics the wardrobe design with a surface to display some cute pictures or books or whatever ❤
Dani! You should replace your kitchen faucet with a touch on/off spout! Then you won’t be touching the adjustment bar as often…therefore you’ll have less water dripping onto the butcher block countertop. The hardest thing will be the one week adjustment getting used to touching it to turn it on. Annnd then when you go to parents houses and you try to tap on the faucet…but it’s so much better in all the ways plus less water damage.
Would you be interested in a "fixing all the little things I don't love about the DIYs I kept" video? Something to encourage you to swap out those light fixtures you don't love, and show us how you go about updating your kitchen sink area since there are several ways you could go about it, and maybe picking a new paint+wallpaper combo for your vanity area to freshen it up :D I wonder if you can sand down the piece of the dresser that you said made it hard to put clothes into the top drawer, or if the scalloping would still be in the way even if its backing piece was thinner. And would some sort of sealant make the kenobi lamp easier to clean?
Cool to revisit and get honest updates on the DIYs. I'm amazed at how well your entryway floor looks, not perfect, but for a painted entry in an area that deals with real wintertime, it's pretty impressive. Your kitchen cabinets as well, still look gorgeous. Happy Holidays! Look forward to another year of your fun and inspiring DIY's. :) :)
Dani. Just sand the top of the drawer in the dog feeder, repaint the drawer. Can you just refinish that beautiful island countertop? It’s soooo gorgeous. The faux beam, absolute perfection. It fits you home so well and provides just the right separation from the living/game room. I have actually made a bowl light using a large silver platter to replace a (ugh) fluorescent light in my closet. Love most everything you do. Miss you posting weekly. Just not a Saturday morning without you.
I was just going to say this. Looks to me like a paint touch up pen would be helpful in the kitchen junk drawer. That way they could just grab, fix a scratch or nick, and throw it back into the drawer.
Loved the video. For kitchen faucet, my brothere has the type you touch to turn on and off. Might be a good solution for you. Might be a little pricey, but would save the counter. The downside is that you will end up hitting everyone's faucet trying to turn it on!
Hey I'll have just one big feed back : most of you DIY got high notes, endure well time and use, I think it's a big win and you can celebrate ! Only those that do nothing don't make mistake, and even when the notes are lower, it's not mistakes, it's experience, learning, growing steps ! You can be so proud of you ! See how productive you are and complex projects you tackle ! Bravo ! 💪👏
For your kitchen faucet, you might wanna look into diatomite. It's a stone like material that is SUPER absorbant and you could just slide it around the base as a little tray for your soap bottles and it would double as protection for the area at the back of your sink
I’d love this to be kind of a standard EOY video for you. It’s great to have an honest “over time” review, both of things you’ve done that year as well as previous projects. Edited to add: also fun to see how your needs and style changes over time and how you adapt to it.
I love your channel so much. You are so much fun and you inspire me to try DIY's in my own home. I'm 74 and live alone, and totally love getting things done myself. Who said us women can't do it?!
Merry Christmas Danie! I love all of your DIY’s. It was great going back over them. I think they all still look amazing. I’m looking forward to your organization of your craft space/office. You encouraged me through all of your DIY journey. You’re brave with your ideas. I’ve taken the plunge this year into taking a drawing class. I’ve always wanted to learn more about drawing, so I am taking a 10 week class starting two days before my 63rd birthday. Thank you for always encouraging us to live our authentic life and to at least try. I look forward to 2025 and what I’ve yet to learn! Happy new year everyone! Donna
"I am over blue" said Danny sitting on the blue couch :)) That vanity makeover is one of my favorite makeovers ever. You and your diys are very inspiring! I have recreated a lot of your diys, a lot of them are on the waiting list :) You are amazing!
Note love the paper and the blue it's gorgeous so changing it saddens my heart 😢 Honestly Love all your changes would repair the things that got worn down but keep them as they are 😮❤❤❤❤❤
This is my the first video of yours that I've encountered so I obviously will go back and watch all the DIYs. I love this! Revisiting DIYs is so helpful!
Just love the follow up!!!! You inspire me with each and every project. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Danie! Looking forward to your 2025 projects 💕
Vanity area... love the wallpaper and blue! May I recommend painting the walls a light pink to match the flower in the wallpaper and pull it all together... and then on the mirror. Add a clear nail polish to prevent the finish from rubbing off on the wall.
One day I will make those bedroom cabinets as a wall pantry in my tiny kitchen. I love opening long doors and seeing all the things at once instead of opening several small cabinet doors. And they’re the prettiest of all doors 🥰
9:03 I was able to adjust my handle and bring it in front of the faucet, underneath the head of the faucet… It looked weird at first but now I’m obsessed with it… hot is to the right. I’m used to it now. ❤
Mine is like this too. The only problem is that when I'm washing a large thing, it turns off the water or changes the temperature. That is annoying. LOL
Awesome channel. We had the same problem with our sink until we found a diatomaceous sink mat. It absorbs all water, looks like expensive stone but it's not. No more mildew either. If you have the space for it, it's a game changer for the kitchen sink.
The very first video of yours that I ever watched was the painted stone mural on the stair landing! Merry Christmas and thanks for making my Saturday mornings more entertaining!
And a happy boop to you this fine morning. I’m over here with my hot cold combo, which thrilled me when you said that. I didn’t know anybody else who did that. Mine is coffee and sparkling water. I wanted to suggest that all you need to cover up what used to be pretty but it is now not so pretty on that shelf next to your closet, is another door. It would just fit in perfectly. I imagine it might be a slightly different width, but I think that would look better than seeing your shoeboxes. Sadly, we have to put our stuff somewhere. Sometimes it just turns out not to be that good looking lol.
I had the same thought. Since it seems like it won’t work because of the attic hatch, might it be possible to do a partial door, like a Dutch door without the top part? Then some wicker or nice fabric baskets/bins might help to corral the other miscellany that still shows? Not sure if that addresses the problem, though, since I haven’t seen the original video.
Looks great! I think using wicker in that space next to the pax to hold your stuff mixed in with a diy fabric box or basket might help you have the storage and look you’re going for! ❤🎉
Well, that was fun!! Thanks for taking us through your amazing DIYs, Danie. You've accomplished so much in the last few years Danie, and I hope you're proud of yourself. I know we certainly are! 💕Merry Christmas to you and yours and blessing for a happy and productive 2025! Can't wait to see what you do next. 🥳
Everything you listed for 2025 sounds great! I love the nerdy stuff , a fantasy book room!? Hell yes!!! I am super excited for your shop build out as well. I love tools and any kind of shop build/makeover is so fun! I’ve learned a ton from watching you so thank you! Have a Happy Christmas and I can’t wait to see what you get into for 2025. ❤❤❤
Danie, it’s because of you that we are here. I love everything that you do. I do mostly love your diy’s and making thrift finds your own. Also, love it when you do projects for your friends. ❤
Your DIYs are incredible and watching your videos have really given me confidence to try DIYs and explore my own style in my home which I can’t thank you enough, but real talk, the amount of mental real-estate your rock art that has taken up in my brain is insane! If it was in a museum I would honestly want to sit on a bench and just take it in. I can’t explain why the colors and texture speak to me it’s crazy. Round of applause for all of your projects but extra respect for the rock art. Keep doing you because you rock! 🤘
Pax Wardrobes have been my salvation in a number of apartments. They hold up beautifully and can be used for storage, not only in the bedroom, but in the kitchen and bathroom as well. Thanks for all you do and I hope you guys have an absolutely wonderful holiday and a beautiful new year!
I forgot about the shower door. I loved that solution so much, as I'd been wanting an industrial shower so badly when I was refinishing my guest bath. Glad to see it's holding up so well!
My fave DIYs are the pax wardrobe hack and the floral vanity dresser. I love how the top of the pax is still functional and accessible. My dream closet doors! I love the vintage dresser too! The blue drawers compliment the floral wallpaper, warm wood tone, and the brass accents. My vibe! Oh and how can I forget the secret closet behind the book shelf in your guest bedroom 😍😍
As a solution for the shower screen, a rubber draught excluder might do the job. It's designed to fit on the bottom of front or back doors. They're often made with bristles, but I've also seen them made of rubber. (They look like an extra long squeegee.)
Looking forward to another year of seeing your talent and enjoying your quirky humour. You are definitely in my top 5 YT channels that I never miss a week of. My favourite DIY of yours was when you put the mural on the wardrobe in the spare room. It turned out beautifully. As for what I'd like to see more of, I really love when you paint and do art, so that would be fun. Also I loved the Christmas thrift flip exchange you did with Tina. More of those would be fun. Hope you and your family have a magical Christmas.
I would love to have any kind of entrance to my house. It's so small you step directly into my kitchen; take a few more steps and you're in my living room/dining room/bedroom. Maybe one day I'll have a proper entrance. 😆
I appreciate your honesty about your renovations and what worked & what didn't. The farmhouse sink issue seems to be common, with a wood countertop it would be all the more problematic. Regardless, you continue to inspire us! Here is to a creative 2025😊
This was so fun!!! I love seeing how the projects actually held up and how you felt about them. Also reminds me just how long I’ve been watching 😁 You are a sweet person and a very talented artist/craftsperson. It’s been lovely to be allowed to be a viewer of your life and work. Thank you!🥰🧡🖤🧡
Can't wait to see what projects you've got up your sleeve next year! I love your art and gardening projects....and your love it or thrift it episodes. Woop woop!
Thank you Dani, you are one of a few content creators on TH-cam who helped me through a long difficult phase of my life. Thank you for bringing joy and beauty in my life and also for being honest about your own life. God bless!
Thank you for sharing these updates with us Danie! I always watch beautiful reveals, but wonder how they hold up in the long run. Your honesty in sharing the little faults and things you'd do next time are helpful and insightful. 🥰
26:00 For those diy lamps, you should do the same thing with the stairwell lamp. Get a bamboo bowl of similar size and have a cohesive lighting set up.
With your butcher block, look at polymerized teak oil. It's expensive but amazing, food safe, and only needs recoating every 3-5 years. Regular teak oil is cheaper and takes 6 months to cure. Polymerized tung oil takes about 24 hrs and you can do several coats in a week. Good luck!
I can’t wait to see nerdy videos! Mainly because my office is Disney but I’m trying to do a modern farmhouse transitional style with a nod of Disney without it looking childish 😬
As far as the kitchen faucet, switch it out with one that turns on automatically when you wave your hand under it. That will save from splashing water. Your pup is such a sweetheart! 🥰 As always, I love your videos!
Very nice recap of former projects. I watched each of these as they were presented, it was nice to have an honest update. I'm really impressed about the Rub n' Buff and the shower tiles and how well each product preformed. You have great content and always ready to see what the video will be. Look forward to the upcoming year and all your future projects. Nicely done!
I love that rock DIY!!! Also, you can probably get a new door or maybe move the door handle somehow? Something to look into! And I've never seen such a cool bathroom shower DIY! Gives me ideas of my own haha
Loved all your videos. Next year I want you to have loads of fun creating new things because your creative ideas and side jokes makes my day. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.❤
Fuzzy furniture pads under the legs of the hall bench would help with the scratch problem. If you had clean cuts on the wood around the sink, clear caulk would have looked nicer. Impressed at how well the shower door held up!
I love how youre house is a home and you live in it. The tears and wears means you use it alot. Great to see how everything holds up 😊 happy holidays 🎄🌲
The concept of this video is excellent! It seems unique, but what do I know: I'm a 60 year old white southern lady. You can apply hardware-store Johnson's Paste Wax to your shower door as well as the glass. There is a learning curve to using this old-fashioned product. In this case it would serve as a water repellent, not as a shiny finish or topcoat. I applied it to my shower door years ago. It prevents water spots and corrosion. If any cleaning agent gets on it, it looses some of its advantages, so just wipe clean with warm water or warm soapy water and rinse.
The rock art is still a fave for me! I really loved the wardrobe too. So glad it held up for you and still looks stunning. So many projects that I have replicated too. Love your channel!!
The brick and the front entry as a whole looks so good. I was crazy impressed when I first saw the video and it is awesome to know it has held up! Cannot believe you did that yourself!
Love all your DIYs and when you see them all together it's truly amazing. Thanks for the generous tour! So much ambition went into that brick stoop. Maybe some peel and stick felt would help the entry stool not to scratch the floor? The cabinet project was impressive. Behind your kitchen sink, what about waxing the counter top? And how about a ceramic or vinyl trim piece to replace the edge where the paint gets worn? Would the brass accents on the Kenobi's feed station benefit from Varathane or spray paint? Love everything about the hall, especially the rock art. For the open shelf at the end of the Pax in your room, if it's no longer serving for display, how about a curtain in front of it hanging from a tension rod? I used an inexpensive shower curtain in a similar spot in my home. For the corner in your room that you are not sure about, depending on what you want to use the space for, I might go for a cozy chair that could serve as both a drop spot for clothing, but also a soft texture /colour accent. I am picturing maybe a small curved tub-chair, possibly with caning, maybe a velvet upholstery (like your throw pillow) with a creamy textured throw ;) Do you think the hanging lights could have been given a spray finish to make cleaning easier, or was there just too much texture? If you don't love the blue vanity colour, but you maybe still like the wall paper, could you repaint with a deep red or green from the paper? And a couple of silicone bumper stick-on bits could save the paint scuff. The bathroom is one of my favourites. Love the wainscotting and wondering how easy it is to clean? And the storage cabinet is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing the workshop come together, the new kitchen countertops, the office makeover, and all things organizational. Love to see you do art as well. In 2025 I'd also love to see you hit 500K subs 💜
I absolutely loved one of the nerdy cabinet makeovers you did that was so stylish and elegant, not so screaming plasticy nerdy stuff like you often see
Felt or plastic pads under the bench legs will help avoid scratches on the floor.
I use rubber furniture coasters due to neurodivergent son 😊.
Isn't felt under furniture legs like common sense? You can't buy furniture in Europe without them.
Or put some socks on the legs. Lol can swap them out seasonally. Little whimsy!
Haha I was thinking cute shoe storage, too 😂
Some projects can not properly be judged by how long they hold up. Some must be measured by how much joy they brought you.
Regarding your kitchen sink faucet, you can rotate the lever to the front so wet hands will drip into the sink when you turn it on and off. That’s what I did and I love it! Love your channel!
It’s a good idea, I did that but because the plumber put it on the right side and I am left handed, so it was too awkward
However not sure it will clear the lip of the sink in her situation, but if it would, she should
Love this! And even tho Danie is 100% capable, if schedule doesn't allow, a cute ceramic tray that can hold a regularly cleaned towel or sponge would work in the meantime :)
Danie, should invent something and sell it.
Love your stairway. The rug runner is gorgeous. The rock art, light art, wall. Love it all.
That vanity combined with the wallpaper is the most beautiful, to my eye. The wallpaper makes it! Don’t change it!
Wishing you, Jeff, and Kenobi a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful year ahead! 🎄😊
Kenobi is such a beautiful boy 🥰
My favourite content is when you mix it up - having all the stuff that you mentioned, plus showing the road trips to get your amazing finds, and when you bring friends into the mix too ❤

Merry Christmas! Loved revisiting all the DIY's. About the faux beam - I live in a log house and all of the logs/beams get cracks over time so it just makes it look even more real. Wishing you all the best for 2025!

Came to say this! That way you don't have to change the counter at all
Merry Christmas, Danie! Finding you was one of the best parts of my 2024! 🎄 Can't wait to see what you share in 2025! 💕
Oh my goodness! ❤️ a gift for me as well! Xx
Agree!!🎉
Would you be interested in a "fixing all the little things I don't love about the DIYs I kept" video? Something to encourage you to swap out those light fixtures you don't love, and show us how you go about updating your kitchen sink area since there are several ways you could go about it, and maybe picking a new paint+wallpaper combo for your vanity area to freshen it up :D
I wonder if you can sand down the piece of the dresser that you said made it hard to put clothes into the top drawer, or if the scalloping would still be in the way even if its backing piece was thinner. And would some sort of sealant make the kenobi lamp easier to clean?
My favorite DIY is a tie between the front stoop and the ikea wardrobe. They are both very professional looking!
Cool to revisit and get honest updates on the DIYs. I'm amazed at how well your entryway floor looks, not perfect, but for a painted entry in an area that deals with real wintertime, it's pretty impressive. There are also sensor taps if you want to get extra bougie!
I just ordered a touch faucet earlier today on Amazon on sale!

That’s what I was going to say! Only I couldn’t remember what the stone was called lol
@TeacherRuthCoelho yeah me too, I had to Google something like "most porous stone" 😂
I’d love this to be kind of a standard EOY video for you. It’s great to have an honest “over time” review, both of things you’ve done that year as well as previous projects.
Edited to add: also fun to see how your needs and style changes over time and how you adapt to it.
I loved the garden shed transformation! It's probably my favorite. But I love ALL your projects! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I love the rock art! And the blue vanity with that wallpaper - magnificent 😘💖
I love your channel so much. You are so much fun and you inspire me to try DIY's in my own home. I'm 74 and live alone, and totally love getting things done myself. Who said us women can't do it?!

Best this year was the greenhouse garden makeover.
Good morning, lovely Danie!! Hope you have a brilliant 2025!❤
See you in 2025! ❤️

Yes, ditto Exactly 💯 % 👍agree 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
The attic hatch prevented adding another door in that spot.
@@jhutch1681 Ahh, I thought I remembered there being an issue but couldn't put my finger on what it was, good memory!

I can’t believe it’s been four years since you’ve done that bathroom! Everything looks great. Have a great holiday.
I appreciate all your content but if I had to choose only one I would say the Greenhouse. What a magical DIY!
Love your transparency. Love this vid.
Merry Christmas.
A marble top on the Samantha drawer would look great I think

Pax Wardrobes have been my salvation in a number of apartments. They hold up beautifully and can be used for storage, not only in the bedroom, but in the kitchen and bathroom as well. Thanks for all you do and I hope you guys have an absolutely wonderful holiday and a beautiful new year!
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
All your projects are AMAZING!!!
Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!!!
🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! ❤️
Your house is SO beautiful!! Great work on all your projects... really inspiring! Thanks for sharing this with us, and for the updates!
Oh my, the warderobe doors are absolutely gorgeous 😍😍😍
Put felt pads on bottom of furniture to not scratch floor. Dollar Tree!
Such a fun video to look back on all your house projects!! Everything is still so beautiful!!
Thank you!🥰🧡🖤🧡
Thanks for brightening every Saturday morning for me, Dani! You're an inspiration.

I'm very easy to please, I love everything you do! Looking forward all the new projects in 2025❤
My favourite time of the week is watching you. Merry Christmas. Joy are a great joy. Thank you.

For those diy lamps, you should do the same thing with the stairwell lamp.
I would love to see some more of your gardening videos, especially with your mum she is awesome! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Happy holidays to you and your family!!
I won't lie, your headboard reminds me of a pillory without the head hole 🤣
😂
Wardrobe is great. It has an Art Deco vibe. Well done.
Merry Christmas Danie, Jeff, & Kenobie....So glad i found you in 2024!....Can't wait, to go on many more diy journeys with you, in 2025!👍🎄🎀🦌🎁☃️
As far as the kitchen faucet, switch it out with one that turns on automatically when you wave your hand under it. That will save from splashing water.
Your pup is such a sweetheart! 🥰
As always, I love your videos!
The crack in the “beam” definitely adds character and a natural look.
Your projects have ALL been amazing. I was most excited about your studio. I have needed organization and space for my creative projects. Love yours.
I enjoyed watching all your projects & they’re all great! I think my fave is the rug on your stairs. 🎉
Merry Christmas Danie love all your past projects and I can't wait to see your new projects for 2025❤❤❤❤
This is great! Thanks for the updates! One finish you can consider for around your sink is Waterlox. Waterproofs the wood completely
I love that rock DIY!!! Also, you can probably get a new door or maybe move the door handle somehow? Something to look into!
And I've never seen such a cool bathroom shower DIY! Gives me ideas of my own haha
Thank you for all the education!! You are my favorite friendly neighborhood DIYer!!!! You definitely did excellent!
Gee whiz: I remember all of these! I give them all a 10/10 for enjoyment and inspiration. Happy Holidays Danie!
I loved seeing your hairstyles change. I think my favorite was probably the runner up the stairs. That makes it so cozy. Merry Christmas.
Have a Lovely Christmas Danie! Been watching you for years now..still love your nerdy jokes 😃
Love the revisit and seeing how they’ve worn and and not. So helpful. A skylight in your kitchen would really lighten the area
Beautiful year of DYI's !! I would give everything 10/10 !! hahahaha Looking foward to the next projects! 😍
The brick and the front entry as a whole looks so good. I was crazy impressed when I first saw the video and it is awesome to know it has held up! Cannot believe you did that yourself!
It sounds like you are getting your creativity back. Love what you do.
I am picturing maybe a small curved tub-chair, possibly with caning, maybe a velvet upholstery (like your throw pillow) with a creamy textured throw ;)
Do you think the hanging lights could have been given a spray finish to make cleaning easier, or was there just too much texture?
