This week we are trying a fun new game called DIY Roulette (celebrity edition)!! By selecting a celeb and an interior design item, I have to go to the thrift store and upcycle an item that will fit into their houses. To do my research, I watched their home tours on Architectural Digest's TH-cam Channel and omg, obsessed!!!

I loved those glasses, but instead of painting the tray I was hoping you were going to light it underneath the glasses and let them glow like neon lights. It's not too late. Router a pocket underneath for a battery pack , carve some groves for the wires, and drill small holes for lights, then cover everything underneath except the battery pack with adhesive felt or cork.
Now THAT is a cool idea! I was thinking of doing something else with the tray like Kendall's bathroom sink's texture (not on the holes tho) and the glasses could look like a geode or something inside. Or a mix of both of these ideas, a shining rock tray.
Pretty positive they already know how to do all of that lol

Hot tip: Use a hair dryer on the hot setting to melt down the glue from the thrift store sticker for easy and clean removal! Love this video idea and how all the projects turned out

Or wet it with 💦 water before taking it off or they covered up the boo-boo... 😱✔️💯Because why would anyone stick it on Leather unless it was to cover it !! But it was good in the End 🥰

I would literally watch an episode of design roulette/dartboard every week! this was so much fun!
Loved the idea, the drink set was great, but I might have liked the board to be made to look like stone or a nice stain to bring in the natural theme she does (and make the glassware really pop) and inlaid the spot for the bottle just like you did for the glasses.
it would be cool to have a recess for the bottle, but I don't know how you'd DIY it.
@@HT-dy5co I remember having to do it once back in school (hundreds of years ago, lol) ... you use the same tool for the cup holes, and make your 4 corners then take a small wood chisel and carve out the middle and clean up the edges for the rectangle.. it's a pain, not sure if there's an easier way but that's how I remember
@@michellesotelo-mercer7797 or with two layers of wood, one whole and one with the holes, sandwiched together, instead of punching the holes halfway out of one
This is a great way to try out different aesthetics, especially extra strange and elaborate decor items like celebrities usually have 😅

As a seamstress I would recommend doing the diminishing squares pillow a little differently. I would start with the smallest pink square. Then make strips for the bigger "squares" like you would in quilting. ie cut a strip for one side , sew it on, then do a strip for the other side. It would make more seams, but It would make the corners in the middle of the pillow look nicer. I loved the pillows but those corners just distracted my eye.
So exciting to watch your guy's explosive growth in the last few years. Well deserved; you guys work so hard!

Would have loved if (instead of paint) you did a high gloss clear varnish on the tequila set wood board- it would have combined her style of natural and neon perfectly!

I think the drink tray and pillows were PERFECT for Kendall Jenner and Hilary duff I’m not too sure if I can pass judgment on the chair for Lenny Kravitz though it’s been a very long time since I’ve watched his house tour that drink tray is soooo cool I 100% would buy that if I saw it in a store

I love the chair! I think if you took a little dark red shoe polish to it, it might help that spot you had to patch blend in, even though it was barely noticeable. Also, that pour on the tequila set looks like some kind of really pretty pink travertine that I wish existed.

You nailed it, Becky! I really think you captured their individual styles.
I did like how the tray turned out in the end, but honeslty I thought that you could also have painted the tray a solid subtel pastel colour (or even white?) and then added a circular peice of wood to the middle of the underside of the tray (to elevate the whole thing while still being stable) and added a strip of LED lights underneath it around the edge of the tray! They could display neon colours and it would give off that chic "recessed soft glow vibe" and maybe make the tray more of a statement and tie into that neon theme! Love to the whole TSG team from Vancouver, BC! ❤🇨🇦
the tequila board and glasses were SO cool. I would have left the wood natural tho (or stained), then it brings both the neon and natural elements of her style and home together. I need those glasses however

A Really Fun Game , do it again next week !!!... "Well Done Becky"!! Only; I'd Made the Chair a little closer to the Ground (by cutting the legs a inch off) or so ; but they all look so GOOD & they do have a special paint to repair Leather which the chair was very Nicely Done !! Also some tassels on the Hillary's Pillows, would've been Great too, especially for her Daughters Room... The shot glass set was rocking but next time paint it and poly it before cutting out it's shape and shot glass spots, would've been Easier for You trying to paint pour... Then do touch ups before you poly it... But Loved , LOVED All Your Choices and Designs... 🎵 Note... Thought those pillows would've been if for the Duff Larger but Great size for her Daughters bed... Overall a Successfully entertaining session... Whose next Kelsey to play !!! Did I Understand the Staff got to keep their picks if they got it right... Maybe the actual celebrity might like them for themselves cause their all quite Cute 🥰❤️❤️
