The yellow wire was for the original points ignition setup. My 68 firebird was the same way. Something about the points only needed a full 12 volts while being started and the other wire that fed the points with the key on the on position only gave it 9.3 volts.
You sir have earned a subscriber. Clean job. If I would have done anything differently, maybe wrap the fuel pump wires in the black wire loom to blend in with the frame. Great job! 👏

Holy cow. I can't believe I found your video. I just bought a 1967 Camaro and I want to do the exact same build on it. I'm thinking of going full resto-mod (more emphasis on the "mod") with the LS swap and a new 10 speed automatic. I want a custom interior update with all the modern comforts.....electric and heated seats, computer and flat screen GMC system, back up sensors and camera, new awesome sterio system. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your video updates on this one. I just subbed to you channel.

Nice job!!! What intake manifold is that? I thought only an LS1 intake would fit under the hood. Do you know if a 67 and 69 would have the same clearance issues under the hood?

I’m about to swap my ‘90 and I’ve heard how easy they are to swap, but i know there’s gonna be those “ have to have” parts in order to make it possible. You’ve done a really good job getting in depth with the OBS. Really looking forward to the future OBS videos and have enjoyed them so far! Seeing stuff like this Camaro is pretty awesome too!
Wasn’t sure how else to contact you, so sorry for the long message. I’m looking to get my first project car. I’m 19 years old. And i’ve been looking at a 1977 camaro. But I want to eventually LS swap it, to make it just a reliable daily. I have a general knowledge for working on cars. I love working on them and learning new things. But when it comes to LS swapping, i have no clue. I was just wondering if you could point me in the right direction. What is a solid, relatively affordable, and all around reliable LS that is not super crazy and good for just a beginner ? And if you could, what kind of manual trans would be good for it and the car ?

How did you raise the engine so the oil pan isnt on the crossmember? i am having same issue right now. Is there a simple solution?

I did a ls swap on my old 56 chevy truck. I had a friend disable vats but everytime i would start it, it would run like shit and die everytime. Have no idea what it was from
It's needs a tune not just the vats taken off
You might as well start putting some money aside and start saving up for a terminator x…….trust me….them factory ecu’s suck balls…..nice job on the swap though…it wont be long until you put that terminator x on along with a couple PSI of boost……it usually snowballs that way!!!…..ask me how i know
