When trimming the frame externally I would of used 28mm single edge architrave and always mitre the joints...never butt them up square ....

Great instal 👌🏼 and nice doors, but a pain in the arse for locksmiths and post men with the letterbox so low down 😂. I’m a lock smith and have a right job using a letterbox tool to gain access for people who close the door behind them and realise they’ve left their keys indoors 😖.

Hi mate, just a quick one, the nylon frame fixings you use. Do you cut the counter sunk tip off the plastic plug to ensure it sits further into the frame and isn't seen once screwed in?

Hey mate, do you run a bead of silicone on the cill before you fit the frame down to it ?
I’m in Scotland and whenever we get a upvc door to fit we screw the cill to the frame first and any composite doors I’ve fitted have had a low threshold piece in place.

Yeh mate always run silicone at the sides and also all the way along, I Dont always screw fill to the door otherwise you can't move the door left or right to get the internal Gaps right

Use wind bags to hold the door where you want it before fixing then check shut line. Never move a door by its handle. Don't move composite doors alone mate you'll mess your back up I've been a fitter 30 years

Don’t need a knock on on comp doors most of the time. Better hinge clearance than on UPVC doors.
