Ya should start a program on saving these houses 🏘 from demolition. Although some of them aren't very old, it's still sad 😞 to see these houses torn down. Your friend, Jeff.
I absolutely love Art Deco! My style is Southwestern/Aztec design and it fits in perfectly. This one though, has to be one of my all time favorites! I really hope they save those windows and doors. If I didn’t live in America I’d be over there looking for someone to sell me those. 😢Thanks for showing us. ❤
I love both these beautiful homes, but i especially love the first one. I loved the beautiful stained glass windows in the first one.I loved the big walk-in pantry. The kitchen was bigger and better in the first house and i loved all the beautiful fireplaces in both houses. It is really sad that the families had to move for a tunnel to be put in. Keep up the good work i am loving the video's. ❤
Once again Paul another good one I've said it time and time again these developer's r wrecking our art Deco and more taking part of our history from us I'm grateful that u document these beautiful old homes❤❤
What a beautiful house! What makes me angry is when it has been destroyed for another purpose as in the front room. It's such a shame that this house is going to be torn down when it could be restored for future generations. Thanks for the tour Paul. Glad you got to explore this before it's gone.
Agree with other commenters, glass in the windows is lovely! I also love the old kitchen cabinets, so fitting for this old Grand Dam. Reminds me of being a child at my great grandma’s house. I’m a sucker for old homes and have a small 1932 brick Tudor house. I’m so amazed to see each lovely old home you find and document! Cheers to all you’re hard work.
She was a beautiful home in her time.I loved the stained glass over the windows and front door.Thank you for another great video.I can't wait for the next one ❤
This is a very nice vacant house from the 40's both outside and inside in a nice suburb area but to bad it will be torn down soon by developers but glad that you got a chance to explore and film it before it is demolished it really was a great place to live with a nice property, it has a lot of rooms in it and was a nice looking house for many years as always this is another awesome find in an abandoned house and until next time have a great week and thank you for another great video.🏘🇦🇺👍
Some of the Art deco features remind me of grandparents home (long ago). Very cozy, comfortable style back then to go and stay - even the flooring used then was lovely (would possibly opt for that flooring style today - looks as if was quite attractive & impressive!). Same backyard/garden potential (vibe) brings back some pleasant memories!!
Hi Paul Very nice house. A little different from the usual ones you do. You teased us when you had the camera looking in the mirror. I would have liked to see what you look like. You’re a tease. The squatters really made a mess in that house. I always hate to see these beautiful old homes used as a grow house. It makes me feel sick and also sad. They probably moved out after they grew what they needed. I liked the kitchen very much. It’s big and has lots of storage cabinets. The outside of the house was beautiful with all the curves and those cool looking pillars. This explore was very cool Paul. Thank you for showing us around today. Stay safe and well.👍🆒❤️
Hello Paul I really like this one the front entrance way is one of the areas I really like it's really a shame that this house is going to go down love from upstate New York❤😊
G'day, such a shame, that that wonderful house has been left for it's destruction in the name of progress, I'm so glad that l live in a small Country town that hasn't the pressure for land for high density housing, thanks for the video, cheers mate.
Beautiful curves, lead glass, windows and doors,. Really nice kitchen space. Gorgeous wood floors. Sad to see the body of the glass door in the floor. Beautiful bedroom storage closet and drawers, love the trim on the doors. Another beautiful home bites the dirt. So sad to see, but probably sadder for you to see it. From your loyal fan now in E Texas, USA.
The room with the mattress was a dining room I bet. And the room next to that might have been a study? The first bedroom witH all the cabinets and drawers might have been the master.....you think? This was a good one!!!
She was such a beautiful loved home at some point. How its so disrespected in this way is beyond me😢 The room in the left of the front enterance may have been the formal dining room maybe. As the sliding doors would have been glass as you said the ones found in the shed ( not much privacy for a bedroom, originally). The mainbedroom might have been the room with the pretty queen Anne style built in wardrobe maybe, just a guess.
I imagine they did use that room with the mattress as a bedroom. That's why they took the art deco doors off...cause you could see through them!! I love a good puzzle!
Urbex Indigo thanks for sharing this video with me i really enjoy it and i can't wait to see your next video i am from the U.S.A and i will always show your channel support and God Bless.
Paul,I think in the kitchen where you talked about the terrazzo block, that was the old sink against the back wall of the house before the veranda extension was built..recon a 50's upgrade was done with sash windows and stainless sink on the side wall.
That house has Adelaide written all over it. The architecture in Adelaide is quite unique. Born in Adelaide but lived in Melbourne many years. You would not find a house like this in Melbourne. Their take on art deco is quite different. Love Melbourne art deco. Hate this. It is well constructed but someone got it wrong. Should have stuck with the classic Adelaide Tudor architecture which is truly iconic.
For the life of me ill never understand how or why anyone would just walk away from their home.....why not sell it? Thanks for sharing this lovely home Paul.
I was thinking the same, and the previous family probably did sell it in good condition. I think maybe when they are just buying house for using it as a grow house (lots of money) then selling it/the land that can support a couple of homes, when land prices increase too, they have made a lot of money. They don't care about the house or it's details. Kind of explains the bed, toys and the sofa (people guarding the grow. Possibly a woman and her small kids). The doors were probably changed for added security. Time to call for back up if anyone (squatters for example) did try to enter the home. I was wondering if that food container at the end was an Asian brand. I can almost imagine this being a big organised crime type of operation and is going on under peoples noses everywhere. And less suss if women and children coming and going. And nosy neighbours may be less likely to become friendly and ask questions if non English speaking too.
That was my initial thoughts too. My research shows the first owner purchased the land in 1938 but his name only appeared in the directories as a resident in 1943 which usually means the home was built the year before as the directory information was collected the previous year in order to be printed in time. During wartime you are right that more ornate homes were built in fewer numbers and only by more wealthy folk 😁👍
I think we all agree that it's a crime that these beautifully designed home are being torn down, I'm sure future generations will be sorry. Sad to see it has been abused by not so bright individuals. Love the windows and those beautiful double doors which I guess were replaced for privacy to that room.
Kitchen is good sized, lots of cupboards and good counter space. I'm surprised the shower wasn't smashed like the sink. I don't understand why squatters have to trash the house.
Paul those round lemons are probably grapefruit. A carport is not totally enclosed, after it has 4 sides or is enclosed witha roller doorand is free standing,, it becomes a shed, That front room with changed double doors, could of become a bedroom due to the growth of their family. Also there seemed to be a lot of wasted space but at Christmas & other occasions the house could become 6 bedrooms. Bye cheers to you Jenny Adelaide, South Australia
Are they lemons? Lemons normally have a longated oval shape. Maybe they were small grapefruit. If you squish the leaves you would be able to tell if it was a lemon.
A granted house from our side of it beautiful place it cost bit to put up and live in so had money to paid it back day hmmm apartments put up people to live in Ps 29:04 ...There goes the big yard that you have a dog or two
This is an absolute tragedy that these beautiful places are destroyed for the ugly monstrosities that they build now to squeeze as many people into each square foot… One day there will be people finding videos like this from their history…. And wondering why people these days tore them down So sad 😢
I don’t understand stupid, so I have no idea why anyone would replace those beautiful art deco doors. 🫤 Our state legalized cannabis, making illegal growers obsolete. We can grow our own, or pop into a shop and choose from a wide array of products. I’m glad for those who imbibe, and it’s cut our crime rate. Beautiful home! ❤️ Thanks!
Once upon a time, quite an elite home. I love those beautiful glass touches.
Hi Nancy, yes love the details put into these old homes. Glad you enjoyed. Cheers for watching 🙂👍
Another gorgeous old home 🏘️ gone to the developers
Thank you Paul😥💓
The facade and the porch are magnficent !
What a shame to destroy this house !
Merci pour la visite 😊
Ya should start a program on saving these houses 🏘 from demolition. Although some of them aren't very old, it's still sad 😞 to see these houses torn down. Your friend, Jeff.
Cheers Jeff. Purchased by international investors these homes just sit vacant while Australia's over inflated market makes them money..
Another mostly original beaut bites the dust.
Again. 🥺
I hope they save all that beautiful glass.
Thanks for the tour Paul!
👍🤠
I can see it was a gorgeous home and has some fabulous features. Ill never understand why people feel the need to destroy things ..
I love both these beautiful homes, but i especially love the first one. I loved the beautiful stained glass windows in the first one.I loved the big walk-in pantry. Cheers Debbie, glad you are enjoying the videos. Yes I loved the first home too! 👍😊
Lovely old home shame it has to go great video enjoyed it thank you ❤❤❤
How you keep finding amazing homes to explore is astonishing to me, Paul!
Keeping my eyes open and being consistent on checking potential places 👍🙂 Thanks for watching 👍

Once a grand house which may have had a scenic garden at the front and a functional garden at the rear.
Great explore, thank you for sharing.
Older houses in Australia have a charm those in US don’t have.
So many beautiful & unique details.
Rm with mattress, dining.
Yes, it was a beautiful home. You could still tell even with the damage. Cheers Paul 💜☮️

Classic Adelaide inter-war architecture! I love the terrazzo on the porch

Very cozy, comfortable style back then to go and stay - even the flooring used then was lovely (would possibly opt for that flooring style today - looks as if was quite attractive & impressive!). A very expensive home. The windows, barley posts, glazed bricks everything built to perfection. The tradesmen were something else.
Hi Paul

Hello Paul I really like this one the front entrance way is one of the areas I really like it's really a shame that this house is going to go down love from upstate New York❤😊
What a beautiful old house! Too bad no one is fixing her up! Very awesome video mate! 👍❤️🤘
The stories that this beautiful home could tell.
Sad to lose such exquisite houses.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching Shettikka 🙂👍
Hi Paul love your vids l enjoy going though old homes find them so interesting the older the better from Nanna di in mildura
What a lovely home, it such a shame how it finished up, I love seeing the art deco designs.
I like it 👍❤️🇺🇸
Very cool ..
Beautiful home. The original owner must’ve been well to do.
I think 30s. Only because it would've been hard to source materials during the war years.
That was my initial thoughts too. My research shows the first owner purchased the land in 1938 but his name only appeared in the directories as a resident in 1943 which usually means the home was built the year before as the directory information was collected the previous year in order to be printed in time. Kitchen is good sized, lots of cupboards and good counter space. I'm surprised the shower wasn't smashed like the sink. I don't understand why squatters have to trash the house.

For growing pot plants
Wow
Sad end for this home

Look like a apply tree to me not lenaon lol ps . Like the shape of house it so sweet

Oh nooo :(
She would have been beautiful in a heyday
was a beautiful home at one time what a waste
Man what beautiful home, sad they demo them and build crap places
👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️😺😺😺👋👋👋
😂 great find
Location?
Adelaide 😁
Dang!!!!
Makes me Sad & Mad. Destroy it and build "Cracker Boxes" and charge to much for new !!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well said!
They sure do not build them to that detail anymore. They are lucky to build four walls and a roof. Craftsmanship is dying.
I'd have to have taken a lemon...petty thievery but...
just a few mill to redo it check for dead bodies
I hope that the growers were jailed if for no other reason than their crimes against housing history!!
shame on those squatters
What a waste
Agree - You wonder - why our wonderful government do not step in and acquire this piece of architectural history 🤨😖
Nothings sacred anymore its all no character modern crap
