The owners are back since yesterday, probably the house wasn’t completely abandoned or probably yes , we won’t be able to know now .
The building company who have possession of the house were ment to be starting work to clear and renavate the property ready to be sold at auction. But this was put on hold them starting due to the covid-19 pandemic

Me, in the early morning hours. Had mr sitting on the edge of my seat WORRIED about this family. Lol come to find out, in the comment replying to the 3rd post by Sauny, it wasn’t even abandoned! Huge thanks to the gentleman. After reading the news articles I’m ready to go to bed. Lol
This is my friend's house. The family are greek not Russian. There's nothing sinister about their leaving. They had 5 children, a beautiful family. The tape is of the youngest daughter playing around. They moved abroad. The house was an old college hence the layout. My friend completely renovated it. Was such a beautiful home before it was ransacked by trespassers and burglars

This place is awe inspiring. Would love to live in a place like this. I am 61 but we never lived with anything like this. The true story of these people will probably never be known. The condition of this property definitely has a story.

Same with me, LOL. I'm 65 and find myself trying to telepathically tell these younger folks what an item is or how it was used. Just perfectly normal things to me from not so long ago, and I forget that these guys have never lived with any of it. I also LOVE seeing the European versions of things (I'm American), i.e., the cars/license plates, stand-alone wardrobes vs. walk-in closets, real wood furniture/antiques vs. WalMart/Target furniture, wonderful detailed architecture vs. boring American houses, and that sort of thing. I would love to go on one of these adventures!
Glad it's being looked into, everything left like that, especially the recording and phones, would love to hear an update.

I really like this guy cause he tries to keep the family's intimate private part, really private yet he's telling us as much as he can. He leads us with him showing us step by step and tries to tell us finally what possibly happened to the family and possibly the reason for abandonment. He seems to be empathetic.
Thank you for always being respectful! I just found your videos and have been binge watching today, my only day off 😂. I find it so sad that good reusable furniture and dishes etc. are just left to rot away along with the house. So many people out there could use those things. And the house, I think of all the people struggling to keep what they have. I know families that have very little as far as furniture and everyday household items because they put their pay towards keeping their homes and utilities as well as groceries etc.

Did you ever research what happened at that address? Spring-loaded locks, cameras, busted doors...either a horrible mystery evil or it looks like an army of cops raided the house and tore up the bedroom area...love to know the truth. LOVE your channel from an American great-granny~!

Hello, what I love the most is the living room. It’s so bright with the big windows and natural light. The modern appliances, the satellite dishes on the roof. I’m always shocked at how fast the decay happens, is that because of no heat going in the house. You mentioned 4-5 years abandoned. And why haven’t all the China and fine things been stollen? The house would have been emptied here in America! Thank you🙋♀️🦋💜I got chills when the toothbrush turned on!
There was a couple piles of keys, most likely they would've opened the locked doors.
Also you should have played that whole tape recording all the way through on camera!
I really wished you explored more. Like those tiny side doors, could've at least poked the camera in. Should've opened the fridge and freezers. That gorgeous chest should've been opened. As well as all those briefcases. I'm super curious!

@@Pinkrevenge101 the home was never abandoned. whoever busted the doors were also criminals. magine leaving your house for a while and coming back to see that people broke down your doors and went threw all your personal stuff.
Anndd about half of those “mobile” phones looked like just landline cordless phones with caller ID screens used to what criminals used to use in abundance was actually pagers.

I like that chandelier that is so pretty. It really shows off the character of the mansion. It does make you wonder it they were forced out of the house. Especially since the doors were busted in. That's a shame that all of that stuff was left behind, sad. That looks like it was a beautiful house back in the day! What a cool find. Hi all just wanted to share this with you.
Yes the property has mould and is damaged and the garden is overgrown, and it's easy to think it's abandoned. But it is owned by a man who became ill. It doesn't matter how long he hasn't been there it still is his property. The owner's son and daughter are already going through a lot with there father being ill and now they have to deal with this. People saying they should have been looking after the property but they have a life of there own with there own families and they can't look after the property 24/7. They are not Russians who had to run away they are a normal family who is dealing with there dad being ill. He was a hoarder that's why there are bags of DVD, clothes etc. So if you guys can stop believing in rumours. Because it's unfair for the family. imagine what the family are feeling right now that their father is ill and now they have to deal with this and imagine how the owner is going to feel when he comes back home to his house destroyed and his possessions stolen.

@@raciyesui8292 It's not illegal because the house wasn't secured. The owner did not tell them they were trespassing. The laws where you live are probably different. In the beginning of the explore I thought Dave said he was gonna try'n talk to some neighbors. I'm guess'n that didn't happen. Too bad, so many curiosities have been peaked... mine included.
This house belonged to a Greek tycoon, he was a father of 5 and his wife passed away in 2004, so he just up and left with his kids. So so strange.
Some guys got caught for burglary here too whilst abandoned
Hey cheers for sharing that. I wasn’t buying they had people locked in rooms etc, looked to me it was just left locked up an thief’s went through it afterwards. Hence locked doors kicked in.

Just cos no one reports missing person(s) shouldnt prevent an investigation. Not if the whole family is gone, and if theyre UK citizens. I dunno, Im not one myself, so dunno the law procedures there.

Oh my god, that strange noise in the basement sounded like a child. Creepy, especially after you listened to that tape recording earlier. I think something bad was happening in this place! Gives me shivers to think about what that could be.

I could not do this. There is no way I could just take a quick look around. I would want to stay for days just to look at everything. Another urban explorer would find my corpse a decade later. Sitting in an overstuffed chair covered in dust and cobwebs, still clutching a photo album left behind by the family that lived there.

Possibly the doors were locked from the outside with a key before the owners left and then vandals had broken through the doors.
I agree. Also the lockable rooms could have belonged to security and/or domestic staff that was expected to live in, originally at least. Some packing seems to have been underway before it was all just left. There are several generations of technology and books collected over a period. Given the cassette battery was still working, and the toothbrush charger was still working, I'm guessing there was five to ten years of living and was less than a year (battery life) since being totally abandoned. The owner and dependents went elsewhere and never came back (yet). The antiques have been chosen for wealth creation/investment and effect as the themes differ from baroque french porcelain clocks, to art deco piano. Evestaff piano's dont come cheap. This suggests professional entertainment. I'm guessing the hymn book came with the piano as the luxury goods and philosophies expoused in the books in other rooms don't match the adventist religious code. Also the piano stool is broken, the right top bar missing suggesting someone picked it up whilst full of music books and broke it. So collector, dependendents and staff. No real evidence of a married couple in residence but I'd need to watch it several times more to be sure of that.

I love watching these videos. It's like your taking us back in time like with the Titanic. They explore it on the ocean floor and give you a glimpse at the way it use to be and with y'all it's taking us back and giving us a glimpse of the way these abandoned mansions use to be and a glimpse into the owners life a little bit. You can almost see the past in a lot of them, especially this one.

I could just imagine the family escaping through the back door as bad people were breaking in the front. Wonder what sort of car they used, if those lovely ones were left. There was some serious money spent on the house, such a shame it's left to wrack and ruin. Btw when I had a guest house we had locks on every bedroom door so maybe something like that figures in the story. intriguing

UPDATE, this house is not abandoned! The owner (who is Greek) is apparently hospitalised and hasn’t been able to maintain the house due to ill health!
6 people have been arrested for the vandalism and theft and the owners have had some of the vehicles and valuables removed etc! I’d also like to add I’m not having a go at this channel, its the newspapers and the leaks who have caused this!

I think the story about the owner being in hospital etc is a cover up why now have the family all of a sudden decided to come and board it all up etc doesn’t add up surely u would have done that years ago. More than likely drug related or mafia. So sad that it has been vandalised the media always have to poke noses in and now look what has happened. So sad. Love ur video tho.

The family is Greek.
The Tachmintzis family; Athanasios (father) known as Thanos lost his wife of 35 years, in 2004, from cancer. They have 5 children: three sons, Alexis, 43; Nicholas, 41; and 36-year-old Paul, & two daughters, Kristiana, 34, and Alicia, 28.
The father falling ill does not warrant for the children not tending to the property or its contents, especially Greeks; we are very close nit and family orientated....I don't believe it was just illness in this case.
I got a bit more information from a Greek newspaper article dated 21.05.2020; it says that it is a mystery on the whereabouts and disappearance of the Greek millionaire (the father) more than 3 years ago. According to the article, the millionaire is the sole shareholder of a Real Estate company; Imperial Estates London Ltd., but the baffling part is, in 2017, during a period where the mansion already was showing signs of abandonment, there was an advertisement of the company. The necessary paperwork however, of the company was not submitted for its continuance and was eventually deleted from the registries. (The millionaire's registered permanent residence since 2016)
The children do not seem to have returned following the father's disappearance, but it is odd that the loan on the house was completely paid off in July 2019, in the amount of £1.075.000. Following this payment, the titles of the mansion were transferred to an architectural company with a North London address, where 2 other companies owned by 2 of the sons, Nicholas and Paul are registered.
As well, there is another company, register to Nicholas, under the name Mirai Industek Ltd, with a registered headquarters address of the mansion, that went dormant in 2018. Very unclear of Nicholas' business dealings as there is an additional trading company that he is a director of, which has been deleted from the registry in April 2019.

This video gives me a strange feeling like you are walking around a crime scene. It also looks like somebody was searching the house for something else as well. Hope the family is okay, you don't have security detail like that if your safe. Did you ever see a security camera control room? Outstanding exploration video 🖒😎
My wife and I both agree you need to re-visit and use some of those many keys laying about to open up the locked rooms. Still wouldn't be breaking and entering as you've already entered the domicile. Also for future explores, would love to see you linger a bit longer over the photos. As long as you're not compromising the location, would be great to see more of the faces of the people who lived there.
Location has already been compromised as the Sun newspaper has done an article on it, and the building has been vandalised since unfortunately!

Fascinating video. Raises so many questions. My thoughts: the only thing that can be said with any real certainty is that it was being operated as a HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) to rent-paying tenants in the multiple bedrooms, but on an unlawful basis, as the house should have had fire extinguishers in corridors and fire exit signs (as you would see in hotels). So there's already something illicit about the place. But I never got any sense of serious criminality / imprisonment / people smuggling. The books and clothing of those residents in the many bedrooms suggested they were in their mid to late 30s and well educated. Perhaps mature students? The smashed down doors look to me like the work of law enforcement authorities (police? Home Office?) in a dawn raid. This is a pretty wild theory, but I'd take a punt on the homeowner being a wealthy university lecturer who was unlawfully providing accommodation to international students (visa overstayers, perhaps?) who all got simultaneously removed and deported when the place was busted. Hence the belongings of many different people being left behind. I really don't think the house was repossessed by a bank, because no bailiff would deny the right of the subletters to have their personal belongings returned to them.
That's exactly what I was thinking as well... but then you have the cars outside and that mysterious tape recording...
I’d be more inclined to believe this theory tbh! It looked like the tenants/occupants had a lot of possessions, and it didn’t look like they were there against their will. Pretty sure if people are held in rooms against there will they don’t get jacuzzi’s and the likes. Most likely was the authorities who raided the building, but until anyone finds out the true story, it could be anything, and most theories look plausible at this point! Maybe the owner is in prison hence why most of the belongings are there? Maybe the occupants were illegally staying there or even in the country illegally and thats why all of their stuff is there? Who knows, but that house definitely holds a story of some sort!
The hard part about watching abandoned exploration is wanting to investigate further but it's not a crime documentary... Good stuff thumbs up.
Maybe the place was secured properly when the owners left and someone or some people broke in and bashed the doors open to see what they could take? It's strange too that some doors are left locked as if the people that broke in were disturbed before they could finish bashing the rest of the doors in? It's obvious the place has been trashed before you guys got there. Just a suggestion.
It’s unbelievable to me how everything is still there, that people/ vandals haven’t come in and took things. Especially with that much stuff of worth, if This was in the United States everything will be wiped out and in pawn shops

Plus I thought it was strange for there to be power an a working electric toothbrush after so long of being empty. I also thought it was kinda strange to see piles of items at the doors and windows like they was ready to go out the door. Also all the TVs was gone ?? If you watch in every room y’all went In you can see where the flat screens was hanging such as wires etc but the TVs was gone. Plus Iv lost my keys I. The yard before and could not find them I looked n looked had to get a replacement made but y’all walk out and literally pick up the key to that one car.

I’m not trying to be negative at all I love videos like this but this one sure does have a lot of questionable things in it! Just like the 3rd floor play room it just looked great honestly no damage I seen far as ceiling or floor nothing but the bottom floors are all damaged and molded. To my knowledge and experience the 3rd floor or if there was attic it would but idk if this house had a attic but it would have more damage then the bottom floors due to the barrier between the floors the 3rd floor has nothing but a roof that connects to the outside world and the bottom floors have the protection of the 3 rd and 2nd floor so I’m little on the fence.
Beth S black mold isn’t called black mold because it’s black, there are other molds that are black and aren’t deadly like “black mold is” a mansion like this can be bought at auction and renovated well below value I’m sure

I reckon the house was repossessed and the bailiffs come in and forced everyone out. in our country a property is repossessed on a certain date, at a certain time and if you have not vacated that premises then you are forced to leave and you cant take your stuff as your times up. i'm thinking maybe that is the case with this place, its just a guess. Anyway as usual it was another great explore so thank you and it was nice to see Ben and Tommy in the video as well x
It's a good guess but in my opinion I feel it must have been more complicated than that, normally when bailiffs are sent to reposes the property, they sell on the property's assets to try and make up for any financial losses on their part. The fact that everything has been left tells me their departure happened very quickly!

This is England. They pay for people to live in entire houses if they have one baby. The last thing they have are sheriffs and they are the least aggressive peace officer out there. If you want to live off the system or commit crimes, England is your go to. It’s nothing like North America.

The family is Greek.
The Tachmintzis family; Athanasios (father) known as Thanos lost his wife of 35 years, in 2004, from cancer. They have 5 children: three sons, Alexis, 43; Nicholas, 41; and 36-year-old Paul, & two daughters, Kristiana, 34, and Alicia, 28.
No not repossessed, but things just don't add up. Someone wrote in the comments that the father fell ill, but this does not warrant for the children not tending to the property, especially Greeks; we are very close nit and family orientated....I don't believe in just illness in this case.
I got a bit more information from a Greek newspaper article dated 21.05.2020; it says that it is a mystery on the whereabouts and disappearance of the Greek millionaire (the father) more than 3 years ago. According to the article, the millionaire is the sole shareholder of a Real Estate company; Imperial Estates London Ltd., but the baffling part is, in 2017, during a period where the mansion already was showing signs of abandonment, there was an advertisement of the company. The necessary paperwork however, of the company was not submitted for its continuance and was eventually deleted from the registries. (The millionaire's registered permanent residence since 2016)
The children do not seem to have returned following the father's disappearance, but it is odd that the loan on the house was completely paid off in July 2019, in the amount of £1.075.000. Following this payment, the titles of the mansion were transferred to an architectural company with a North London address, where 2 other companies owned by 2 of the sons, Nicholas and Paul are registered.
As well, there is another company, register to Nicholas, under the name Mirai Industek Ltd, with a registered headquarters address of the mansion, that went dormant in 2018. Very unclear of Nicholas' business dealings as there is an additional trading company that he is a director of, which has been deleted from the registry in April 2019.
A few things to note: The Bentley appears to have been moved recently - no plants growing on it but bonnet appears like it did. Pot plant still alive after a few years? Window next to telescope broken and door ajar but telescope in the way of getting in. Broken door jamb in office right next to a drawer - like someone knew exactly where they had to go after breaking in. Snooker table had objects placed on it before and had been moved - you can see the dust surrounding them. Who can play snooker with stuff around the snooker table anyway? Looked like one person was playing. Some of the cars did not appear to be from a wealthy person and they are parked in the open while other cars are over grown with plants. You would think they had a garage for the cars.

If this was a repossession the management company would secure the building, change locks and the bank with the mortgage would have it up for sale ASAP. Also if repossessed the management company turns off utilities and drains water from taps. You could check on land registry to see if there is still an active mortgage.

At 36:37 you can hear a male voice say "get out of here" and then right after that, you hear what sounds like a little girl's whimper.
When you listen to that tape at 7:28 it sounds like the person is possessed, and then that female voice comes through, and then that beast sound. When in the basement, that little girl whimper sounded similar to that female voice in the tape. Maybe something so strange happened, that we can't seem to have a clue about it.
That's just such a creepy place, someone should investigate it a lot more, like with spiritually aware people.

Omg! I just read last night about this Greek family and saw pictures of the house and today Im watching your video! this is it! that's their house. It belongs to the Greek tycoon Athanasios Tachmintzis and his 5 children, 3 boys 2 girls. the wife died in 2004 from cancer. It is not entirely abandoned. The family still uses that address and they were supposed to renovate it. Something really weird must of happened though...the Interpol was involved.

@Cynthia The house is not owned by that family. It has always been under an every twisting and changing corporation name, even when they were there. Oddly the corporation now owns the rapper 50 Cent's $18 million dollar Mansion and this one. There is no death record to be found for mother anywhere. This is an abduction and murder starting point of all but maybe 2 of the sons, IMO.
I know you can't clean those places out but it just kills me that those antiques are just going to be ruined. My grandparents' house burned so to see old stuff just wasting away for no reason hurts! Somebody should be able to save it, let alone the house!!!

I noticed there were no pictures too... pretty creepy. Normally religious families have TONS of family pictures, so that makes me think (combined with the locks on the doors & excessive security cameras) that it definitely wasn’t a family living there.
If only the roof had been repaired, rather than spending money on furnishings and clothes, this mansion would still be in excellent condition. People should understand with a faulty roof black mold sets in and the cost to repair the damage is twice what a new roof would cost. Now, a new roof and repairing the damage as well too bad so many don't realize a new roof is the first order of business. The third floor would have been where the servants slept.
A lot of damage in these places gets caused by scavengers who like the Lead 'flashes' in the roof and Copper plumbing parts, they will rip out pipes/ tanks and the water just runs..
the amount of garden space you could make a full on utter oasis, awestruck, massive lake with a jetty and island, swimming pool pond aswell, my imagination was reeling, love gardens !!

I think the laughter here and there was because this place was so bizarre, bordering on creepy. Especially after that weird recording and seeing all the locked doors that were smashed open. It's kind of like giggling in the middle of a scary movie---release of tension. (Yall are so silly lol)

It was probably nasty vandals who broke the doors and separated items they want to come back and steal.

People always assume the sinister. Ask any apartment manager and the usual reason why people abandon things is They leave it when they leave the place as a form of downsizing. People would leave everything from a single chair to almost everything they own. Clothes were common because people would change size and just leave what doesn't fit anymore.

Claims by some people that they've talked to neighbours & that this beautiful home isn't really abandoned just don't make sense... there is a lot of cob-webs, mould, decay, falling down ceilings, which indicates that this place has been abanoned for a long time, and yes, every bed-room looks like it was occupied by someone different with different possesions, and no, you don't put individual locks on the doors, you'd seal them up properly... would like to learn more about this location... just wish people would stop claiming to know things, when they really know nothing! Just did some research. According to the Greek City Times, (May 17, 2020), this mansion in Kings Langley was owned by Athanasios Tachmitzis who abandoned it in 2016 and fled the country. He had married a Welsh woman before who died of cancer in 2004. Relatives claimed he was into many shady business deals and would have cash always hanging around the place. Maybe he listened to more and realized it has nothing to do with a crime committed. Pretty sure the explorer is a good enough man that if he thought he could do some justice he would. They edit these videos and it's all about views. So f they listened to more of that tape and it was obvious it wasn't a crime they probably won't put it in the video as to get more views. The point I'm trying to make is when you watch videos you only see a percentage of what's really going on. You never get the whole picture. So I think it's not wise to assume stuff. I try not to put comments that I know nothing about. I like to be able to back my info up. Having said that I probably do need to learn to calm down. I just get so salty when people comment on something they know very little on.
