- In this episode of Urban Exploring, I will be taking you through this gorgeous abandoned single-owner home, that was built in 1977, and is still stuck, in 1977! Located in a beautiful area of a busy city, this home is sure to be prime real estate with a massive property including beautiful tree coverage and a true sense of privacy and seclusion. Inside, the home has all the charm from the 1970s, from the kitchen, to the massive family room area with its incredible woodwork and vaulted ceiling. It's hard to believe a place that was taken care of with such pride now sits abandoned with an unknown fate. Join me for a tour of this absolutely stunning 70's gem!

I'm not as impressed as I thougt I'd be, still, I like the floor plan and the genuine real wood paneling, the fake paneling would have to go though.
I belive it's not totally abandoned yet, someone's cutting the grass, there's also what looks to be a realtor's card box and a key lockbox outside the front door at 2:10
Thanks for the tour Greg! 👍🤠
Notes:
1:24 Absolutely a 70's lampost, all the way.
1:51 What an oddity at my perspective, 50's knotty pine tongue and groove interior paneling painted and applied on the exterior. The first I've ever seen.
6:58 And has a willow tree or two at the back. I like those.
14:23 Strange place for a widow air conditioner, the laundry room.
19:24 I notice many of the electric baseboard heaters are covered with aluminum foil, even though they have overheat protection, doing so tempts fate.
22:04 I'll call this the "through the years indecision room", they never knew what to do there.
Hey John, I think I'm disappointed by that, haha.. I expected you to love it! You're right about the fake paneling though... I believe the neighbors are cutting the grass here, because of where it is.. The lockbox, many places have them, sometimes they're forgotten.. It's sitting wide open, so your guess is as good as mine... Thanks for your awesome writeup, i'll make sure its pinned!
Could have used ac laundry for pets in summer
Old properties have such character. This home is gorgeous and just needs a new owner to make it extra special.
Thank you for showing us.
Hey Rachel. It was my pleasure. Thank you for stopping by to watch and comment. I agree this place is gorgeous and has so much character, it could be made extra special easily enough! Thank you again and I hope you will watch more of my videos
Older homes have so much more warmth than new ones😢
Hey S D! I totally agree with you! So much more character and charm. Thank you so much for watching and commenting, I hope you'll watch some more of my videos!
This is probably one of the coolest houses that you have explored! Awesome outside and in!! Love the family room. Nice fireplace and all of the woodwork and sky lights, it looks good with the blue carpet I think. Never seen wooden spotlights like that before, that’s unique and cool. Awesome explore as always brother!!!!
Hey man, that is awesome to hear! I did enjoy it a lot.. The woodwork and sky lights were definitely amazing.. I knew you'd enjoy that! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for being there!
This is James Barrow this house is amazing it needs some new windows and the house can be saved and up for sale
Hey James, I totally agree with you, this is one that could easily be a great home still. Thanks for checking this out and commenting! I appreciate it!
So someone is mowing the lawns! Usually when a place is abandoned the lawns are a jungle as well as the gardens! Not so here!
abandoned places dont have kitchen lights still on either,im sure this is not abandoned, maybe for sale for a very long time
Hey Marion, the neighbors are taking care of the property, the area it is in, is a nice area. So they don't want an eyesore. It isn't usual to see that..
actually, some do. Look at some of my older stuff, I have been in places half disintegrated with power still! Thanks for watching and commenting though, these things can be deceiving!
I could imagine this place with a full veggie and flower garden. When weeds are big ,easy to 0ull out. O H YES!!!
That is true! That makes it easier. I like the ideas you have!!
This home is gorgeous. I'd tackle that garden in a heartbeat, the main living area finished in wood is amazing as is the views from almost every window. Definitely was someones heaven
Love the 70's Area ,and thanks for sharing
Hey Mary. I'm glad to hear you loved it! Thank you for watching the video and commenting. It means a lot! I hope you'll check out some more of my videos
Where's the listing?? We need to buy it. This video felt like a realtor showing a house for sale. It looks perfect, except some of that wallpaper shriveling up in the basement. It's amazingly clean. The only work it needs is to clean up those beds around the house, and do some driveway work. I would live there in a heartbeat. Also, I wouldn't change a thing about the interior. It is so untouched, there's nothing worth changing to me.
Hey MilleMeteor74, I wish this place was for sale, unfortunately, I know that developers own it now and the future is probably grim for this place. It is a perfect home that could easily be used still, I fully agree with you.. The interior is cool here, its really special, it shouldn't be changed! I'm glad you found this video and enjoyed it, I hope you subscribed and will watch some more of my stuff! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Love this house!!!!! I could live there!!!!!❤️ Thank you🙂
Hey Vickie! That's so awesome to hear. I'm glad you loved this place! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, I hope you'll watch some more of my content!
I have that very pencil sharpener, got half of it in New Mexico and the other half in a house on a river in Alaska sitting on the ground next to a big empty doorway looking right over a big old beautiful river emptying into a bay.
That's a very cool story! Those pencil sharpeners have been in a few houses I've seen now.. Thats wild you pieced one together from two different locations!
Love this place Greg! Such a shame. Great explore! As always 😊😊😊
Hey Robin! Glad to see you saw this one! It was a really cool place to do, I totally agree it's a complete shame! Thank you so much for checking this one out, I always appreciate hearing from you!
Pretty clean home
Hey Rodney, yes it is pretty clean, but it doesn't take long with our winters up here for problems to develop.. It won't stay that way if it sits!
I love this home and hopefully someone will buy it.

@@UncappedFilms I like looking at the 70's houses.
@@JST-bc5te that is awesome to hear! I think you'll enjoy thursday's new video then!
beautiful house.
It really is!
The overgrowth is awesome. Love the knotty pine wood outside the whole flavor of this place. The basement seems like it was finished some and stripped. A very neat place that seems like its not been abandoned too long. With some changes and a few updates like some windows, central air and heating this would be an awesome place. Every home I have owned were ones needing help. Not a fan of the super modern. I like homes with the retro vibe like this one. Thanks for the great video!
Hey GJ!! The overgrowth in the gardens was insane right?? This place had great wood choices inside and out, just awesome character... You might be right about the basement, i mean some definitely was stripped, but I'm not sure they finished the ceiling. I think this place has been abandoned a couple years. Definitely could be updated and reused for sure. This one had the perfect vibe right?? Thank you for watching and leaving another awesome comment, I really appreciate you!
Awesome 👍🏾 thank you 👍🏾
Hey Shettikka!! Actually it's awesome that you watched, thank you!!
Absolutely love that family room! Keep Orance Crushing It, Champ!
Thanks Tommy, I thought you would! It really is great! thanks for being there as always

Great job, nice little home, with a little fixing up of course. Loved the skylights, family room. The backyard was gorgeous!
Fun explore with fun people, as always 😊
Best of luck to you on the 23rd 🥊💪 Keep us updated!
Go Uncapped 🤘🦅
Hey SMIPA! I'm glad you enjoyed it, definitely a cool spot.. The skylights were the nicest I've seen in a long time! The yard was huge!! Thank you for the well wishes! Thanks for being part of this thing as always!!
you can get it cheap, no doubt, considering it's architecture all age and location.
Actually, where it is, I wouldn't be shocked if it was a multi-million dollar property/home now
GROWING POT PLANTS IN THE BASEMENT
You think they had a grow going on? They don't have much equipment left behind, so I'm not sure!
I'd love to go on a abandoned trip
Hey Sharon! What would be the kind of place you would want to see first??
Someone has mowed part of front and back you can see the tracks in the yard
Hey Melody, yeah they do mow the lawn. A lot of towns have bylaws about that, and other places, the neighbors will just cut the lawn so it isn't as much of an eyesore. This is a nicer neighborhood, so probably both are reasons why its mowed. Thanks for watching and commenting, I hope you'll watch some more of my videos!
Love this House its in pretty good shape. Just needs some Updates. And someone would be good to go and Happy. Great Video thank You for sharing ❤❤
Hey Karen! I agree it's a pretty decent house, and some updates could make it perfect. I'm glad you saw this one and enjoyed it, thank you so much for watching. I hope you'll check out some more of my videos

Hey dude, you bet it is! He found it too.
a Blue Spruce kool...
Hey SeventhTrump, you know your trees I guess, I don't! LOL. Thanks for pointing that out!
basement windows are very old, this must be a rebuild. Old house.
yes, they're definitely ancient windows, you just don't see big basement windows like that now, they're more like prison cell windows if anything lol
I'd straight up move right into this house! It just needs some work finishing up the basement. Good luck on your big fight this weekend! 👍
Hey grouchyfish!! Thank you for checking this and for the good luck! I won the fight in the second round by knockout!

Hey Firefly! Glad you watched and enjoyed the place, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I hope to hear from you again!
Open House, why the electric is still on, back then... then it was abandoned and forgotten, probably relatives in another state, can't do anything about it for now...
You know, every time the power is on, it is a mystery.. Sometimes I think they just forget to disconnect. I've literally been in places that are half disintegrated and the power is still on. (you'll see if you check my older content)
probably for a caretaker, that basement apt.
That is a possibility, or maybe a family member!
1950s bungalow, kool...

Hey Rodney, really.. That is interesting, do you still have it now? Thanks for watching and commenting!
The house has character and totally worth it
Hey Kelly!! I totally agree that's what makes all these old places so cool, they have character! Thank you so much for watching and commenting and I hope you'll be back for some more
its an Open House, ready to sell.
fully agree, this could be sold and lived in
Wow, I really love this place. What a waste. I would live in it.
hey Suzanne, it is a bigtime waste right? It's great inside, wouldn't take much to make most people happy.. Thank you for watching and commenting, I hope you'll be back for more!
Your very welcome and I will definitely be back for more. BTW, I love your intro.
Oops has a deep basement, NOT a California/west coast house, too many earthquakes here...
Are you from the west coast? Yeah this is a house in ontario canada, near toronto!
Thanks for a really interesting explore! I got the impression that this house was somehow in transition. It has lots of original features, with some very strange hacks. The great room is amazing, while the rest of the house kind of goes from ok to just weird.
The unusual baseboard heater issues and the covered thermostats made me wonder if someone was starting (or planning) to upgrade the heating system. I wonder if they were restoring the house to be true to its original time period, but in a classy and more functional way. “Retro-Renovation”. That’s a thing here in the U.S.
But those are just my thoughts; I could be wrong. The yard is beautiful. Every time you admired it, I felt nostalgic for my childhood home on 10 acres.
I appreciate the way you keep your viewers oriented to where we are in the house.
Hey Gina! I'm glad you saw it and enjoyed it.. You described this place perfectly, it definitely had some strange hacks. I agree the main room and kitchen were the highlights of the place. I think they were renting the place and that was their solution to prevent use of the baseboard heaters honestly lol. I loved the yard too, glad it reminded you of your childhood home! And I appreciate the compliments, I do my best to make it like you're with me on the explore!! thanks for watching and I really hope to hear from you again! Sorry for the slow reply, I wanted to make sure I properly addressed your comment!
they obviously had a garden or two...
HAD, before the weeds took over :)
very interesting house, would have never guessed there was an apartment in the basement lol. carpet colours are another thing to be desired lol.
Hey ms sparks!! Definitely an interesting house, I love the wood paneling upstairs. The carpet colors are truly wild lol. Thank you so much for watching this one, I always appreciate you!!
77, of course.
Sounds right to you?
yard overgrowth definitely at least twelve years...
I think twelve is a bit long! the house would be a lot worse off, most of it is weeds, so that can happen relatively fast.
Gorgeous house. Only thing I'd change is the wood paneling.
Hey Jules, which wood paneling would you change? The inside (all of the house??), or little bit outside?? Thank you for watching and commenting, I hope you'll watch some more of my videos!
@UncappedFilms the lighter panels. The darker ones aren't horrible .
@@UncappedFilms I try to catch all your videos. I recently discovered your channel and I like the way you explore.
