hiii!! It's so funny to look back on all my art ~eras~ and to see what thoughts were running through my brain at any given time haha. I also can't believe it's been 2 years since lockdown brought me back to art! I hope this was fun 2 watch!! >:)
I love seeing how peoples process changes over time, glad to see you found your voice! Art style is such a big stressor I think we all need to let go of.
This was a fun ride 😊 I love going through my own art from my past. My style is rooted in children’s illustration. I set aside my digital art and pick it up again here and there. Since the pandemic I’ve pretty much enveloped myself in analog art again. I’ve gone back to drawing buildings, bugs, flora and fauna. I had my art Insta going for a few years then I stopped posting on social media because, well, social media. Maybe one day I’ll get back to it again. I don’t miss it much, TBH.
Ah I resonated with this so much! I'm not happy with my art style yet but am at the start of having my first intentional sketching journal. i already feel so much more confident in the things I have been sketching because theyre my own
So happy I stumbled upon your account because I can relate to your journey!! From starting digital art in 2020 (i continue to find my art style) to balancing work with art (ur other video). Thank you Gabi for sharing your experience!
Omg the hold animal crossing pocket had on me was REDONKULOUS. I feel the same about coming up with names like why is it so hard lol. I love the lighting in digital art. Dtiys are awesome I feel like I fell off with them because I didn’t have a style and would end up just drawing what they drew and then I would go back and try to change the hair or something then I just stopped altogether. I love the openness and truth behind your journey. Thank you for sharing 💛
Aw thank you for your sweet comment :) Yes I definitely want to do this in the future! I currently have two jobs outside of art but one is seasonal, so once the season is over I’ll figure out how to sell prints! Exciting stuff!!
