In 2022 I didn't do any art and my mental health was trash. In 2023 when I got into art again my mental health has been great. Art is so therapeutic to me🙃
I’ve been struggling so so much as an artist and my progress but I’ve realized that it’s my life & my journey so I’m gonna be me the whole way. And it makes it even harder as a woman I feel so I’m so grateful for your vulnerability bc it makes me feel heard and like damn there are other women who are just as confused but so strong ❤❤
Hello, I just wanted to tell you that you inspired me to create my own painting. I did mine a bit different, but I loved you chose affirmations for yourself. Instead, I ended up writing a message to myself (or future self) from a friend perspective. I feel like writing in this way was easier to write from a place of love. I absolutely loved how it turned out and I am so proud. It's been waaaayyyy too long since I created a piece from my soul! Thank you for inspiring me! :)

I love the freedom that you express in your art and your passion for it shines through. Have you ever thought of adding airbrush to your work? I know you would excel in it.

the leftie smudge struggles is the most relatable content xD I wrote with an ink pen through most of my school + university years and the side of my hand was just always blue. Also I love the chaotic/ugly sketch book idea. I'm not an ARtist TM but I do dabble sometimes and often get frustrated when what comes out on paper doesn't match my vision. Maybe I'll try to draw with the explicit goal that it should look messy.

Picasso and Degas both had sketchbooks that were a mix of drawings on one page that were so realistic, and then a few lines and smudges filling up the next page - the important thing is to just keep drawing - btw Julia Cameron has a new book called Living the Artist's Way - but I think I still like the original one better - and i love the high school art! - you're a natural - I have to work so hard at it - good thing it's fun for me - happy 2024!

Congrats on your decision to give yourself more time. Quitting the NBA possibly sounds a little scary for you, but I think you'll like having a bit more room to breathe with just the two jobs. TH-cam being one (yes it is work ;) ) and your other one. You'll be just fine.
You seemed uncertain as to whether you were saying "gesso" correctly. I believe you are. The "G" in "gesso" sounds like the "J" in "Jell-o". I think instead of calling them "ugly" sketchbooks, we should borrow a term from AuthorTube and call them "zero-draft" sketchbooks, where the first draft is a first attempt to put something together how we want it to look and feel, the zero draft is the "no pressure", "no expectations", "get all your ideas out there", "doesn't have to look pretty" draft, just like you were saying, aimed at capturing our ideas however rough, more so than our desired aesthetics.

Your are a an influencer , living your life without mentioning what is going in Palestine is a shame on you !you have an audience and not using for the sake of humanity is a big big shame ! What is going there is a genocide ! Women are 💣 , children are cutting into parts , houses are falling , hospitals are literally going down , churches and mosques are going down as well ! Kids crying for families and journalist have being attacking as well ! Here’s one of the tragic stories : a Palestinian journalists received a news on his work , 22 of his family members are gone ! What more should those people should go through in order for the people around the entire world to wake up from their silence and speak , 😢😢😢😢😢 do not be like that 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
