    Hay friend I keep watching as I figured you of all teardrop camper owner/builders could come up with a side tent/awning that looked and functioned well. So far I think the ez up cube tent will do it although it does not look the best, but we need a bug free space outside the TDC for changing and chilling.

      I’ve been trying to come up with a design for anDIY awning, but can’t really think of anything that would be affordable and look good any cheaper than some of the commercially available ones. I may break down and get one of those.

    Thanks for the camera info. I'm a cabinet maker/boat builder on the coast of North Carolina. ( and a subscriber) you have inspired me to build a teardrop . I'm semi retired so I got the time. If you ever get to the Cape look out area post on face book and I'll look you up.

      If you can build cabinets and boats, a teardrop will be easy! Good luck on your build! If I head over that way, and I occasionally do, I’ll be sure to give you a heads up.

    Your videos are so fancy now! Nice table! I didn’t know you could grind down screws. I just get into my gigantic box of abandoned misfit hardware and hunt until I find what I need. I hate that process as much as I probably would hate grinding! Ha

      Lol! There’s not much fancy about me! I could of went to the hardware store, but you know how it is when you get impatient. Thanks for watching. Always nice to hear from you!

    Take that other rail half and make a hanging trash can. Solves your trash bag issue too.

      Hmmm....now that’s clever!

    I wish you had shown how to install the bracket to the trailer.

      Sorry! Just use self-tapping stainless screws and back the bracket with butyl tape.

    Love your build. May I suggest you get a set of Vix bits. They make attaching hinges much easier.

      @CampandCamera  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just looked them up. Those look nice! Thanks for the lead!

      @@CampandCamera I know by experience that Vix Bits don't work with piano hinges, they are so thin that the Vix Bit don't stay centered. Maybe they will work with your specific hinges.
      For the piano hinges, I had to design a special drilling jig.

      Never seen those. That's cool. I ordered a set. I'll use them for the countersinking when drilling aluminum for the trim.

    Great camper and thanks for the table idea! How did you attach the rail to your camper wall?

    • @CampandCamera
      @CampandCamera  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Holt Hopkins Thanks! I used butyl tape and stainless screws

    Hey there,
    Your videos are a godsend to those of us currently building a teardrop!
    A few questions maybe you can help me with. What trim are you using under the galley hatch (on the outside wall) and did you have to notch your galley wall after the hurricane hinge??
    Thanks for doing what you do Sir!

    • @CampandCamera
      @CampandCamera  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much!!! I used the same roof edge trim on the wall portion of the galley area that I did around the remainder of the wall. Although, I used countersink screws on that section so I could stick the seal down the middle channel in the trim. I didn’t notch my wall. I used a double seal for my galley (1 on the wall and 1 on the hatch). This raised the hatch up a bit for me.

    Like all your videos. One question . What camera do you use to film your videos ??

    • @CampandCamera
      @CampandCamera  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! I use the GoPro Hero 7 Black for much of it. Some of the dialogue is shot with a Canon 5D MKII and a Canon EOS M. I’m getting ready to swap the EOS M out for an M50 though.

    Is that a 110 Rascal?

    • @CampandCamera
      @CampandCamera  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sort of. It’s a Rascal 110 clone from Value Hobby. I don’t think they sell them anymore though. Good eye!

    I don't know why More trailers don't do this so you can cook outside and keep all the smells from staying in the trailer
