- AC, Power steering, Serpentine belt replacement 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES
I am in no way shape or form a mechanic, but this is one of the easier things to do. It's a good idea to have the right tools available...trust me, spend a few bucks its worth it.

Is it difficult changing the timing belt on a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer?
Mr1600s it was a bit out of my experience, I had a friend help me with it and he made sure I didn't screw it up. I would get help with it if you can.

Would the process be similar for an 03 montero sport?
If I want to replace that pulley do i just take the nut in the middle of it off? If so does the pulley just come off and you screw the new one on?
I believe so yes, take off the nut and it should come off. I haven't replaced mine yet but after talking to a friend of mine he said it is pretty straightforward.

Anyone have video for 2003 Mitsubishi lancer alternator belt
wouldn't turnover after replacing it. did I not tight it enough, too tight, not aligned??? did I loosen a plug somewhere??
???wouldn't turn over at all? was it able to start before you replaced the belt?
I got it bro. I was using a jump box to jump it all day and for some reason it wouldn't get it going so I used my truck to jump it and it fired up after a couple of tries. Your video was a life and money saver. Really appreciate it bro. THANKS again!

if your car starts squealing after you start it then the belt might be a bit loose, tighten it just a little and try it again😎
My tension bolt won't come off that easy

how did you get the tensioner bolt off? im trying this on a 02 galant and its impossible to get in there, there is like a half inch of space between the bolt which is inside the pulley and the steel frame of the car, nothing will get in there....
at the 1:48 mark in the video I showed the wrench that saved me in those tight spots..for Christmas I got a whole set of them! 😁 hopefully that's all you need...it is kind of a pain though...good luck and I hope you can get it.
yamman33 yeah i saw that and i have one but still cant get in there, it fits between the bolt and frame but the bolt is inside the pulley so cant get it in there... i'll have to ask about it on galant forums and see what they say, anyway thanks for the video and thanks for the fast response much appreciated

What's the drive belt number I bought some from AutoZone and advance auto parts and neither fit??
I wish I knew, I did the same as you. Went to AutoZone told them make and model and that was it....
Ok I checked AutoZones page and it gave me Part # 4060495
SKU # 940133
It's pretty long but as long as you put it in and tighten the tension it should fit. I hope this helps, sorry your having trouble.

no the belt just goes around the power steering pulley, tensioner, AC pulley and the crankshaft pulley 😉

Jesse Allen I'm not sure of exact dimensions, I went to my local auto parts store and told them that I needed an a/c power steering serpentine belt and they hooked me up.
It only have one belt or 2 ?
