Just got mine two days ago. Its a great big self defense pocket knife of DOOM! And I love it.I also have the Rajah 2XL, the Luzon Large, and the Voyager Clip Point XL. All good knives.

Wish i had picked up the espada xl with the blackened blade when i first saw them. Tempted to pick up one of their current ones but somewhat hesitant just to wait and see if they rerelease this one?

LOL! No, not at all. I am one of those (rare it seems) people who doesn't like to shatter the peace and quiet. It was such a beautiful and calm day with just the birdsong, I just spoke softly.
Where I was filming is virtually on a stage with the way all the gardens are laid out, so my any neighbours looking out of a window would have seen me.

Hello sir, I really like your Espada xl cts xhp, since they are discontinued it’s quite difficult to find these for sale now and I was wondering if you could let it go and if so for how much US dollars?
They also made one in AUS-8. The shittiest blade steel ever made.
I broke my rajha 2 didn't have it for very long. Don't beton wood with rajha 2 that's how I broke mine. I am thinking of definitely getting a espada XL and EDC regularly. The cheapest I found was on Amazon for 151 dollars. For the espada XL. Did you find any where else that it might be cheaper? Thanks Kyle

I've been attempting for a few days now to center the blade of the Espada XL G10. The pivot screw is fully rotated clockwise. The blade is still not centered. Please, sir, do you have any thoughts or recommendations for me? I offer my heartfelt gratitude.
Was the blade off-centre from new or after taking apart to clean?
@@TacticalReviews In my case the blade was off-center when new, and I have the polished non-G10 version. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
@@manofsteal546 is it so off centre it rubs the handle liners? If so it might be best to return it.
If not, then how far off centre is it? Can you see any bend in the blade?

The blade at the tip would hit the liner and/or the metal outside the liner upon every closure. It was like that from day one, but seems to have drifted in the wrong direction over time. I have never taken it apart or adjusted it in any way. I have consistently guided the blade home with a small amount of thumb pressure in order to not damage the edge. It's my EDC, so I am reluctant to "return" it. Any additional or further advice? Thank you, regardless.
You can bend the whole knife a bit by using a counter top and using pressure in the opposite direction fix that.
Do you think it's impossible to carry this knife in a pocket?...how do you carry it? Thanks
daniel Dan this is not your typical EDC, I only carry it in the leg pocket of cargo pants. If I'm wearing something else without the leg pockets then this is not an option for me. (It is also OK in a large jacket pocket)
I carry this knife in either my front or back pants pockets. The handle does stick up about 2 inches over top of the front pocket. The back pocket carry is just enough room for the clip to attach.
It takes some getting use to the feeling of carrying a large knife, but is second nature now.
Where I live it’s legal to carry almost any blade concealed or openly

Yes that really is part of my pocket...that's a good enough sacrifice to the cause, at least it wasn't a finger.

There is a common misconception that UK knife laws prevents ownership of most knives, and even many UK residents mistakenly think this is the case (mainly thanks to the 'popular media'). The Espada XL is a very large folding lock knife, and there are no problems with this at all. @@JohnB-dr8sk Where do you live? 'Concealed' or not is irrelevant. UK Law requires 'good reason' to have a lock knife like the Espada XL with you in a public place. Going to the shops is not good reason, clearing a trail on a country walk would be good reason. So as long as you have good reason, yes it is legal to carry an Espada XL in the UK.

I love the knife but fell asleep at the 5minute mark.
It's an absolute shame to coat this blade. The intention of this knife is to intimidate the shit out of a bad guy, and in this role nothing comes close to the glint of polished steel.
I agree 100% The Espada is the best tactical folder ever made and I own the polished one. It has all the attributes a good combat knife needs.
1. Fast, instant deployment due to the large pocket catch.
2. Long blade. A fighting knife should be at least 5 inches long since your primary target is the opponents hand holding the knife. Plus all slashes will be deeper.
3. It has a good weight for striking and the momentum drives the blade deeper into the flesh.
4. The handle gives you two great gripping options, extending reach even further to 8+ inches.
5. It is razor sharp
6. The size will intimidate the crap out of most attackers. I was threatened once by a guy holding a broken bottle. When I rapidly deployed it he took off.
I carry mine every day.
