- You got your small, medium, large, and extra large blades to choose for carry. And then you got this thing. Is there such a thing as "too much cutting edge"? Let's discuss it in this video.

This baby is my go to EDC and sleeps on my nightstand!!
That's where we are at!! It's the apocalypse dude wake up.😮
I got one because my partner got me a spyderco bug for my birthday. So even though in hindsight I maybe would’ve gotten the cold steel spartan for practical use, I still think this will be a fun one to carry around the house or just have for general tasks like breaking down boxes while still giving it the respect it deserves
I'm in process of collecting all the XL Cold Steel models I can get my hands on! I carry the recon 1 spearpoint and shield 9mm.
Rock solid setup.
That's funny I similarly have a few CS I like to carry either the louzon or xl tanto Voyager with a sd9 2.0! Poor mans EDC 😂
Cold Steel Counterpoint XL, perfect grip shape, perfect blade length.
That Recon1 with the orange handle scales is awesome. I hope Santabot brings me one this Xmas.
I cannot worry about looks while protecting my life or the life of others
Effing damn straight, man. And my Mossy M590A1 (00 Remington buckshot loaded) and Espada XL (not to mention other thingies I own...) have been an excellent investment in order not to see my loved ones suffer any damages in the hands of others.
You will never pay enough to achieve that.
"from the sublime to the ridiculous", it's like those star size comparison videos, fun for all
Cant wait for mine to get here!!!!
Now I'm waiting for my ruby red
I EDC this beast!
I edc 2 of them
Double trouble!
If I had a third arm I'd carry 3. A triple threat.
I bought three, always EDC one of them. 😂🤷♂️
As of today, I have the Voyager XL with Clip point blade 5.5 inches. Two Luzon's with large blade 6 inches long, and the Rajah 2 with a khukuri style blade, 6 inches long. I've been arguing with myself over getting that HUGE Espada, but now maybe not. The Rajah 2 is plenty big enough. You make some good points.
He does have some good points but Lynn Thompson says it best that a large blade can do what a smaller blade can but not the other way around. You could skin a mouse if you needed to....but you could also skin an elephant!
I've carried the XL Espada, just because I could. No practical purpose whatsoever. Now, the LG Espada, I frequently carry. It's an excellent martial blade! I'm a city boy. Former EMT, now ER tech and I know exactly what kind of carnage people are capable of. And btw, the knife is a back up, not my primary defensive choice so, what better back up than a very, capable blade... Great video btw ❤!
I EDC 2 XL Espada's 😂
A true man of culture! The world would be a better place if we all carried more like that :)
They are no more gimmicks of jokes than large knives, or swords. They aren't for carry. They are fun weapons to carry around the house and property. They can also be used for solo martial arts practice.
But its funny when criminals do turn up at the House and property.
I still giggle at that headline where that dude got stabbed with the Legend of Zelda Master sword.
Paint the handle pink on one side with with LGBTQ colors on the other, and you will be acquitted by the Jury Asap!
Genius? I think so.
There’s no such thing as too much Cold Steel, unless someone is a homosexual.
There are a lot of those in the knife world. The people who say "it's literally impossible to defend yourself, you must always run away."
@sigiligus the criminal can run away to the morgue after you pump him with 30 stabs, lol
@@ubcroel4022 See how Big those knives are? 1 Hit probably is enough. L or XL. won't matter.
I think you are wrong about your method of thinking.
Yeah that is for who kinda stuff other than that, just a knife enthusiast would appreciate it. I most certainly do not recommend carrying unless your in bear country and even then good luck cus bears will kill you.
stop allready its nothing new i have 3
come on this is just a knife
In my opinion this is literally too big. I can barely fit my 6-inch Ti-Lite in most of my pants pockets, and this is way bigger. And if you're going to tuck it into your waistband, you might as well just stuff a Natchez Bowie in there. Also consider that this knife really needs to be waved off the pocket in order to work as intended. Nobody is going to stand around waiting for you to pluck it from your waistband and carefully open it, possibly with two hands. Furthermore, consider if an assailant is already basically on top of you. You need clearance to deploy and use this knife, which you often won't have. It's great for intimidating someone if you notice you're being followed to your car, but if you're already aware of your situation, you have plenty of time to bring out a far more useful deterrent such as a gun or pepper spray (pepper spray may be non-lethal but it has massive stopping power). A knife is only really good for if you're already being attacked in close quarters.
