    Looks awesome dude! I was considering LED conversion on my '03. Had a lady when I was at petrol station the other day do the "excuse me, I think you have a headlight out". :p

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL It never gets old.. just more annoying... hehe.. I think that the 03-06 RRs might even be easier since I believe there is a rubber boot on the back of your headlight right? Tripage has a kit for it I'm sure

    • @ozhondamotovlogs1873
      @ozhondamotovlogs1873 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      dafobra Yeah, rubber boot. Tripage is awesome for mods. Just cost of shipping etc to Australia, and needing money for more priorities than my toys. 😂

    I've been waiting for this video! Thanks! Install doesn't look too bad, I can say from personal experience that I bet the hardest part is those damn fairings lol. I already have the dual headlight module from Tripage and I can say they make some really good stuff :)

    • @b0nes95
      @b0nes95 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bro, I got aftermarket fairings, and just looking at this video it makes me sad I have to go through the process of the fairings again...
      Actually, any work on my bike requires that.

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      that stinks.. I have heard both good and bad about aftermarket fairings.. mine are in mint shape but I have thought about swapping to a modified factory scheme I designed... but.. gunshy because of experiences like this...

    • @b0nes95
      @b0nes95 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd definitely say go for it. Make sure you have all the right bolts and after a few times it'll have adjusted better and it'll go better. It's nice to not have to be scared to fall or break your own fairings, AND, itll probably look awesome with your own design.
      Good luck.

      @@b0nes95 that is exactly what I am thinking, if it tips or anything and the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000R fairings are Stupid expensive!!! Plus own colour and design scheme, Hotbodies after-market ones were 50% off last week at Sportbike Track Gear. These different lights and Peg Bracket turn signals are really cool, just sending the brackets o the States, and not being able to ride while I wait, Victoria is year round riding. Not worried about flashing the brights into cars, they can't use the, "I didn't see him" BS that way.

    • @AdamSVT

      yessir.. I always kept my high beams on during the day (and sometimes at night because I didn't like the single headlight look at night for visibility)

    @th3s41nt 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    ok so I followed this video mostly and everything was spot on! although I managed to get it done by just removing the inner side fairing and the corner piece by the headlight. its very tight but everything came together nicely I really love the solid white/blue look compared to the yellow and the dual headlight is super sweet! gives the bike a fresh new look! can't wait to take her out on a date!

  • @Dygear

    Now I really want LED headlights. I just got some KTM OEM turn signals, EU spec for the RC390. Thinking of doing a full conversion over to the EU spec of the bike light wise. That means, LED turn signals in the mirror baby! This video might of given me the push I need to make all of that happen.

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Tomlin that would be cool. You out riding yet?

    • @Dygear
      @Dygear 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      dafobra I was, but shock of all shocks the KTM broke down again. I hope to have it back up and running for operation cheese cake. It's going to make that trip this year! It's going to happen! Engine seized while I was on the meadowbrook. Rear tire locked but I managed to get the clutch in before I went over. I also got to the next exit, but there's a hole in the engine somewhere. It's at Gold Coast for the warranted repair.

  • @Just1MoreMod
    @Just1MoreMod 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Gotta give ton of thanks to dafobra for this video, it really helped a lot!! Only recommendation I would make to a future installer would be to drill the "breather holes" before you put the headlights back into the bike. This way you can put the dust covers on first, then put the entire unit in together instead of having to fumble around with getting the covers to line up. Plus if you need to adjust the bulb further down into the housing, you can do that then as well.
    Check out a quick video I made of Tripage Dual LED Headlights I just put on. Pick these up CBR Folks!! This should be the second mod you do right after a fender eliminator. It's that GOOD of a change!

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.. worked a lot on this vid... super happy with the headlights.. I'm no HID expert.. but had a set on a previous car and on a bike.. these are instant on and the control boxes don't heat up like some ballasts.

    • @TRexTravis
      @TRexTravis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      dafobra thats the only thing i worry about with my hid headlights is the heat from the ballasts since both of them are tucked between my windshield and dash cluster. So far they haven't damaged anything in the 2 years theyve been there 😊

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you'd be fine then... as long as they are getting some ventilation that's good. The LED control boxes have heat sinks designed into them but after running the headlights for a few minutes they were barely lukewarm to the touch...

    • @TRexTravis
      @TRexTravis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice! See the instant on would be the best selling point for anyone who has stock bulbs. Yeah it may not be a ton of ventilation as the 13 R1s have such a sealed of nose but id say it has to be enough. Keep up the good work as always brother!

  • @2WheelDerness
    @2WheelDerness 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    The high beam mirror is spreading the light (led is more powerful than halogen) and is a pain for incoming traffic. The safest way and legal way to instal xenon or LED lights is by using a projector which is focusing the light on the road. I did the same thing but with projectors and nobody is flashing me anymore.

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      that's true... that is the best way.. but this was really good as well. FWIW.. nobody ever flashed me...

  • @Absolute_Unit135
    @Absolute_Unit135 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    While this kit is affordable and looks fantastic, isn’t it annoyingly bright to oncoming traffic since the “high beam” headlights housing projects the light higher up...? That’s the main thing holding me back from buying this kit

    • @CapeVoice
      @CapeVoice 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm glad you finally went with them, mark needs them too in his explorer. It inspires a lot of confidence at night as well. I love the no fire instant turn on. Not to mention how much light they throw for less power. Glad it's now becoming an industry standard with a lot of bike manufacturers. Increases safety and being able to see! Speaking of seeing, next time I come to NY, you'll see me on the KTM. Hopefully closing on the house in a few months!

    Wait bro so just to clarify before installing these LED’s you didn’t have a low beam and high beam ? Because I’ve had HID’s on my cbr since I bought the bike and they went just went out on me but whenever I’d use my headlights I’d always have only the high beams on and never had an option to change between the two. I’m hoping if I order these LED’s like I heard you say I’ll now have high beams and low beams like I should have?

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Living My Best Life just to clarify... the CBR like most dual headlight Honda bikes, has one side as the low beam and one side as the high beam. On low beam only one side lights up, but on high beam both are on. Each bulb is single beam. This kit changes both sides to dual beams.. that is, low mean is both sides on low while high beam is both sides on high. Does that make sense?

    • @nofacenocase_304
      @nofacenocase_304 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      dafobra ok yea I get what you’re saying that does make sense. So if I installed those LED’s in my cbr I would have both headlights on during the day which would be low beams and when I turn my headlights on they would both just become brighter and those would be the high beams right ?

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Living My Best Life exactly.. on low beam 2 sides of the LEDs light up on each.. on high kk 4 sides of the LEDs light up

  • @twisted5544
    @twisted5544 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I thought an led bulb is just that a bulb, that can replace the original. This here was harder than I thought.

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bulb is.. yeah.. and it uses a driver,, but the CBR600RR use a single high and single low beam stock.. this kit also changes it to dual high and dual low.. pretty cool.

    sir...how do you compare led vs HID?

    • @AdamSVT
      @AdamSVT  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had a single H4 hi/low HID on my 2000 CBR600F4 and it did work well.. I liked it for visibility and light output much like the LED.. I always worried about the voltage spike of the ballasts when I would turn the bike on plus the heat they products.. as such you have to put them somewhere where cold air will wash over them to keep them cool and not near plastics. The LEDs do pretty much the same thing without heat and IMO they throw a cleaner light. I'm no HID expert.. just based on my experience with the two kits.

    • @MaKZaSeKoGaS8
      @MaKZaSeKoGaS8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      dafobra yeah..i get that..i uste two h7 (35w each)...when i cold start my bike i can feel some difference before hid kit (harder starting up the bike)..probably because of the power hid's consume at start...i will remove them soon and ill try the leds or ill stick with the stocks..i think leds are safe bet! thanks
