I got my 23 1500 LT Back in in August of 2023. I now have 35K miles on it, and it has been great! last July, I made a trip from Portland, Or to Moab, UT. What an awesome ride that was. I also have been towing my 6000# travel trailer all over Oregon and Washington State, and that has been great experience as well. My 8spd trans does the same shift from 2nd down to 1st when rolling to a stop, its clunky.
That's awesome! They're great trucks. Ahh, yes. The first to second kick down. Almost feels like someone is bump you. Guess it just does that at a crawl.
Good choice .I got a 24 Chevy Silverado in june of this year. I use it to tow my Cruze to SEMA this year ( Albertacruze ). I towed the car and trailer no problems. also great on gas.
Good choice! The 2.7Ls turbo is impressive for OEM unit. I'd like to see this engine in a newer Gen camaro or Pontiac solstice type car. Tune with sequential injection/ more boost and see what its made of. Enough power for fun, good mileage for cruising. I like it.
They're definitely impressive for what they are. My girlfriend got a Traverse. Same engine, but the 2.5 variant. Guessing less stroke in them. It moves that SUV well.
Sorry I'm late been on a trip. Congrats brotha, hope your happy with it. Newer chevys not my cup of tea, I've always got problems with them. But that's my opinion & experience. Long as your good is what counts
I have the same truck in Lakeshore Blue. I couldn’t justify the mark up for the V8, seems funny to me that the 5.3 was standard equipment. But for the price, power out put, towing capacity and how often I use it to tow I felt like it was the perfect truck. I have zero complaints with my truck and have just over 15k miles on it.
@matt Passenger side firewall to chassis ground. It’s directly behind the front passenger tire. Covered by a fender liner. Don’t wait- replace it right now with a 14” shielded 4 gage wire- NAPA has them in stock on the shelf. The factory ground is a breaded copper wire, it turns to dust with any moister. Is causes all the modules to fault- trailer brake controll, steering, trans. And the dealer protocol for repair is to quote you replacing all the modules instead of checking the ground strap first. I’ve seen techs test driving these trucks to diagnose the issue and the steer assist faulting and jerking the steering wheel out of their hands.
New to Your Channel hope to see the Truck vids more often Good Job on the Post 🎉🛻 P.s. I got My 2024 TurboRado this past July 2024 now at 12,000 Miles Towed few Things from North to South LOVE IT! Chevy did it's thing with this L3Beast Turbo 💯 #ChevroletTrucks
@cmattdabrat well maybe a Boost pull in the Truck (I know I know it's a "Truck" heavy But Trust Me it's Fun and Few Burnouts in the TurboRado are Fun too) Thanks Brother from a Local HOU Fan 😎🤘🏽🏙️ 🛻💨
There is a 1/4 mile track near Beaumont, but you'll have to check and see if they're still open. Technically it's in Evadale which would still be quite the drive for you but still a lot less than 4 hours.
I can't imagine a full size truck with such a small engine nevermind towing. 165 cid? 80-90s mini-truck sure, but a full size (like F150 or C10/1500), especially with how bloated they are now.
Not a bad a idea. I've thought about this and did some research. From my understanding, they revised the 2024 oil separator system to be more effect and a catch can isn't needed, but who knows how true that is. I'll install one and see how much it catches.
@ my 2020 Si was said to have one of the best pcv systems of any direct injected car and when its cold out, I still get about an oz every week or two. Its just cheap insurance and while it may or may not actually do anything, it just gives me some piece of mind. Plus the stuff that you empty out is nasty. It looks like coffee and smells of the BP oil spill😂
"For the channel" nudge nudge wink wink. "But honey, it's for the channel not for me!" I like your style. And as someone who lives in Florida with a black car(s), I can honestly say definitely a good call on NOT getting the black truck. It suuuuucks in the car in this southern heat. My next car will be white. Lol. Also, can these be tuned? I wouldn't chase power as far as intake/exhaust/etc, but a tune would really wake this up I bet. My Edge Sport has a 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost, and it gained 100HP and like 120 ft/lbs of torque with a tune alone. I bet that plus a trans tune would really help towing and gas mileage as well as that all important power. Warranty might be suspect at that point though. Congrats Matt! (Do you prefer Matt or Matthew? I can never tell.)
Hahaha, more like, hey IRS, this is a business write off. ;) Tell me about it. During the summer, gets too hot to want to do anything, aside from travel up north.
Nice video. I actually bought a 2025 colorado LT but went back and traded for a 2.7 turbomax 2025 Silverado 1500 Custom. The rebates are so good it helped me trade.
You'll be replacing your fuel pump control module soon.. I pick up at least five to six Chevrolet vehicles a day including the Silverado suburban tahoes escalades Buick enclave Chevy equinoxes pretty much every Chevy vehicle in production right now are dropping like flies towing them left and right because of the fuel pump module

Nice! About to load up the Cruze here in a but to go to the track.

Appreciate that, I'm digging it so far.

Nice! The 2.7 definitely, from test driving, has more torque down low. Barely takes any gas to get going. Love my truck.

Welcome aboard! What kind of videos would you like to see on it?

I'll have to check it out! Thanks!
@cmattdabrat I just looked it up, it appears to still be open and it's called evadale raceway.
@@JosefTrull I did as well! I'll have to make a trip out there one of these weekends.
I have JB4 MAP2 on my canyon with 10k miles has been a beast!
Nice! Loving my truck thus far.
Congrats 🍾!!!!
Thanks!
Congratulations 😮

It pulls like a diesel for it's size.
216k milage. Tow 7800lbs regularly. No issues.
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback.
If its direct injected, make sure to get a catch can

Thanks! I feel you. I wouldn't have got it if it weren't for the rebates. 50k+ for these, IMO, not worth it. $36-$38k though, now you got a buyer.
Nice truck.
Thanks!

Just had a "recall" service on it a few weeks ago. Should be good to go.
@cmattdabrat 🤞
와우! 👍👏
in Denmark its 90000 dollars😂
Yikes!
LOL, you'll hate it in 2 months or less!!!😂😂😂
I've had it since May. :) Still love it.
the new 2.7 sucks no power at all compare to the old one
There's literally no difference aside from a more powerful tune.
