due to the minimum scale of SF ship parts, instead of say tie, it might be closer to focus on say the sith character ship from SWtOR as that is closer to the scale of ship SF likes, with interior and maybe some of the other SWtOR and KotOR ships
dude modders are gonna add thousands of modules to create what ever you want from warhammer to star wars etc.... trust me, once the creation kit is out it won't take long

I understand the struggle I also spent a day on a ship build as well, you sit there get it almost done and then are like no I can do it better. This repeats over and over again. I had a build almost perfect until I found out there is a total module limit which caused me to once again restart the build. Keep up the good work.
I can vouch for the star destroyer. It can be done and it looks incredible. Be warned it isn't plain sailing it took me around 4 hours following the tutorial and messing with the finicky engines. Be advised before building this ship requires about 400,000 credits. I haven't unlocked the reactor or grav drive yet due to level, so I'm using cheaper alternatives. Thanks for the assist Swanny

Some Parts are currently bugged and not showing up at outpost for me like I'll have the parts for Portside but not Starboard I'm also maxed in Starship Design and Piloting you may have to visit the respective systems to get all the parts needed
I'd love to see the Gozanti Class Cruiser or even the arquitens-class light cruiser. I remember seeing one design somewhere in the reddit but there were no tutorials to make one. Love the work your make on this game, keep it up
Another idea that may also be a bit easier than the ISD type. What about the Raider II class Corvette SD A.K.A. the Corvus from Battlefront II? That would an awesome one
Have yet to touch the ship building process because 20 hours in and I’m a broke boy 😂. This look absolutely phenomenal! One of the best I’ve seen of these ships. Beautifully detailed and reminds you of em, of course the tie fighter is hard, but damn you pulled it off. Now with modders…imagine a moon modded as a Deathstar… “that’s no moon”

One thing I would love to see is the ability to add ‘crew clothing’ where you visit a vendor and purchase a bulk package containing crew outfits for your crew with a special captain/first mate themed outfits to match it
8:55 Ayy fun fact, there is a Mod called shipyard unlocked, and Shipyard unrestricted. One lets you build ships as long and big as you one, the other lets you put as many reactors, and shields as you want
You may be aware but others might not but I noticed that you are using a lot of hull "structure" modules or 1x1 habs. Just a helpful tip to slim down your mass, you can use 2x1 & 3x1 habs in place of using those structure mods. This will save you a small amount of mass. For example 2 hull mods cost 10 mass while a 2x1 hab uses only 8 and serve the same purpose. Not a huge difference but if your using a lot mass adds up fast.

These are amazing. The highlight of my gaming is just sitting there build crafting. I would love it if you could try and build the normandy from the mass effect games. So far that has been a struggle for me.
The Star Destroyer looks like a lego starship. My suggestion are Imperial Raider class corvette or Gozanti light cruiser will fit Starflield.😅 A Carrack light cruiser also good one too.😊
While I do really appreciate the attempt at any kind of TIE fighter, I feel like we'll have to wait for modding in order to get stuff closer to how that works, since those are VERY compact ships. That being said, an attempt was made with what was available, and it kind of works. The TIE Reaper might be a better option for this builder.

first thing, there is a mod that allows as many shields on your ship as you want, 2nd thing great job on the ships. "I got lost for 10 mins" yep! my biggest grip with extremely large ships, especially as we only have ladders which are slow when you have 4-5 floors, we need stairs or a lift for our ships.
I did build by me self the star wars Venator with 20hrs+ and the Falcon with 12hrs+. Both build 1st as minimal skillet with all needed basic parts at my spaceport and then with save scamming i checked all the insides from the parts from all ship vendors and building up part for part my ships, i also got the Slave One but it needs more polish.. Your ships look great the most i like the chancellor ship👍
I feel like the Star Destroyer could’ve been bigger and more angular; but this is fucking awesome and I’m going to try my hardest to to get it a little more angular and less round.
the ship building mods are gonna be nice especially if one of the SSM's (starfield shipbuilding mods) allows for stargate's goa'uld vessels or same franchise the ori signet ring ship.
I know its not something thats too difficult but it'd be cool to see a recognizer from tron legacy. I could do it myself but itd be cool to see ur take on it

The ship technician guy who stands near the landing pad where your ship is (New Atlantis) you speak to him and select the option to "View and modify my ships" there you can start modding your ship but do remember you will need both Pilot skill rank 4 (To pilot C class ships) and starship design rank 4 (To equip the best C class parts) plus you have to be level 60 or above for the best parts to become available Oh yeah and make sure you have TONS of credits because building ships are not cheap especially building a legendary C class ship from scratch (Yes you can build your own Legendary ships with the right parts) your looking around 200K-400K+ credits so be sure to be "Fat" on credits

And since we don't have outright numerical system Tab 1 Top(how many ticks from far right or left)= Mid= Bottom= And color 1, color 2, color 3 If you could gimme that it would be awesome haha 😄 I really wish they had a better system for inputting color codes in....kinda like phantasy star new genesis where it's 3 boxes that numerically correspond to color box/sliders

If you want to access all the ship parts you've unblocked so far, build a landing zone in your outpost and you'll have access to all the parts.
I did and all parts that's showcased in the video, is not showing up for me.

the defiant is going to be tough since it has alot of rounded parts and edges, it was made for stealth iirc.
It was starfleets first primarily combat built ship. It did have a cloaking device but it was mainly built and designed to fight the borg.

They need to add some sort of ship building code system.
I think a couple of other games have a similar feature with a character creation code system.
