I feel like the entire reason Kit Harington was in this movie is because one of the writers was into a VERY SPECIFIC type of GoT fanfic and wanted to hear him say "I love you Cersei"

Once again, it’s nice that an Avenger-level threat doesn’t concern the Avengers enough to get involved so the movie can happen. But to be fair, the Avengers are pretty busy with PTSD support groups and finding watches.
As much as I hate the amount of plot-holes, I imagine a cosmic-sized alien robot thingy emerging from underground in a matter of minutes unannounced, would catch virtually everyone off-guard... like who/what would you send in response? Doubt even Captain Marvel would be of much help 🤔

More like, conflict breed progress. A healer, mind controller, engineer, alchemist, illusionist story teller, they could all serve for catalyst for progress, of how a village would turn into a city, to a city state, kingdoms, empire, nation , etc. Oh well, watch too many scishow history.
Obviously, the Eternals, while in the MCU, is based on actually history. So, they can't change MCU history in a way that makes MCU alien to modern society. It's kind of limiting for the plot that they're trying to pitch.

A whole Eternals arc might have actually been interesting. If not a TV show, they could still have used their formula to build up to an "infinity war/endgame" film. Right now the post endgame thing seems aimless to me.
@@dakat5131 Exactly. I know after the pitch meeting, it sounds repetitive, but this would fit better as a Disney+ show. Could have 12 episodes, introducing each one of the Eternals. Their past, their beliefs, moral codes, the way they interact with one another, etc, and on the ending have them coming together against a bigger threat. This feels like that Netflix doc about Michael Schumacher. It could've benefitted more from another type of midia. Although Schumacher had much more love and care than Eternals, as I said to my friend, it's like Disney kidnapped Chloe Zhao's family in order for her to direct the movie lol

I think the Thanos theory is also linked to “he who remains” which shows that the population would be restored by the humans which is why they didn’t have to interfere
Plausible, but I don't think so. He Who Remains knew the outcome before Thanos was even born so didn't need to interfere. But the Celestials don't seem to be time travelers or outside of time. They're also not very worried about halving a population once. They work on galactic timescales so a one-off event that sets the timer back by a few centuries is nothing compared to the millions of years they wait for a species to evolve and hopefully gain intelligence.

But Ajak, who knew what their purpose was didn't know that the Avengers were going to undo the snap because the blip was what inspired her to switch sides and betray the Celestials. So then why didn't she try and stop Thanos? Also why did the Celestial basically allow Thanos to delay their plan by 5 years? Surely a Celestial wouldn't be afraid of the TVA.
I actually do think this could have worked as a season of a show, each episode looking for the others, fighting deviants on the way, showing flashbacks, then trying to solve how to stop the celestial from rising without going against their duties, let Kit Harrington get some screen time, let the evolving deviant be a bigger threat, let the twists hit harder
Kumail wasn´t just "pranked" with not having a shirtless scene, he gained all them muscles to be the biggest coward in the movie... They got him twice XD
So true. We need an Honest Trailer of this where every time one of the Stark brothers mentions Sersi it cuts to Cersei Lannister. Jon Snow saying "I love you, Sersi" was the highlight of the film.
Eternals feels like something early DC would do to catch up with Marvel, cramming a bunch of admittedly interesting characters and complex plot points into one gigantic movie that honestly leaves you feeling meh by the end.

Disney should have made Falcon and Winter Solider a movie and Eternals a series, I personally really enjoyed the movie but it undoubtedly would have benefited more as a series.

My favorite part of The Eternals is where they show you things you should care about before showing you why you should care about them. You know… like Icarus and that other eternal breaking up before we knew they were dating, deviants being able to heal themselfs before We knew they cant do that, that one eternal dying before we knew who tf she was

Here are the main problems with your argument: 1) Comic book popularity does not necessarily translate into cinematic popularity. Case in point: Guardians of the Galaxy. Massively popular movies of a team that few people cared that much for. Also, Shang-Chi. 2) Shang-Chi has a 92% critics score and 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (not so good on IMDB though), and made more than 400 million USD during a pandemic. I don't particularly care about those things nor do I use them to judge a movie, but I'm just bringing them up to ask you wtf are you on about? 3) Cult followings are, by definition, niche followings, and therefore do not, by themselves, make movies "work", especially in what concerns financial and critical success. By all accounts, the Ghost Rider movies were both pretty bad and flopped, and the "cult" status of the character barely helped. 4) To Marvel's standards, The Eternals might not be as successful, but literally the only movies to have topped it this year are other Marvel movies, plus Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which although a Sony movie, still loosely connects to the MCU, and is still a Marvel (or Disney) property with Marvel characters. 5) Despite the obvious fact that there would've been more time to develop all 10 characters in a series, the script did great in juggling them all without making any of them appear one-dimensional (a bit of an accidental pun here) with its natural time constraints. Snyder did much worse in his 4 hour cut of JL, for example. Sure, that's subjective, but I stand by it.
@@RicardoPetinga I think you are smoking crack if you think this movie that only really focused on 2 eternals gave everyone enough screen time. In Justice League the only character who needed more time was Superman, but at least his excuse was he was dead. In this movie some characters didn’t even get their present day characters shown until the last act. One was murdered at the start of the movie and we didn’t see why she was important until the final act! Some things were done well in this movie, like Icarus’ character arc and the actual plot of which way the eternals will side, for earth or the celestials, but unfortunately this 3 hour movie did not do anything to make me care for any character besides Gilgamesh or Kingo’s producer.
I'm surprised no one pointed that the Emergence plan was exactly the same as Ego's plan from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. And these Eternals needed to sync up together to put the Celestial to sleep, but Mantis was able to do it single handedly.
Most likely because Ego wasn't a full Celestial, if one at all. Given this movie, I can imagine that he was one of the celestial seeds, but never got implanted in a planet/ the planet got destroyed before he emerged, and thus does not have the powers of an actual Celetial. It would explain why he was drifting in space.

I found it funny when in the movie, they mentioned Superman and "Clark" by name and I was wondering, "Are they allowed to say that?" Then I realized the Eternals' powers seem very familiar.
We should drop hints about DC comics so we can get them into the MCU. How? By having our character comparing our ripoff Superman to the real Superman about wearing capes.

The CW Flash, and other DC, referenced Marvel all the time. The Distinguished Competition, as Stan Lee called them, are iconic. It's fine in either direction to acknowledge that.
they should've made it into 2 parts. 1st movie: introducing the eternals and vs the evolving deviants. at the end of the movie, it reveals the actual purpose of the eternals. the evolved deviants should live. 2nd movie should be about stopping the emergence of Tiamut. Conflicts among the eternals happen. then Ikarus revealed as the main villain. the evolved deviant return and help the eternal to stop the emergence. possible 3rd movie is about the return of deviants species but freed from the shackles of the emergence cycles.
Honestly with a cast of 9 Eternals they might need 2 intro movies to do it decently. I mean each of the Avengers got their own intro movie, even Guardians really only introduced 5 “main” characters in one movie.
The first past should gave taken place on a different planet 3 thousand years ago. And Tiamat should have actually succeeded in being born and destroying an entire planet, the movie ending with their minds being erased and brought to Earth. Definitely NOT making the Eternals responsible for every religion and technological advancement of humanity. Then the second movie could have been them rebelling against the big Robot dude and becoming heroes.
I was literally blown away when they revealed that essentially these 10 random aliens had controlled almost every aspect of human life (living creating and giving them tools such as ploughs and engines) for the last 7,000 years, and then they just did not deal with that fact at all

A lot of people are being influenced by the Rotten Tomatoes Critic score which is mostly just Art House critics bothered that an Arthouse directed made a run of the mill MCU movie. You can see this when so many of the reviews are mentioning the Director's previous films which are unlike anything the MCU could or should do

The deviant evolving plot line was sooooo interesting they could’ve done so much with that oh my god! When Thena killed him I was like am I supposed to be glad ???? Could he not be reasoned with?? Missed opportunity for something cool!!
The way he was killed was so uneventful, almost as bad as being killed off screen that I honestly thought they were going to show either duplicates of him or more evolved versions of him just like with Ultron, but that wasn't case, I guess.

Exactly. There are two movies in this film and the deviant was a casualty of their battle. My guess is originally druid sicced the deviants on the others at his camp instead of doing a heel turn.
At this point, it does make more sense for the MCU to move the bulk of its scripts to Disney+ shows, and keep the big screen events for crossovers and tent pole features. TV series make more sense in that every episode is an "issue" of that comic.
imo TV series are the flexibility they needed to have for stuff like the bigger events- instead of trying to cram the whole thing into a 2 hour movie. Hopefully they start doing more of those, even if it is more filming (total length)
@Robert Monroe exactly. Not everything needs a TV show to work. I think Eternals did a solid job showing and developing new characters. I mean better than Black Widow and Shang-Chi.

The point that got me was at the end when the celestial abducts the eternals, rather easily and effortlessly, why didn't he just do that with all the deviants when they started evolving instead of creating the eternals and having this ongoing battle over millennia where that one kid's dad has to get eaten for effect? Poor guy..
I just assume for the same reason the head honcho of a buisness/corporation isn't going downstairs everyday to get everyone's lunch order and then driving to pick up food for the whole company. Because there is important high-level stuff they have to do and there are only so manybhours in the day, so you delegate the less important stuff amd menial chores to the rank and file.

While I did like the movie, I actually went and read up on the back story stuff, and it makes a lot more sense in the comics. For one thing, Deviants and Eternals are actually a bit different. Eternals can reproduce, and they really do all have the same powers basically, but some of them specialized a power further. Deviants are actually a lot more similar to the eternals in the comics. In fact, that one deviant you saw in the movie that was evolving? He and Thena have a relationship and CHILDREN in the comics. So there is WAY more to the Eternals and I do think the writers could have done better in re-imagining them, but overall I still enjoyed the story.
@@cameronnebe considering how different the Eternals are in the comics to the movies I don't think that's applicable here. Though I do agree that the celestial not just coming down to deal with the deviants himself makes sense, as it's heavy implied that he's sent thousands of celestials to all different planets
This was a thing of beauty. I'm so glad I didn't spoil this pitch meeting by watching the movie first. I agree with Producer Guy, it really seems like they should have split it up into several movies featuring a few of the characters each, or better yet, a series.
I watched the movie and no I don't think this could become a good series. Movie is just fine. Half the characters have better development than Hulk, Hawkeye and Widow in Avengers 1.

Marvel: We ended up with a lot of Avengers over a lengthy series of developing stories, should be fine to create just as many new characters in a single, new, and completely unrelated film.
Honestly thought Ikarus literally flying into the sun was kinda overkill. Thought he was going to fly off world and just go through self isolation. Later try to atone for his actions. They could bring the actor back it the wanted to. Just say he's a different model of eternal and that he goes by the name Hyperion.
@@benjamincoyle5316 Yeah; his name being Dane didn't immediately ring a bell - but I could tell throughout the movie that they were setting him up for something. They gave him all the classic dramatic shots and moments of potential courage they usually get for establishing a character.
Fun fact: In the comics, the Eternals do have all the powers but each one has a specialty. The movie just gives them their specialty as their only power to maintain tension. That being said, while I loved the movie, I totally agree this would've been better as a Disney+ series with more time to expand on the characters.
I haven't watched the movie and don't know anything about the characters but I've got a strong feeling that this guys are just like Shazam's brothers where each one had a power and they all need to work together to beat something. So I'm with zero hype for these generic heroes and foes. Shazam worked great 'cause that wasn't the focus, if it started with everyone from the beginning, I think it would suck as well.
Would've worked even better to have that Disney+ series on Netflix about seven years ago, so that whole not fighting half-deviant Thanos wouldn't be a massive plothole sitting on top of the Eternals....
It's pretty smart that they turn Sprite into a human because the actress is obviously gonna grow old and not be a "7000-year-old in a 12-year-old body". and Sprite is the only one who's smiling in the wedding of Ikaris and Sersi
So they introduced the concept and did away with it immediately. I bet they are going to mention it once in 5 years with little to no impact on the plot.
@@laurocoman Um... as OG stated they literally can't have Sprite in any sequels while still being an Eternal because the actress will have noticeably aged by then. They would either have to use those awful de-aging effects in all of her scenes or shoot all the footage they'd need RIGHT NOW, so I think making her human is the best option. Plus having an immortal being learning how to be human is more interesting.
I was wondering how they were going to have her in future movies, maybe shape shifting older or something, but then they turned her human and I was like, "oh." It fit with her character anyways so why not 😂
So in Marvel actually had a "swimsuit special" in the early 90s with characters posing and everything. They made the second issue canon by saying that the infinity watch played a game of poker for a chance to use the infinity gems to make a wish. Pip won and used the wish to throw a beach party on Monster Island. After the party Pip wiped everyone's minds but Pip took some photos of the party to keep for himself if you catch my drift. So yeah, that's a "fun" fact about Pip the Troll.

Why would someone ever consider giving some of them (his soldiers) disabilities, such as being deaf. In the middle of a fight may be a lot more difficult to call for help or warn your team mate of dangers behind them if they are deaf... Not only would it make more sense to give not give any flaw(s) (if that's possible), you would want to make them as powerful as possible, with all the powers, all of them.

This pitch is honestly spot on XD. If you really want and engaged, heartwarming film, this isn't for you. But if you're cool with sitting in disbelief and taking the small wins along with the random nonsense while making jokes with your friends, you should watch it.
I think Eternals would have done better if it was introduced in a separate universe from the avengers... because everyone is comparing them and theyll never match up. Also they should have taken time to introduce each character like they did with the avengers
You think they care? They got SO much diversity into this movie, this is a win for them. And a loss for everyone who likes good movies, but they don't care about money.
Im going to get hated for it but I actually preferred Eternals to Avengers. Better character sketches, far better powers, even the CGI and cinematography is a lot better and definitely a lot less cringe characters with 100 cuts every fight scene.

The Avengers were so diverse, they had a genius tech guy, a superhuman monster, a God, a superspy, a super soldier and a secret agent who is an archer. The eternals are all just members of a same species and they're dressed in different colors of the same outfit. How is that better? Better powers: Eternals powers are just Justice League powers. I don't know which comic came first but I personally don't think Justice League is better than Avengers. CGI: Are you kidding me? You can literally see how the old CGI was much better than the current ones. Compare the Hulk from Avengers to the Deviants in the Eternals. Hulk actually looks like a human being who became bigger. The Chitauri look like monsters and their armor looks convincingly metal. Humans look human, monsters look monster and metal looks metal. Compare that to Eternals where everything looks like rubber from the Eternals suit, to their ship to the Deviants and somehow even the lights which they use to show their powers. Cinematography: Okay at this point, I'm convinced you're a Troll. Eternals had a great concept, I'll give you that but that's only because of the comic that it's based on. The execution of it was really bad. Avengers had much better Cinematography mostly because all the characters had been introduced already.

Once again, it’s nice that an Avenger-level threat doesn’t concern the Avengers enough to get involved so the movie can happen. But to be fair, the Avengers are pretty busy with PTSD support groups and finding watches.

Obviously, the Eternals, while in the MCU, is based on actually history. So, they can't change MCU history in a way that makes MCU alien to modern society. It's kind of limiting for the plot that they're trying to pitch.

Their past, their beliefs, moral codes, the way they interact with one another, etc, and on the ending have them coming together against a bigger threat. This feels like that Netflix doc about Michael Schumacher. It could've benefitted more from another type of midia. Although Schumacher had much more love and care than Eternals, as I said to my friend, it's like Disney kidnapped Chloe Zhao's family in order for her to direct the movie lol

I think the Thanos theory is also linked to “he who remains” which shows that the population would be restored by the humans which is why they didn’t have to interfere
Plausible, but I don't think so. He Who Remains knew the outcome before Thanos was even born so didn't need to interfere. But the Celestials don't seem to be time travelers or outside of time. They're also not very worried about halving a population once. They work on galactic timescales so a one-off event that sets the timer back by a few centuries is nothing compared to the millions of years they wait for a species to evolve and hopefully gain intelligence.

I actually do think this could have worked as a season of a show, each episode looking for the others, fighting deviants on the way, showing flashbacks, then trying to solve how to stop the celestial from rising without going against their duties, let Kit Harrington get some screen time, let the evolving deviant be a bigger threat, let the twists hit harder

1) Comic book popularity does not necessarily translate into cinematic popularity. Case in point: Guardians of the Galaxy. Massively popular movies of a team that few people cared that much for. Also, Shang-Chi.
2) Shang-Chi has a 92% critics score and 98% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes (not so good on IMDB though), and made more than 400 million USD during a pandemic. I don't particularly care about those things nor do I use them to judge a movie, but I'm just bringing them up to ask you wtf are you on about?
3) Cult followings are, by definition, niche followings, and therefore do not, by themselves, make movies "work", especially in what concerns financial and critical success. By all accounts, the Ghost Rider movies were both pretty bad and flopped, and the "cult" status of the character barely helped.
4) To Marvel's standards, The Eternals might not be as successful, but literally the only movies to have topped it this year are other Marvel movies, plus Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which although a Sony movie, still loosely connects to the MCU, and is still a Marvel (or Disney) property with Marvel characters.
5) Despite the obvious fact that there would've been more time to develop all 10 characters in a series, the script did great in juggling them all without making any of them appear one-dimensional (a bit of an accidental pun here) with its natural time constraints. Snyder did much worse in his 4 hour cut of JL, for example. Sure, that's subjective, but I stand by it.
@@RicardoPetinga I think you are smoking crack if you think this movie that only really focused on 2 eternals gave everyone enough screen time. In Justice League the only character who needed more time was Superman, but at least his excuse was he was dead. In this movie some characters didn’t even get their present day characters shown until the last act. One was murdered at the start of the movie and we didn’t see why she was important until the final act! Some things were done well in this movie, like Icarus’ character arc and the actual plot of which way the eternals will side, for earth or the celestials, but unfortunately this 3 hour movie did not do anything to make me care for any character besides Gilgamesh or Kingo’s producer.
I'm surprised no one pointed that the Emergence plan was exactly the same as Ego's plan from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. And these Eternals needed to sync up together to put the Celestial to sleep, but Mantis was able to do it single handedly.
Most likely because Ego wasn't a full Celestial, if one at all. Given this movie, I can imagine that he was one of the celestial seeds, but never got implanted in a planet/ the planet got destroyed before he emerged, and thus does not have the powers of an actual Celetial. It would explain why he was drifting in space.
The Eternals didn't "put the Celestial to sleep". It was, quite literally, turned into stone and killed. BIG difference.

The CW Flash, and other DC, referenced Marvel all the time. The Distinguished Competition, as Stan Lee called them, are iconic. It's fine in either direction to acknowledge that.

they should've made it into 2 parts.
1st movie: introducing the eternals and vs the evolving deviants. at the end of the movie, it reveals the actual purpose of the eternals. the evolved deviants should live.
2nd movie should be about stopping the emergence of Tiamut. Conflicts among the eternals happen. then Ikarus revealed as the main villain. the evolved deviant return and help the eternal to stop the emergence.
possible 3rd movie is about the return of deviants species but freed from the shackles of the emergence cycles.
Honestly with a cast of 9 Eternals they might need 2 intro movies to do it decently. I mean each of the Avengers got their own intro movie, even Guardians really only introduced 5 “main” characters in one movie.

The first past should gave taken place on a different planet 3 thousand years ago.
And Tiamat should have actually succeeded in being born and destroying an entire planet, the movie ending with their minds being erased and brought to Earth.

Make the 1st movie a D+ series that leads to the 2nd movie back to back. The Series give the time to build the characters up.

I was literally blown away when they revealed that essentially these 10 random aliens had controlled almost every aspect of human life (living creating and giving them tools such as ploughs and engines) for the last 7,000 years, and then they just did not deal with that fact at all

A lot of people are being influenced by the Rotten Tomatoes Critic score which is mostly just Art House critics bothered that an Arthouse directed made a run of the mill MCU movie. You can see this when so many of the reviews are mentioning the Director's previous films which are unlike anything the MCU could or should do

The deviant evolving plot line was sooooo interesting they could’ve done so much with that oh my god! When Thena killed him I was like am I supposed to be glad ???? Could he not be reasoned with?? Missed opportunity for something cool!!
The way he was killed was so uneventful, almost as bad as being killed off screen that I honestly thought they were going to show either duplicates of him or more evolved versions of him just like with Ultron, but that wasn't case, I guess.
I think its the biggest misstep of the movie. He should have JOINED them to stop the Celestial. Wasn’t he supposed to be evolving too?

This project definitely had potential, but it's impressive that they managed to make something so long, that still had plot holes in it.

It's because it was never made as a cohesive concept but a bunch of smaller concepts taped together.
I think Zach Snyder proved that a long movie in the hands of an incompetent writer just means you have more time for plot holes.
At this point, it does make more sense for the MCU to move the bulk of its scripts to Disney+ shows, and keep the big screen events for crossovers and tent pole features. TV series make more sense in that every episode is an "issue" of that comic.
imo TV series are the flexibility they needed to have for stuff like the bigger events- instead of trying to cram the whole thing into a 2 hour movie. Hopefully they start doing more of those, even if it is more filming (total length)

This resonates with me so much. I had this thought thru the entire movie. That movie had too much going on for me to care about anything after the 1st hour.
I was only like 1/3 of the way into the movie when I thought, “this probably should have been a Disney+ series.” Glad to know I’m not the only person who thought that.
The point that got me was at the end when the celestial abducts the eternals, rather easily and effortlessly, why didn't he just do that with all the deviants when they started evolving instead of creating the eternals and having this ongoing battle over millennia where that one kid's dad has to get eaten for effect? Poor guy..
I just assume for the same reason the head honcho of a buisness/corporation isn't going downstairs everyday to get everyone's lunch order and then driving to pick up food for the whole company. Because there is important high-level stuff they have to do and there are only so manybhours in the day, so you delegate the less important stuff amd menial chores to the rank and file.

While I did like the movie, I actually went and read up on the back story stuff, and it makes a lot more sense in the comics. For one thing, Deviants and Eternals are actually a bit different. Eternals can reproduce, and they really do all have the same powers basically, but some of them specialized a power further. Deviants are actually a lot more similar to the eternals in the comics. In fact, that one deviant you saw in the movie that was evolving? He and Thena have a relationship and CHILDREN in the comics.
So there is WAY more to the Eternals and I do think the writers could have done better in re-imagining them, but overall I still enjoyed the story.
Maybe the recall function got removed when they started evolving by themselves.

Though I do agree that the celestial not just coming down to deal with the deviants himself makes sense, as it's heavy implied that he's sent thousands of celestials to all different planets

I watched the movie and no I don't think this could become a good series. Movie is just fine. Half the characters have better development than Hulk, Hawkeye and Widow in Avengers 1.

They could bring the actor back it the wanted to. Just say he's a different model of eternal and that he goes by the name Hyperion.

@@benjamincoyle5316 Yeah; his name being Dane didn't immediately ring a bell - but I could tell throughout the movie that they were setting him up for something. They gave him all the classic dramatic shots and moments of potential courage they usually get for establishing a character.
Fun fact: In the comics, the Eternals do have all the powers but each one has a specialty. The movie just gives them their specialty as their only power to maintain tension. That being said, while I loved the movie, I totally agree this would've been better as a Disney+ series with more time to expand on the characters.

I haven't watched the movie and don't know anything about the characters but I've got a strong feeling that this guys are just like Shazam's brothers where each one had a power and they all need to work together to beat something.
So I'm with zero hype for these generic heroes and foes.
Shazam worked great 'cause that wasn't the focus, if it started with everyone from the beginning, I think it would suck as well.
Would've worked even better to have that Disney+ series on Netflix about seven years ago, so that whole not fighting half-deviant Thanos wouldn't be a massive plothole sitting on top of the Eternals....

It's pretty smart that they turn Sprite into a human because the actress is obviously gonna grow old and not be a "7000-year-old in a 12-year-old body". and Sprite is the only one who's smiling in the wedding of Ikaris and Sersi
So they introduced the concept and did away with it immediately. I bet they are going to mention it once in 5 years with little to no impact on the plot.

Um... as OG stated they literally can't have Sprite in any sequels while still being an Eternal because the actress will have noticeably aged by then. They would either have to use those awful de-aging effects in all of her scenes or shoot all the footage they'd need RIGHT NOW, so I think making her human is the best option. Plus having an immortal being learning how to be human is more interesting.
I was wondering how they were going to have her in future movies, maybe shape shifting older or something, but then they turned her human and I was like, "oh." It fit with her character anyways so why not 😂

They made the second issue canon by saying that the infinity watch played a game of poker for a chance to use the infinity gems to make a wish. Pip won and used the wish to throw a beach party on Monster Island. After the party Pip wiped everyone's minds but Pip took some photos of the party to keep for himself if you catch my drift. So yeah, that's a "fun" fact about Pip the Troll.

Why would someone ever consider giving some of them (his soldiers) disabilities, such as being deaf. In the middle of a fight may be a lot more difficult to call for help or warn your team mate of dangers behind them if they are deaf... Not only would it make more sense to give not give any flaw(s) (if that's possible), you would want to make them as powerful as possible, with all the powers, all of them.

I think Eternals would have done better if it was introduced in a separate universe from the avengers... because everyone is comparing them and theyll never match up. Also they should have taken time to introduce each character like they did with the avengers

Im going to get hated for it but I actually preferred Eternals to Avengers. Better character sketches, far better powers, even the CGI and cinematography is a lot better and definitely a lot less cringe characters with 100 cuts every fight scene.

Better Character Sketches: No, absolutely not. The Avengers were so diverse, they had a genius tech guy, a superhuman monster, a God, a superspy, a super soldier and a secret agent who is an archer. The eternals are all just members of a same species and they're dressed in different colors of the same outfit. How is that better?
Better powers: Eternals powers are just Justice League powers. I don't know which comic came first but I personally don't think Justice League is better than Avengers.
CGI: Are you kidding me? You can literally see how the old CGI was much better than the current ones. Compare the Hulk from Avengers to the Deviants in the Eternals. Hulk actually looks like a human being who became bigger. The Chitauri look like monsters and their armor looks convincingly metal. Humans look human, monsters look monster and metal looks metal. Compare that to Eternals where everything looks like rubber from the Eternals suit, to their ship to the Deviants and somehow even the lights which they use to show their powers.
Cinematography: Okay at this point, I'm convinced you're a Troll. Eternals had a great concept, I'll give you that but that's only because of the comic that it's based on. The execution of it was really bad. Avengers had much better Cinematography mostly because all the characters had been introduced already.
