While Im quite sad sedans are dying I myself see why one would go for an X3 for example. The X3 handles sporty enough for the regular dude like me but gives ground clearence and extra space inside.
@@Errost5they are. In America they are already dead. In my country, India due to bad roads, they are 80% dead and slowly but surely declining even further. And in here (where I live, Australia), Sedan was never even a choice for people. Most people I see in Australia have Hilux from Toyota. *Sedans are really dying world wide, maybe not yet in Europe*
@@Errost5 I'm pretty sure what you said is true, but if you did a little research you would find that in the 1980s to early 2000s Sedan sale rate was around 50-60%. Now it is around 20%. That shows.

How much money do you loose on this car if you buy new. After three years how much is it worth? I would be inclined if I wanted it to buy it after it is three or four years old. Have any of the people who test cars on here brought this car new?
It's always better to wait a couple years to buy cars like this as they depreciate very quickly. The only cars that don't depreciate like crazy nowadays are the top end sports cars like Porsche
They aren't really that great in daily use though, or at least I don't think so. Some functions that you use daily take a lot longer than they used to plus you have to take your eyes off the road to activate them. Looks truly amazing, I grant them, but it's a (major) downgrade when it comes to functionality I think. The gauge cluster is worse than the center infotainment screen though, only one visualization option, with a rev counter that goes the opposite way. No round, traditional dials to choose from or any other dials for that matter. Plus not very customizable (though more so than non-LCI) and a bit of a random placement of the different icons around the screen, making it very crowded. And also, why the heck did they take away the 8 shortcut buttons? That is truly idiotic, they were amazing and unique to BMW. Overall, not a big fan except for the looks. Some brands like Audi and Porsche do it much better. And this is coming from a BMW fanboy that hasn't had another brand for 20 years. iDrive 6 and 7 was peak functionality I think
My dad has it on his car (320e touring m pack) and I don’t think it’s bad at all. The boutons were really useful tho and are ideed missed. Although, I think it’s quite good ergonomically. Once you learned it, it’s great. Got back into a prefacelift m340d touring and it honestly looked like a way older car. Much more messy interior. I think a middle ground could have been found.
@@BinaryBlueBull Did you try it out yet or are you just guessing. You are writing this like you use this all day, but at the other hand your telling like you never used it. idrive 8 is great in daily use. I like it way more then 7. I even liked 6 more then 7.
@@matyi63 I disagree with the fact that the ergonomics are good, or at least that they're as good as before. I do have to mention I've only had it for a little over 3 months so I assume muscle memory will improve still. And most of the things I mention I can live with but the fact that you have to take your eyes off the road for climate controls and the disappearance of the shortcut buttons I think are major downsides. And yes, the climate controls have an auto mode but I don't use that, I like to manually control it but I admit auto mode alleviates much of this. It does really look good though, very premium and futuristic
@@Errost5 You can disagree with people without insinuating they're lying you know? I don't have to prove anything to you but here you go: BMW 330e M-sport LCI in Portimao blue received 3 months ago. So no, I did not try out this exact car, but I do have one with an almost identical infotainment. I agree that 6 (in some areas, like gauges and main menu layout) is better than 7 but disagree that 8 is better than 7, especially not with the disappearance of a whole bunch of buttons Of course this doesn't stop me from thinking these new 3-series are overall pretty amazing though. For road use they've become too ugly and for Autobahn there are plenty of other choices which accomplish the same task...
@@v12-s65 imagine you buy a e63s but its not enough so you need a gt63s. It just says enough right? M3 is the boss of its class compared to its competitors. There was a time that bmw was nothing against audi and benz tbh. But since the G generation its the best what you can get for its priceclass.
@@v12-s65 whatever do you mean? The M3 is the fastest car on a track in this size and price class.
Plus you can have fun on a track even in a low-power diesel shitbox. Why wouldn't you track a BMW?
@@buraksarikaya9798 what the hell are you even saying? Both the E63s and the GT are a class of it's own. That's like saying imagine you need a CS instead a normal M5 whatsoever. Make sense or move on with your silly comments. Faster is faster doesn't matter how and it's older.
Overall pre-facelift is just better. Need some Michelin or Conti rubber.
ContiSportContact7 and Pilot Sport 4s and the 2 best tires for the moment
I am still having Bridgestone Turanza, not a great fit. Will change it soon for M PS4s
Why did bmw mess up their best looking car ?
@@18thSTVATO it's a running gag
@@Cloud1969 I'd recommend you the Continental Sport Contact7. It outperformed the Michelin and mostly is cheaper
My 2020 with M performance exhaust with AA downpipe let’s just say race car sound. Cold start it sounds like a GT3
I have a 22 LCI in Brooklyn Grey and I love it!
yes it is the perfect daily .The german 2jz you will regret not buying a car with the B58 engine .im struggling to make my decision to get the MK5 Supra or a m240|340 .Seriously fast and tunable motor
7:20 - That's kinda how I felt about the X3 M40i we had for about a year. Great engine and handling, but just never could fully get used to (much less learn to love) the seemingly endless quirks and 'well I could fix it with X product or software coder' things. Esp. not for the price of entry.

do you use media mod for your gopro or color grading on a software if not what settings are you running? footage looks unreal and you're one of the few channels that actually care to deliver this type of quality content...
I love the 3er models a lot. One thing in the front is a little bit of a downer in my eyes. The grill does not look right... in my opinion. It looks a little too plasticish (is that a word). I saw this on the 1er and the 2er too. Thanks a lot for the good video.
That it can't hit the 250 is not really an issue. If you buy an BMW - you know you will be occationaly overtaken due to the limiter. Just happens. Also - Autobahn is not strait. Corner drive behaviour matters. There the 340M i/d is a serious asset, if you know how to use it.
Change the tyres' circumference to a bigger one if the speed seems different
I'd have the comfort of the 340i, it's just a great all rounder as Max said, I love it and added security it has X Drive.
Oh and forgot BMW's Silky 6cyl
I can not see how X-drive brings security except on snow.
You can hear the burbles from the outside too, it’s not just an artificial cabin sound
Best new daily driver on the market!
Mosquito addressed! On to the features
@Max. Great review. How comfortable are the m sport seats? The only thing i dont like is that it is “dead” in the center position of steering wheel
After watching this awesome review plus a few others, I couldn't help myself from placing an order for one of these.
.
I truly can't wait to have it delivered!
GOOD REVIEW, I WILL BUY THIS ONE. - BUSAN. SOUTH KOREA.
Besides all its pros, it also looks better than the M3
While Im quite sad sedans are dying I myself see why one would go for an X3 for example.
The X3 handles sporty enough for the regular dude like me but gives ground clearence and extra space inside.
sedans are dying?
Are you living in the us?
Sedans are definitely not "dying"
@@Errost5they are.
In America they are already dead.
In my country, India due to bad roads, they are 80% dead and slowly but surely declining even further.
And in here (where I live, Australia), Sedan was never even a choice for people.
Most people I see in Australia have Hilux from Toyota.
*Sedans are really dying world wide, maybe not yet in Europe*
@@ashtoncasedy3237 its around 20-25% sedans all year sold worldwide - sedans are not "dying" lmao
@@Errost5 I'm pretty sure what you said is true, but if you did a little research you would find that in the 1980s to early 2000s Sedan sale rate was around 50-60%.
Now it is around 20%.
That shows.
@@ashtoncasedy3237 yea no shit - because there are far more vehicle variants now.
Saying "sedans are dying" is just weird.
Its like saying water is dying because 200 years ago probably everyone was drinking water and today its only 50%(or whatever percentage)
Its extremly depending on the region you're living in. There are little to none trucks in the EU, while in the US are little to none station wagons.
12:38 can see how the ECU pulls back power and torque to stop you going faster
It's a nice car to look at 👌
Dream car
I have same seats in 2021 m340i prefacelift
The real dealer break is the having a clit to change gears and not a actual hear leaver
Fantastic content.
MAX!

if you put a tune on that engine. does the display also shown the increase in performance because it can measure it? or is it something programmed in the ECU and display only show what the engine SHOULD have for power that second? like a fake power meter?
yes, its fake
It calculates engine load, and the values is coded in, with earlier bmws tuners were able to change it, so it would show the correct power
@@Errost5 fake as opposed to what, having a literal dyno at the back of the engine? 😂
Of course it's estimated, how else would you do it?
@@xIcarus227 sigh. He was asking for it if its fake or not.
But no, its not that hard to measure. There are plenty of ways to measure it. You dont need to have an actual dyno for that
There are even "portable car dynos". Which may be not 100% accurate, but they are quite accurate and there are many garages out there which are using this kind of dyno.
@@Errost5 interesting, I didn't know about portable car dynos. Seems to be a small box that has to be inside the car but it's not clear to me how it measures power and torque.
The best car in the world, all compromises considered.
I am getting the 2019 M340I
Autobahn BLAST ✨
It’s a baby M3
Your review . The best. Would love to meet you personally in Germany. I’m from Malaysia . Take care. Cheers
I love my m340d lci the 700 nm is just fucking insane!
that BMW is so good
On point Max.👍
So many G20 you have on channel, but none 330d so far😢
Brilliant review of a brilliant car 👍
That cluster from the Mercedes W110... 🤣🤣🤣
BMW M-SPORT is the best.🔥🔥🔥
M3/M4 are livable enough to daily, the only reason you would pick this sucker is the price.
I rented one of these for a few days, and the fake pops are the worst thing I’ve ever heard in a car.
Gorgeous wheels
Only thing I dont like about the LCI is the rear bumper change
Monster car
Oh man, why is there a bmw in every video
Would love to have an optional upgrade which locks the speed at 280kmph or some.
Why is the P Zero not great? Intressed in your opinion cuzz I own a 330e with these tires.
Glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of the big screen setup. It looks cheap and uninspired.
What do you mean by 6.55 turnover during startup? Delay when starting up?
i really wish you could option out that stupid mild hybrid system. it adds like like 100 kg for just a little more power.
Make one of the new x3 m40i !!

Ok, danke für den Hinweis !
I can't get over how amazing the new BMW infotainment screens are. Especially during night time.
I agree that 6 (in some areas, like gauges and main menu layout) is better than 7 but disagree that 8 is better than 7, especially not with the disappearance of a whole bunch of buttons
Of course this doesn't stop me from thinking these new 3-series are overall pretty amazing though. The infotainment is just about the only real downside I have encountered. Love this car and I think the exterior looks better than the F-generation 3 series too
If LCI had upgraded its power steering to be dead in the centre, I am gunning pre-facelift then. I believe there are quite few one in dealers for sure
Same as in pre LCI
Unlock the DME you can go faster. It doesn't cost too much

Pirelli Pzero isn’t great, ok! Which tire do you suggest for that type of car?
I wasn’t expecting a murder scene. But what a car to be murdered by. RIP flying thing
