Correct, I am inclining less and less towards the importance of lap times, as nowadays almost everything is fast enough, but more so on the feeling / joy you get when driving.

Interessant wird dann auch der direkte Vergleich mit dem 718 GTS 4.0 bin gespannt ob Porsche diesen zulässt und wann? Der 718 GT4 ist wie jeder eigentlich wissen müsste, ein eher für die Straße als Fahrerauto mit manuellem Getriebe entwickelt worden, und weniger als Rundenzeitmonster für die Rennstrecke. Der bald erscheinende 718 GT4 RS mit PDK wird vermutlich dann all die Nörgler ruhigstellen, die hier meinen an einem so sensationellen Sportwagen wie dem GT4 herumnörgeln zu müssen. Wieviele komplett verdummte kleine Keyboardwarrior und ausschließlich Konsolen-Rennstreckenhelden scheinbar ernsthaft glauben, sich eine solche Kritik an so einem fantastischen Sportwagen erlauben zu können, ist schon fast krank. "Geschwindigkeit" im Kurveneingang ändert eben einfach alles! Du bringst jedes Auto zu einer gewissen "unneutralen" Fahrwerksreaktion, wenn du mit irrer Geschwindigkeit in die Kurven rein fährst! Aber ein so dümmlicher "Normalo" wie du würde mit diesem Auto eine Untersteuerreaktion des 718 GT4 eh niemals provozieren können, weil du das Limit dieses Autos nicht mal ansatzweise erreichen würdest, du saudummer Blödquatscher!

The car quite clearly had a lot of understeer...which is good for a novice, less good than neutral for a track car, or a decent driver.
Honestly..... disappointing lap time, considering M2CS or TTRS.... GT4 with its price tag, it’s unforgiving day2day qualities due to GT chassis construction, is expected to deliver better. Still, nice drivers car though!

Aber Porsche kommt ja nicht inne Pötte mit dem RS 😕 Der sollte letztes Jahr unterm Baum liegen. Die ziehen das künstlich so ewig raus. Hab schon überlegt das PDK einfach nachzurüsten. Aber 20000 € plus Arbeitskosten nur fürs PDK... Der RS bekommt ne von Porsche. Denk mal am Fahrwerk wird noch was gedreht. Die RS Modelle müssen ja auch nicht auf die 992er Rücksicht nehmen. Die dürfen liefern. GT3 RS darf ja kaum noch auf Strecken rauf. Der is einfach zu laut. Es sei denn man fährt diesen OPF Schrott mit sich rum 😂 Und 100000 € ist der nicht besser. 🤗
Car very good balance but drıven not very good driving. I think the manual gear shifting could not be better and harder braking can be done with this vehicle even better downshift.

Das Thema "Rundenzeit" wird aber dann sicherlich der bald erscheinende 718 GT4 RS mit seinem PDK viel klarer zu seinen Gunsten entscheiden! 420 Sauger-PS hier mit einem der weltbesten und effizientesten 3 Liter-Turbomotor mit 450 PS und viel mehr Drehmoment zu vergleichen ist auch etwas dämlich, findest du nicht auch...?!

The C8 has gone a long way to closing any gap the Cayman may have had on it in terms of driving dynamics. It seems they both have understeer issues though. I do think this price is pretty stratospheric, but people will pay it because it's a Porsche. I just wish the new Corvette had a proper transmission so I could row my own in an affordable mid engine car that sounds good.

True, but safety understeer is intentionally set up in the chassis from the manufacturer so the car doesnt overwhelm the driver

And the turbo engine in the M2 CS is a lot more powerful (torque, not just power)
Don't forget this car is manual. That takes a bit longer than the DCT on the M2 CS.

jogu123 M2 has a DCT, this is a manual. Makes 2 - 3 seconds on this track.

Turbo/ Drehmoment hin oder her , der M2CS wiegt aber auch 150KG mehr. 718.GT4 wiegt 80kg mehr als der alte 981.GT4
