The sound is fantastic! I have a 718 Cayman S Manual -2017 with tune stage 1 400hp. I have done GPS measures and 0-100 is under 4 seconds (best 3.8 seconds) 100-200 is 8.5 seconds (never over 8.8 seconds) on flatt road with 19' Michelin 4s tires. I can sometimes miss the sound from that 6 cylinder.
The good thing about a 718 is that you can actually keep the gas paddle pressed for some time without constantly going over the speed limit or breaking because of another car. With more PS you wouldn't hit max RPMs that often and not have that much fun - that's a struggle with cars like the 765LT for example. Can barely press the gas paddle for more than 5 seconds before it gets too dangerous or another car is infront of you.
Man the pulls in each gear are so long... it hurts the car's performance so bad. It's not even at the top of 6th when at VMax and it still has a 7th gear to go. Madness.
Ed Bratrud I drove the Cayman Gt 4 at the Porsche experience center in Los Angeles when I was considering buying one for myself. I was extremely disappointed in the acceleration because of the long second gear. I barely was able to get out of second gear for the ninety minutes I spent on the track. The exhaust system has multiple OPF particle filters and the engine sound is just horrible. This car is wildly over priced for the kind of performance it delivers. I decided to order a new Corvette instead, and after waiting sixteen months, I received it. What a wonderful car. It will run circles around the Porsche, costs about 30,000 dollars less and is a lot better looking car than the Cayman.
0-200 not even faster than 718GTS 2.5 stock. All that premium is for the "better sound" and a different chassis, which is not as trackable as a GT4RS. 718 Spyder is more justifiable if you are looking for fun drives given the similar price. For GT4 I'd just go straight to RS.
RS is another level. GTS 2.5 isn't faster stock and the GT4 is not a straight-line speed car anyway, the aero and extra weight will hurt its 0-100 time. The GTS 4.0 has the same engine and it's faster than old 2.5 GTS stock. Not by much though.
Sound of that engine is just pure eargasm!

Hahahaha yeah in your dreams, GPS 8.8.s with 400hp 🤣🤣🤣🤣GTFO here
@maticcro5992 Original 350hp ~9.6s 100-200 measured with gps. You can see yourself on fastestlaps... think it show ~10s there as original.
@@maticcro5992 check other vids. 718 GT4 does 8.6 100-200 many times (bone stock).
That gearbox is so fast !
You need to get your hands on a GT4 RS.
Perfect Perfect Perfect 🥰
Man idk why but i like 718 cayman even more than 911 992, it just looks so much better
@A good boys dream Its really not, it has enough power for slapping infiniti's in traffic, but yeah, on track 911 Turbo gonna win for sure

@@SpiriTBladE9i6 Exactly, but 765LT is a different breed, even 720s is too much for basically anything
It's a small (but not light) sports car. The 911 is a big gt car nowadays. Also this car and the gts 4.0 are faster than the base 911.
@Newycoder the car is fast enough for the street
bro that two truck at 1:44 is the reason i don't like to cross speed limit

epic video¡¡
Sounds exactly like my basic boxster with only 4 piston
Bei diesen Autos ist Beschleunigen soooo einfach :)
Ima little jealous
so stable above 200kmh
Porsche Cayenne c'est la meilleure même toi si je suis chez fort
👍
What do you high-speed youtubers actually do, when a general speed limit is introduced in Germany? 😎
big deal. did 302 in a 992 CS. maxing that model (GT4) out however, now that's what I'm talking about..
100-200 so slow? wtf
Bientôt fini les autoroutes illimitées malheureusement...
Don’t be mean…
No testdrive in auto please!
Why buy GT4 when you have GT4RS
(Because I bought one) 1. Its manual and 2. You can actually drive it at sensible speeds and enjoy it. Not everyone lives in Europe.
Because it costs at least 50% more and is 10 times harder to get an allocation for. It's like asking why buy a 488 if there is a LaFerrari...
because the rs costs double and no way to get an allocation you dummy
+ you don't need to wear earplugs in a GT4 :D
Gt4 is better than the rs in many ways

I very much doubt it will beat a GT4 around a track. Corvettes are great in a straight line, not so good around corners.
There is no substitute
it does the circles as long as the GT4 is standing still :D
Fast and overpriced.
not overpriced. There is a lot of car for the money.
