    I prefer the centered hud. I feel it makes it easier to keep an eye on health/resources/cooldowns without having to look away from the action.

    • @TobiasSherman
      @TobiasSherman 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      You would be surpised. The reason you think it's easier is b/c you have trained your eyes to go there. If you commit to 2 weeks the other way you may never go back after your eyes are re-trained.

      I greatly prefer the corner layout, but I use center to more easily monitor buff durations. Wish there was an option to move the buff & debuff bar.

    • @TobiasSherman
      @TobiasSherman 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@Voce24 EXACTLY, that would be the most ideal. ie Barrage Rogue with the combo strat. you need to see if your combo procs off 1 hit or 3.... Impossible to see in corner OR center.

      With the exception of cooldowns, we can now put health and resource bars above our character in S5 :). I would like some better cooldown monitoring options though for sure.

    I actually had the HUD on the left by default and moved it to the center.
    I find it way easier to keep track of my HP and cooldowns this way without having my eyes to bounce back and forth from the corner.

      Looking slightly down in the center also means less straining on the eyes than looking down in the left corner. It's in fact the natural resting position of the eyes.

    One thing not mentioned for the high contrast cursor is that the circle just below that setting lets you choose a color for the cursor. So if bright white isn't good enough you can change the color to something else. I made mine like a light blue/cyan type color and I find that helps me keep track of where my cursor is when things get crazy on screen with all the ground effects.

      @OwnModeGaming my game experience really did get 1000% better, but I might still need to tweak some options because the attack action trumps the pick-up action, so whenever I want to pick something up but there's an enemy within line of sight, it will prioritize attacking the enemy.
      I'll try the first couple of tips, those look useful. Thanks brother.

    7:40 just assign force move to the mouse scroll wheel, as you spin the wheel past each click it registers an individual force move, so you can unlock the wheel and spin it like the wheel of fortune

  • @leeterryjr
    @leeterryjr 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    I just set the mouse scroll wheel to force move & use it to move instead of clicking. It's something I learned from d3 & I also setup the num lock trick for putting my skills on auto. This allows me to spam all keys by scrolling on the wheel while holding shift, + both my mouse buttons down. All I do is watch my health & dodge while doing that with my current build. You can also set a custom crosshair color, which can be helpful to make it more visible at all times. If you are on PC, disabling cross play makes the game less laggy due to not having so much work. The result is you will see fewer players, but be unable to play/communicate with console users, & you might have to restart the game every time you want to change that option.

    For those unfamiliar with Diablo, the HUD has always been in the center since the first game. Modern games tend to put the HUD in the bottom left corner, so in D3 (I think) they added that option.

    • @OwnModeGaming

      Last non voluntary "nap" while gaming I was sitting with one foot under the thigh and 4h like that and the whole foot and ankle was totally numb.
      It took more than a week to get any feeling back and I can't tell you how many times I twisted/sprained it at first.
      Not recommended!
      Funny thing is that I ofc get the tip about sleeping in the bed is better and last year after someone gave that tip again I went to bed and I wake up the next day and my left hand was numb and unusable. The irony. 😂
      Lucky it wasn't my dominant hand since that took 4 or 5 months to go back to normal, this with my foot is 3x faster tho.
      And did someone say that sleeping when on the toilet is awesome? It's not. :>
      What's also fun is that I have sever insomnia but some days I fall asleep sitting quite easily. I'd never drive during those. But if I'm not alone I never fall asleep like that.
      Oh well I hope you got some laugh from this at least, I've accepted and don't mind that it's just a part of what makes me being me. 😊

    When you do the Windowed Fullscreen option, also scroll down in the tab and make sure to check Lock Cursor. This confines your cursor to the game window, and because you're windowed fullscreen Alt Tabbing will keep the game up on your main monitor while allowing you to penetrate the screen barrier to whatever you're doing on your side monitors. This way you can prevent from accidentally clicking on a bunch of furry pron while having an intense fight with Lillith. Or so my friend tells me could happen.

    • @OwnModeGaming

    Take this as a contribution to the vid. Some of these are much simpler to change. Some weren't exactly correct.
    First what I wouldn't agree on.
    Hud/left. You move the health bar all the way to the edge and it's right next to the resource one.
    Seeing that info easier is more important for me on HC, especially with 27" monitor and not sitting way back. Not worth it to maybe see something that's still far enough away and it is only when it's from that angle it does anything so left/right/up doesn't get any pro of using it, also left side gets blocked somewhat instead of the bottom so with that I think you can get why I'm not on the same page. It's worse if you have a resource closer in color to health it's easy to mistake one or the other. For SC then I can see the it being used, esthetic only tho.
    Windowed vs Full. With a dual monitor setup having the slightly faster time getting the game back in focus is worth it to use Windowed and it makes it smoother going back and forth between game/browser. You can just lock cursor and it's like Full-screen mode.
    Also full can often get hidden if you switch to browser and that's not very good for HC. Can't recall if D4 does that atm tho.
    If you have a slow PC Full will help with performance a little bit.
    Then what can be done in a more simple way.
    Don't need to remove combined buttons. Just bind something like mouse button 5 for force move, no need to change anything from the regular bindings you'd use unless you use mb5 for something already then just choose another one.
    For the rest they are okay and some are basic stuff people miss so it's good to remind about them. 👍
    Hope you don't mind some constructive critic. Much is personal preference, just not all. ❤

    The whole problem you're describing with the "combine move/interact?basic skill" option can be avoided by using a keybind to move. Been using the spacebar to move since Diablo II after a friend recommended it, and I haven't changed it since, still very nice way to play

      @@OwnModeGaming Exactly. I use a logitech mx master. It really changes the gaming experience. Moreover while channeling spells, you can cast protection without interurptions. It' really better than the keyboard. All I did was to setup the mouse driver to assign keys '1', '2', '3' and '4' to specific buttons.
      You could even assign four skills to slots 1-4 , allowing your character to fight with 6 different skills.

    Unless I did this before and forgot which is very possible, when I went on the PC to do this, half of these were turned or switched off and the HUD was left corner by default. This could be because I played on console 1st which maybe had most of these off by default. The ADvanced tool tips being off by default is just stupid IMO. I'm left handed, and it feels weird to have the lower left corner blocked for me. HUD on top would be a great idea. The game 'field' is tilted slightly so there's more screen space/visibility above than below. We really should have 7 HUD options (top, bottom, each corner, and off/very minimal, ie: just health/resource numbers and conditions/stacks/cooldowns).
    I definitely have clicked on my HUD when trying to kill things, though. It's a minor issue, but still an issue.

    • @jedirayden
      @jedirayden 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @OwnModeGaming On console/presumably on PC with 'roller, you CAN target your skills onto a specific enemy. It's tricky and imprecise (might try shifting the button layout to more closely match D3, if possible) but if you can get the boss/elite/desired target health bar to be the one displayed at the top, you click the right stick in to "lock on".
      In D3, you simply did the same with the health bar and then held down L2/Left Trigger to lock on. In D4, this button is your evade.
      Hope this is useful, to the OP or for your next settings video!
