Ya I've spent a ton on cheap rings too. Not only no mythics but not a single 3/4 star, non-less good aspect or something worth selling. The gambling rates seem to be down imo. Maybe it's just ancestral drop rate but Obols in particularly seem bad.
@@OwnModeGaming Sometimes I think newer characters have a "ninja" stat that helps the rolls. The higher you are and more you play it's like your % gets nerf'd. I've confirmed this in other games. It's hard telling about Diablo but game companies seem to all use each others methods.
@lcglazer you cannot pass gear between your eternal character to a seasonal character. At the end of the season all seasonal gear will go to the eternal realm.
@@OwnModeGaming just curious, I just got a staff that gives +% to Core attack speed. Does that only affect Core skills? Also does it affect, say a frozen orb, that I dont cast but shoots out on its own due to enchantment? Also am I supposed to be able to earn 71 natural skill points to use? I have 69.
PRO TIP: When Rune Crafting for Mythics, if you have any of the runes in your character's inventory when you right-click on the vendor to see the recipe, the game will show you how many of the runes needed for each recipe that you currently carry in your immediate inventory. Instead of keeping the runes I need for a recipe in my stash, I mark them as "unsalvagable" using the flag and keep them in my character's inventory. I then put ALL of the rest of the runes I DON'T need into my stash (or dispose of them). This way, I can check back with the vendor periodically to see if I have enough of the runes I need for a recipe to craft the Mythic I'm looking for. Carrying the runes on me means not having to constantly run back to my stash to count how many I have. Just make sure to flag the runes you need so you don't accidentally salvage them!
I carry only the runes needed for the recipe I want. You need 6 of each rune legendary, rare and magic. Then you can see from inventory without going to vendor to see if you have enough.
I haven't gotten the runes to craft a single Mythic this season and that's with combining them from two characters on both realms. Don't tell me to trade runes - the trading system is toxic.
Lil tip: if ever you decide to make a hardcore caracter, never and I mean EVER keep important stuff in your inventory, its like asking to l'ose all of it.
I am new to Diablo 4, but not new in life. My first experience in this game…when gambling went like this…. 1st try…click on each one and see what you get, spent a little cause only had a little…got a few items that didn’t help and were low power… 2nd try…was randomly clicking things, then got bored of this, and decided to spend them all…I clicked on each piece down the list and back up like hitting all the elevator buttons…I managed to match the algorithm…. I came out with 4 uniques, and a legendary who’s skills ALL…synced with eachother, and I even had 3 pairs of boots to choose from… it was the defining moment of this build…😳 Now, I am above the power curve as I go, and have a character build that is a dungeon wave/Boss deleting pro and I haven’t hit above paragon 200 yet… When I saw how detailed the build can get I realized how lucky I was with that gamble… The build works so well nothing can get thru… But them flies tho…😂
Gambling was nerfed about two weeks into the season and is pretty bad now. As for Mythics the good? news is that all Bosses seem to have about the same drop rate currently. I've "found" around 60 and the vast majority have been from something other than Duriel or Andariel. Salvaging them to forge another one - fishing for 2+GAs has been just another Blizzard exercise in disappointment though as two becomes one of another single GA invariably.
I have yet to get a mythic from gambling... I know it happens... but I legit got a mythic from a T2 boss and I wasn't even trying for it... it happened while I was testing my necro build after I reached lvl 60.. which I must say having access to all the paragpn even without any glyphs is killer... I also love that we can not only make and use the high lvl gems... but I love that we can give them to other players too....I also like that we can do the same with runes :)
Bossing is still king for sure. There is so much you can do to do your alts, it's awesome! I do love how giving this community is. A lot of my guild is just like that. We rush our mains and then help every get gear up. You are one of the good ones for sure 👍
what people need to understand is that content creators and regular gamers are in a diffreant space what works for content creators will not work for you just play the game as is and whateer will be will be if yits ment for you to have a mythic you woukld have it thats the way i approach this game
I understand how you got there, but we are still playing the same game. There are things that if you do them you will also get the same result. I got my first mythic in about 20hrs of gameplay and that includes taking my time with the campaign. I'm pretty efficient In my runs so let's double the time and say it takes 40. That is doable for most players over 3 months. Unless they do or focus on things that don't really help. At the end of the day I believe that the way you enjoy to play is the way you should play. There are a bunch of people that want more mythics and uniques quicker and I give them ways to do it.

@rokonman1460 You are welcome. Once you have done renown (in came and expansion), Lilith statues, main teleports with any character, seasonal or not, you never have to do them again. You will start with all the bonuses skill/paragon points, attribute points (STR, DEX, Etc), main town portals.
I’m a casual player. I completed Season 6 and the premium battle pass so I opened Torment 3. However my character is still too weak to stay in Torment 3 so my character is currently in Torment 2. I watched your entire video and really appreciate it. The most important thing I got out of it was that I noticed you can put a runeword in a weapon and in an armor on your character. That will definitely help me power up my Sorcerer. 😂
@ Yes it is. I thought I’d give it a try since the stat squish really messed up all my items that I was using on my Eternal character. To be honest, when that happened, I almost quit playing D4. I don’t have time to play as much as I want but I completed a season so I’m happy about that. Got the Soul Drinker set as a bonus. Love your videos. You should include that you can use a runeword in a weapon slot and an armor slot at the same time on the same character. I don’t know if you mentioned that in another video as I haven’t watched all of your videos. I just noticed it when you displayed your character in this video. Thank you for this information! I appreciate it! My Seasonal Character is a Spiritborn because I knew the class is currently OP. I wanted to complete the season as soon as possible since I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. I stopped playing that character. I actually took advantage of the Midwinter Blight and leveled up a Sorcerer in the Eternal realm which is what I’m using now. I didn’t know you can carry over the cosmetics from Seasonal characters as well as paragon points. So this sort of made up for the stat squish. However, I’m still upset that the items that I worked hard to get which includes Mythics were turned into garbage after the stat squish.
@@pmgpc69 Yeah, its rough when things change that much. It sounds like you had a good season. I do the same with the events. Love that xp bonus. As far as the runes, I haven't mentioned that in any video, but you can have two sets of glyphs and they can be in your weapon and armor or even both on two different pieces of armor.
I don't think that armor stat means what you think it means. It looks like the max you can mitigate is 85%, but that doesn't mean that you only need 1000 armor to do so. It says that at level 60, 1000 armor mitigates 85%, but I would think that as the Torment levels go up and you get armor reduction via the difficult level, then you need to have even more armor to still mitigate 85% of the damage. I suspect this is true because I took your advice and removed the stat on an item I had that gave me +65% armor and I had a hard time staying alive even in T3 infernals, let alone run of the pit. That aside, other things in here are helpful. I stopped using obols a long time ago, so burning through those to try and get new/upgraded aspects was a good one.
I've dug into the armor thing a lot and it's definitely capped at 1000 armor with a max of 85% reduction. Further reduction must come from somewhere else. Some builds benefit from increase armor because of secondary mechanics, but for most if you push past 1000 you are not getting any more benefit for those points. Hey bra. Great content, always. Question: if I use the scroll of restoration, does it only reset my Tempering? Or will it wipe my Master working as well?
It only resets tempering. Keep in mind that you can do that only once for an item. I've had cases were I rolled an affix with a low stat in the first few rolls and though "Lots of tries left, I'll try to get a better one" and never roller the correct affix affix again even after using the scroll :/
I played my boring centipede build to torment 2 until i was so stuck that i got bored with grinding. Now just fucking around with late season berserkerbuild. This is useful since i didn't really use that gambling. I uset bartering a lot. Yet no mythics..
I wasn't aware you could get mythics from gambling. I'll probably have to give that a shot. Hopefully it'll be a more sure-fire strat than bossing. Drop rates are absolutely atrocious this season.
In endgame it's a much better use of obols for sure. Bossing is still more controllable. Most of my mythical came from Bossing then gambling, then crafting, in that order.
I don’t know if this is the best way but I save 6 of each rune in my stash and any time I get 3 overflow I break them down. While I might not need a certain rune for my build someone else in the trade might need the ones I have. It’s a great way to trade for cash as well. I’m sitting on 2 billion from just rune trading.
Playing higher level torment doesn't improve your drop rate! You get more items and therefore more chances and it's not a lot more loot either. Scroll of restoration are always in the equipment chest in infernal horde. In t4 you get 2 every equipment chest.
Thanks for the video. it was very helpful. Does anyone know if the infernal compus has a limit to their drop chance? One day, I had like 20 of em. For the past 2 days, I've been grinding helltide chests and the pit constantly, and Barley got 3. So far today, I've gotten none 😢
@OwnModeGaming the keys needed to open infernal hordes gamemode, turned out you just use a seething opal of torment, and the infernal compasses drop like crazy.
The runes are bad but the random drop is worse. I agree with @thespookykitty good clans are awesome. Free boss runs, carries, free uniques. I got most of my needed runes from Bossing. It takes a lot of runs.

It took me years of many many hours dayli fsrming windforce in D2.... so whats wrong with lower myth drop rate ? Cause D4 has not enough to do then farming myth or not enough balance. Btw. i dont like the item system (white/blue/yellow items are worthless) and the dropsystem 😢 D2 got a rlly good balance.
Obols let you buy equipment opals. Equip that or boss mat opals when you run bosses. That said i hold 0 hope for getting mythics. I need ancestral gear more than mythics. The game gives you 2 resplendent sparks and i only need 1 mythic for my build but i need a lot more 21/21 aspects.
All good but you are Torment IV and your advice probably doesn't apply to the those at Torment II/III. You should mention which suggestions you make require the expansion purchase. Also the odds of getting an purple are extremely low when you gamba, correct?
Best in t4 for sure for most, but the gamble for uniques starts in t1. Mercs are only in expansion, everything else is general. Drop rate anywhere is low for purple.

Anyone know why blizzard stop giving us 1 measely spark for completing the season ,it was the only motivation I had as not a pro player to save up enough to get a mythic. And they took that possibility away ,I have 4 seasonal character and would have got 4 sparks last season ,enough to get 2 mythics and have a lot more fun playing this game ,some hope for my builds. But they robbed us this season and took away all our hope ,discusting
They robbed us this season by only giving us one guaranteed craftable mythic instead of a repeatable board for a single spark? I guarantee you that I’d be able to farm out more mythics from drops than you’d be able to farm in sparks. What they did was actually spare you from a timesink and you don’t even realize it
But if I want a mythic cap, wouldn't I be getting a higher chance in the treasure by gambling on caps than a possibility of getting a cap from a cheaper roll on a tunic?
yeah same, been ok getting from bosses although only one star ones so far… not 100% on what mythics are best for my current build so just storing them all atm
I played a lot to get enough runes and sparks for a mythic Hours of play getting enough gold to trade, because those runes never drop naturally. When I finally got it, I was deflated and dropped the game. The idea of grinding forever to get another mythic, or gods forbid, a good aspect, just hit me in the face. That and the fact all my innovative builds from the past got nerfed into oblivion because some players can't help but exploit the crap out of everything (and get enabled by the devs) really runbed me the wrong way. Blizzard just makes it hard for casuals to enjoy the game, it feels they only cater to those willing to spend their entire life ingame. Shame, because it's people like me who have a lot of disposable income to spend on skins, etc.
Ive spent the last month and have gambled at least 1mil obols and i have not gotten a single mythic unique. Im guessing the devs changed it at some point after you got yours. Either way, this is NOT a viable way to farm mythic uniques.
@OwnModeGaming i believe you. It makes sense to provide that path to obtain mythic uniques during launch. That would provide resplendent sparks and kick start rune trading and thereby give people incentive to start running undercity and engaging with the season activity realm walkers in order to farm runes to craft the mythics they really want. Those mechanics don't work without sparks. I think once a large number of players started being able to clear torment bosses in t3 and t4 they probably tightened that up.
I've rolled only 2 handed maces for my barb to get a 2 GA and it never happened I rolled 1 USELESS. 2 HANDED SWORD got a 3 GA. 2 handed maces with multiple gas dont exists haha
Exactly, who are the pros who obol gamble for mythics? As far as I'm concerned, mythics just appear when I'm doing the undercity-titan->boss run game loop, I don't even think about it. I have 50+ mythics this season.
Nope. After playing s6 two weeks I got almost 2 stash full of them. Then I stop game sucks. Already uninstaled. I hope all of you will find mythics, or better game, d4 is waste of time ATM
You mean other than doing Uber Bosses, Infernal Hordes, Realmwalkers, Undercity, and if you can find a few friends you could do the Citadel. I might even be missing a few things.
@@quantumleaper Ubers are for gearing up, IH are for gearing up, Realmwalkers are for gearing up, Undercity is for gearing up; and once you gear up, there's no endgame activities, sure, Citadel, if you want to party up, but aside from that, nothing...
Playing an op alt is pretty fun. I also enjoy testing different builds even with my main and having the mythics to do it right is awesome. I like clearing most of the material and then just playing with stuff I'm interested in, but I do get that there is a feeling with my main of all dressed up and no where to go 🤵♂️
@@OwnModeGaming Yes, build variety is great, choice of where and how to farm gear is great (bosses, IH, rwalkers, undercity, pit) but when you get all warmed up and geared, boom, wall; you can push pit (without any leaderboard)... They need to start pumping out endgame stuff not new season macguffins.

I was just going to enjoy them both.I really like aRPGs, but I do think a lot of D4 players aren't going to like POE 2. At the end of the day it's a very different game.
Spiritborn sucks. The game is RNG hell. RNG for gear. RNG to temper said gear…. More RNG to MW…. All the while every step along the way it’s possible to BRICK (trash) said item…. Yup…. It’s the no fun arpg…. Oh and I forgot to mention…. Hope PoE2 ends blizzards reign of thievery

It's just about the same for me and I have never gotten a mystic that way. In fact, I have only ever gotten mystics from torment bosses.

I have never ever ever gotten a mythic from Obol gambling and I have spent tens of thousands of obols at the vendor.
Thats crazy. My wife got her first around 2-3k obols. I got mine closer to about 10-15k is my guess.

I got my Shatter Vow mythic from gambling, I also got my Mythic Ring from an Uber Boss, and my Mythic chest from a random drop of a Wrold Boss.

Gamble so good. I was stuck with an underleveled overkill for months, but when I dumped all my obols into two handed maces I got 5 overkills in a row…

I generally delete them unless there is a character I want to mess around with in the eternal realm, but when I'm done I'll delete that one too.

Hey bra. Great content, always. Question: if I use the scroll of restoration, does it only reset my Tempering? Or will it wipe my Master working as well?
It only resets tempering. Keep in mind that you can do that only once for an item. I've had cases were I rolled an affix with a low stat in the first few rolls and though "Lots of tries left, I'll try to get a better one" and never roller the correct affix affix again even after using the scroll :/

I played my boring centipede build to torment 2 until i was so stuck that i got bored with grinding. Now just fucking around with late season berserkerbuild. This is useful since i didn't really use that gambling. I uset bartering a lot. Yet no mythics..

I wasn't aware you could get mythics from gambling. I'll probably have to give that a shot. Hopefully it'll be a more sure-fire strat than bossing. Drop rates are absolutely atrocious this season.
In endgame it's a much better use of obols for sure. Bossing is still more controllable. Most of my mythical came from Bossing then gambling, then crafting, in that order.
Got a shroud yesterday from gambling and got one from a pit today.
Drop rates are low but I got 1 other day even recorded it was rare for me
I don’t know if this is the best way but I save 6 of each rune in my stash and any time I get 3 overflow I break them down. While I might not need a certain rune for my build someone else in the trade might need the ones I have. It’s a great way to trade for cash as well. I’m sitting on 2 billion from just rune trading.

Playing higher level torment doesn't improve your drop rate! You get more items and therefore more chances and it's not a lot more loot either.
Scroll of restoration are always in the equipment chest in infernal horde. In t4 you get 2 every equipment chest.

I just got my first mythic after playing since day one I'm a solo player so it sucks but here to more gambling a fail so far
I got 2 mythics in a couple days, just farming hall of pertinent.

Are you talking about Mythics? If so bossing is the best way.
@OwnModeGaming the keys needed to open infernal hordes gamemode, turned out you just use a seething opal of torment, and the infernal compasses drop like crazy.
i don't get enough legendary runes to purchase mythics. they've made them crazy hard to find, especially because I won't participate in trades.
Get in a clan, my clan was passing them out like candy.
The runes are bad but the random drop is worse. I agree with @thespookykitty good clans are awesome. Free boss runs, carries, free uniques. I got most of my needed runes from Bossing. It takes a lot of runs.
You'll get more runes bossing than anywhere else. Try it.
I get them from tormented bosses and I don't trade. Did you get the expansion?

It took me years of many many hours dayli fsrming windforce in D2.... so whats wrong with lower myth drop rate ? Cause D4 has not enough to do then farming myth or not enough balance.
Btw. i dont like the item system (white/blue/yellow items are worthless) and the dropsystem 😢 D2 got a rlly good balance.
d2 does have a nice balance and I agree with getting rid of the white, blue and yellow.

Obols let you buy equipment opals. Equip that or boss mat opals when you run bosses.
That said i hold 0 hope for getting mythics. I need ancestral gear more than mythics. The game gives you 2 resplendent sparks and i only need 1 mythic for my build but i need a lot more 21/21 aspects.

All good but you are Torment IV and your advice probably doesn't apply to the those at Torment II/III. You should mention which suggestions you make require the expansion purchase. Also the odds of getting an purple are extremely low when you gamba, correct?
Best in t4 for sure for most, but the gamble for uniques starts in t1. Mercs are only in expansion, everything else is general. Drop rate anywhere is low for purple.
I am in Torment 2 and have not yet gotten 1 mythic in this game 😪disappointing to say the least

Anyone know why blizzard stop giving us 1 measely spark for completing the season ,it was the only motivation I had as not a pro player to save up enough to get a mythic. And they took that possibility away ,I have 4 seasonal character and would have got 4 sparks last season ,enough to get 2 mythics and have a lot more fun playing this game ,some hope for my builds. But they robbed us this season and took away all our hope ,discusting

I guarantee you that I’d be able to farm out more mythics from drops than you’d be able to farm in sparks. What they did was actually spare you from a timesink and you don’t even realize it

Nope. It's a random chance to get a random mythic.
I think the pool is the same regardless of what you are gambling on, its just a random mythic

This is the first season I didn’t get a mythic. T4. Did bosses. Gambled often. Have the sparks but not the right runes. Lost interest.

I played a lot to get enough runes and sparks for a mythic
Hours of play getting enough gold to trade, because those runes never drop naturally. When I finally got it, I was deflated and dropped the game. The idea of grinding forever to get another mythic, or gods forbid, a good aspect, just hit me in the face. That and the fact all my innovative builds from the past got nerfed into oblivion because some players can't help but exploit the crap out of everything (and get enabled by the devs) really runbed me the wrong way. Blizzard just makes it hard for casuals to enjoy the game, it feels they only cater to those willing to spend their entire life ingame. Shame, because it's people like me who have a lot of disposable income to spend on skins, etc.

Ive spent the last month and have gambled at least 1mil obols and i have not gotten a single mythic unique. Im guessing the devs changed it at some point after you got yours. Either way, this is NOT a viable way to farm mythic uniques.
It was solid, some people are still getting good results but I could see them having nerfed it.
@OwnModeGaming i believe you. It makes sense to provide that path to obtain mythic uniques during launch. That would provide resplendent sparks and kick start rune trading and thereby give people incentive to start running undercity and engaging with the season activity realm walkers in order to farm runes to craft the mythics they really want. Those mechanics don't work without sparks. I think once a large number of players started being able to clear torment bosses in t3 and t4 they probably tightened that up.
I've rolled only 2 handed maces for my barb to get a 2 GA and it never happened I rolled 1 USELESS. 2 HANDED SWORD got a 3 GA. 2 handed maces with multiple gas dont exists haha

It still could help but if you need to target a certain slot for uniques or legendaries you should definitely gamble those.

Exactly, who are the pros who obol gamble for mythics? As far as I'm concerned, mythics just appear when I'm doing the undercity-titan->boss run game loop, I don't even think about it. I have 50+ mythics this season.

You mean other than doing Uber Bosses, Infernal Hordes, Realmwalkers, Undercity, and if you can find a few friends you could do the Citadel. I might even be missing a few things.
@@quantumleaper Ubers are for gearing up, IH are for gearing up, Realmwalkers are for gearing up, Undercity is for gearing up; and once you gear up, there's no endgame activities, sure, Citadel, if you want to party up, but aside from that, nothing...
Playing an op alt is pretty fun. I also enjoy testing different builds even with my main and having the mythics to do it right is awesome. I like clearing most of the material and then just playing with stuff I'm interested in, but I do get that there is a feeling with my main of all dressed up and no where to go 🤵♂️
@@OwnModeGaming Yes, build variety is great, choice of where and how to farm gear is great (bosses, IH, rwalkers, undercity, pit) but when you get all warmed up and geared, boom, wall; you can push pit (without any leaderboard)...
They need to start pumping out endgame stuff not new season macguffins.

I was just going to enjoy them both.I really like aRPGs, but I do think a lot of D4 players aren't going to like POE 2. At the end of the day it's a very different game.

Guys mythics drop once every ten boss kills. Literally. Stop crying tgey don't drop enough. I can do 300 or 400 dury runs in 2.5 hours and get over 40 mythics. Not even being sarcastic.
I don't think it's 1 on 10, I did 30 plus runs on T4 Andariel and didn't see one. I think the luck is wildly swinging for each individual
