PCV issues: p0299, p0171, p1101, 1.4 turbo, Astra, Zafira, - a14net, a14nel, b14net

I found the faulghty hose connecting from inlet to turbo, got lots of power now but was still wondering why p1101 keeps coming back and why the membrame spews smoke with smoke detection. But now i know. I am happy! Customer probably wont be that happy after the expenses to get this fixed.

Thank you for making this video, my girlfriend has an astra 1.4 turbo had running issues took to a garage and told us it's the valve in the camshaft cover had a new one replaced expensive, then drove it away had problems again so that didn't fix it took it back had a new water pump fitted and apparently had the wrong gasket on it for the camshaft cover and that got changed, but I still have running issues with it I will check the hoses now thanks again.

Does a14xer engine has non-return valve in intake manifold or just has pcv valve in valve cover ? ( this is naturally aspirated engine )

Thanks for the informative videos. However, I checked the PCV and it seems to be damaged, but the membrane does not show any sucking, so it's OK according to your explanation. The engine burns oil and there is oil going out of the PCV. Could the issue be only with the PCV, or the membrane should be replaces as well? Thanks a lot.

Hello please answer,the hose at 1:52,if this hose check valve is faulty, this cause engine burns oil?and will turbo is gone faulty.because this intake manifold is fully oil,but my cover membrane is working well.just my crank ventilation hose check valve is faulty.whats the results of this check valve is faulty

Is it ok to sealed that valve under manifold and let boost phase's checkvalve do all the job?

HI, Thanks for the very informative set of 3 videos, helps to explain the squeaking I get when turning off my Meriva 1.4 turbo. It decreases and dies off after the engine has stopped turning, so I can now understand that it is likely to be excess pressure or vacuum bleeding off through a valve and spring. My very good Vauxhall garage did not know what was causing it!
Please can you tell me how much vacuum I should feel when removing the oil filler cap. I get a reasonable amount of vacuum, but how much is too much? There is no hissing from the oil separator vent on the cam cover, and no vacuum at that vent either, but I feel that the engine is using more oil than I would suspect ( it has only done 23,000 miles, 5 years old, service by main dealer all the time) and I think the fuel consumption has dropped since I got the car 4 years ago. The squeaking has been evident for about 2 years! Thought nothing of it, but am trying to check it whilst I still have some extra warranty left on the car.

you are wrong, the membrane alone can be replaced, I just did it. The old cap pried off when heated and I ve put a new membrane with new spring and glued a new round cap with High temp bicomponent. Poxipol works if you don t want to spend 10 bucks on a better glue. Also for the intake manifold there is a repair kit guranteed "for life" made by an american which costs 100 euro and takes 2 hours to install.
