you are wrong, the membrane alone can be replaced, I just did it. The old cap pried off when heated and I ve put a new membrane with new spring and glued a new round cap with High temp bicomponent. Poxipol works if you don t want to spend 10 bucks on a better glue. Also for the intake manifold there is a repair kit guranteed "for life" made by an american which costs 100 euro and takes 2 hours to install.

Hello, I want to ask you a question about the A14net engine. If the crank ventilation hose check valve is faulty, will this cause the engine to burn oil and oil to come from the intake manifold to the turbo? The hose code is gm55568267 at 2.04

Hello, so the car of my sisters had a P0299 code for some time now. And I just stumbled accross this problem. The valve at the turbo is okay. As soon as you suck on it you immediatly get a vacuum and cant suck any more. The valve on the inlet manifold is diffrent.....you can suck the air. Very hard but you can suck it (if I put a piece of tape over the hole in the head and suck you can see the tape getting sucked in) does that mean the valve is bad? Should it be like the other valve were you get a complete cut off when you try sucking?Because you can still see the orange tip if you look inside the manifold. Also there is quite a bit of oil resedue built up around the orange tip.....also do you maybe have a link to those reconditioned itake manifolds? I can only find new ones for 800€
Hi, I've got an Opel Corsa d with 1.2 petrol engine (A12XER). In my case, hot air comes out from the hole where the oils separation membrane is located, when engine is running in idle. Is it normal? I've doubts because I've oil leakage under the rocker cover, and even the ignition coil is covered with oil.
@@MechaNick_ yeah mine too, I have a 2016 chevy trax with that issue, I replaced all the pcv parts with new parts, and a used turbo, it doesn't whistle any more, but still smokes a lot under acceration, did you find a solution to this problem?
@@mikejones420 even after flushing the intercooler, it will smoke because you can't get out all of the oil, don't use brake cleaner. I took out the whole intercooler and let it sit on its side for a while.
Hi could you reply as fast as possible please. Like a while back i notised dried oil im my turbo outlet and now when iv seen ur video i think my non retirn valve to the turbo is broken so i ordered a new one. But is it bad that i have oil in my turbo and how do i clean it. It runs good so i guess its a little oil on the inlet walls. Cuz if there was oil in the turbo i would have destroyed the turbo right?
Hello, I've got P0171 and P1101 faults. I checked all 3 options and the non-return valve in the turbo hose was bad. I changed it with an used one, but it passes little air from the turbo side ( you can barely blow the air from that side in to the hose). My question is: should I bother to buy a new hose for 50eur? Could the system even feel such a small amount of air coming from the hose and turn on the check engine light?
For anyone who ended up on this video and guessing if there is a cheaper fix. Actually, the membrane can be fixed separately, but it requires to glue the cover back after the change. Moreover, there is a way to block non-return valve inside the intake manifold and construct own valve system with hoses outside the manifold. I'm not an expert on both questions but wanted to clarify it here. Google for more details!

Thanks for the videos, all your videos are very helpful! I plug the port on the head with my thump and when I try to blow on the manifold I just can't. cant blow air and can't suck too its completely blocked. What does this mean? Is it stuck closed? I have a very bad oil consumption and smoke from the exhaust on kickdowns. turbo is new. On idle there is no sucking from the seperator hole. when reving on idle some air is blowing from the seperator hole. Whats wrong with that car? Manifold? seperator ? or both? Thanks for the help!
What if we can blow air through the stub pipe and the air is forced back outwards so it seems as no air can freely flow through or sucked out what may be the problem
that's weird. I'm not a mechanic, but just by thinking about it, maybe the check valve is stuck or there's something clogging the manifold/hoses which is not good

Should you be able to suck any air out the stub pipe once the port is covered? I can blow air in freely and I can suck air out but not as much.
The oil separator is making a slight whistling sound and it it blowing a little... Not sucking.
But it's burning oil when accelerating

Just because you can blow a little bit doesn't mean the engine will. Replace the hose.
