Yeessss Moonspell!! So glad to see you doing an analysis of one of their songs. I love Moonspell, they were also the first metal band I saw live. They were touring the US with Katatonia and Daylight Dies. Way too many good songs to pick a favorite. Hope you do more Moonspell! Also, "I am an angel, who dresses in red", surely thats a coincidence...? 😉
That's awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed my choice of band for this analysis. Yes, I will discuss at least one more Moonspell song, I'm thinking Opium or Alma Mater. Haha good observation! The lyrics, the Irreligious cover, the holiday time - it was easy to pick my outfit for this one xD
You dressed appropriately. :) I'm portuguese, and I love Moonspell (well, the first three albums, anyway). Was a nice surprise to see you covering them. If you ever cover _Vampiria_ I'll be watching it, because it's my absolute favorite. Or _Of Dream And Drama,_ or _Opium._ Or any other. :)
Such a cutie and powerful interpretation. Introduce me to this new music. So powerful.. thank you once again. This is exactly what I hay been. Search for.
Before listening to it, let me just say that I'm so glad that you to chose to review this song! I feel a special pride about this album because, together with CoF's The Principle of Evil made Flesh, was one of the first metal CDs I've listened!! Happy new year!!!
That's awesome! It's such a beautiful album. I'm glad that, with Moonspell, I managed to find a band that fans of CoF listen to. I'll definitely analyse Moonspell again in the future. Happy new year!
Wahou. I'm so happy to see a full analyse of a Moonspell's song. I seen them live on January the 6th of 2004, at the Elysée Montmartre in Paris, exactly 20 years ago today, I think it is a sign that I discover your video today after reviewing one of your CoF analyses. I discover Moonspell with their album Sin/Pecado and as a portuguese descendant I wanted to learn more about those guys who came from my country. :D My fav songs are Magdalene, Vampiria, Mephisto (of course) and 2nd skin (the song that make me listen to Moonspell.) If i can suggest you something to listen, you can try the album "Anthem to the Welkin at dusk" from the band "Emperor". It is a master piece in the black metal scene. The intro of the album (the songs Alsvartr (The Oath) and Ye entrancemperium) is a masterpiece itself. Thank you for the analyses of the songs. Hope my english is not to bad.
Thank you so much for the great comment and for watching my videos! And sorry for the late reply. Haha that's great! And I love those Moonspell songs as well. As for "Anthems to the Welkin at dusk" - I listened to that album many years ago but I'm curious how I'll understand it now... it's amazing what time can do in shaping our perception and sharpening our critical thinking. I'll listen to it again, thank you for the great suggestion!
Unbelievable. Please keep going. Please don't stop. Your insight is valuable and beyond important. Understand. One thing. You might reach deep down and pull a man from the absolute. I'm actually a big fan of yours. Looking forward to your next upload. Respectfully yours.
Greetings from Portugal, Moonspell rules, great video analysis of this song, really like your style, you are amazingly beautiful and magnetic, I also write (but only for myself) and I like all this mystical, goth, romantic themes. Amazing. Keep it metal 🙂🤘
you can find the mephisto theme on kamelot two concept albums epica and the black halo; the opeth concept album still life talks about a person banished from his village for being an atheist.
Lovely reaction! I've seen them life about 15 years ago at Dutch festival 'Zwarte Cross' (in my own region), was amazing! I named once my cat after their epic song 'Vampiria' . As I am Dutch I recommend checking out epic Dutch gothic metal bands Blackbriar, Delain, The Gathering and Within Temptation!
Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestions! I have listened to the rest and saw Within Temptation live in 2007, but I haven't heard of Blackbriar before. Checking it out! Also, Vampiria is such an awesome cat name 🥰
@@dr.metalhead5452 I would also like to see an analysis of "Alma Mater", a song with such portuguese feelings about/for portuguese people and Portugal history. I would like to see how someone who is not Portuguese would interpret the "Alma Mater" music/lyrics.
@brunolee666 That's true. I'm glad people are interested! Both Opium and Alma Mater have lyrics in Portuguese too, come to think about it, but in Alma Mater the Portuguese spirit is also the prevalent theme. It'll be great to think more about this and discuss it!
I like your analysis of lyrics, helps a better understanding of the content. And you are incredibly beautiful!
Thank you very much!

Thankyou for this. If I could give you 2 thumbs up for your smile at the end of the track alone.
Great depth of analysis, thankyou again for sharing.
Thank you so much! ☺

@skaruts Haha yes 😁 Actually, my next video (which I'm editing now) is covering Moonspell's "Opium"!

Nocturna by Moonspell is my favorite song of theirs. It's so atmospheric and the vibe of it is off the charts.
Beautiful one, indeed!

Where on your list is Alma Mater :)
Great suggestion, love it! All I have to do now is decide between Opium and Alma Mater for the next Moonspell analysis 😁 Thanks for watching!
It is a hard choice so go with both :) @@dr.metalhead5452

Cof is my favorite band too. I saw them live again recently but sadly the venue was too small so the sound wasn't ideal.
Ah I see, but it's really cool that you saw them! I'm going to see them live too, very soon! I hope we won't have the same problem.
Moonspell✌✌
MoooonSpell, portugese band, right!
they supported Cradle of filth, or visa versa, in 1994.
I want to learn more. Help me understand 😊
🥰 Thank you for watching!
"Opium" :)
Good choice 😁
10:24 (with all due respect) may I just say that you chose your outfit accordingly?... 😅 except the negative aspect, obviously.
Haha I guess I did xD
My thoughts, too! 😅
