Congrats to ANDY S! Thanks to everyone for entering!! The winner was revealed on Instagram Live, Link to the Live stream here - th-cam.com/video/SH4vF6y-ryQ/w-d-xo.html Catch Can's for MQB engines now 10% off till November 1st!! www.shopdap.com/racinline-catch-can-mk7-gti.html
I really appreciate that not only are you learning us on these parts and options, the hows and whys, but you continue contributing to the community with the giveaways. Coming from Volvo’s, DAP is IPD for VW and I’m grateful for y’all~
That catch can setup looks so clean! Almost factory looking! Install looks involved but not overly complicated. Thanks for all the great videos you put out!!
My MK7 just got out of the shop. I had a P0456 evap leak code. Gas tank, fuel lines N80 valve all had to be replaced. It would be awesome to put this on my car and make her happy after all the shop time :)
Current owner of a 2018 GTI, this would be a great addition, along with a set of wheels and ... if you don’t end up using the alltrack as your daily let me know. I have a soft spot for wagons.
Thanks a lot Racingline. First I gotta drive with my hatch open so peeps can see the brace and now I’ve gotta drive without a hood so I can show off the catch can.
Was planning on tracking my 7.5 golf r soon but unfortunately I was into a minor accident with it so it's at the shop for the time being, would love to use this catch can
Glad to catch this video while I can... Seems straight forward even with the involved bits. Wouldnt do me much for track bc I dont...unless you count the spirited driving on the interstate sometimes. Would be nice to have one less worry about a possible OEM failure or carbon issue though.
oh wow, I'd love to win this to help resolve my poor idling issues.....fingers crossed! Would be such a mad present for my birthday which is the 24th October!!!
I've got a cts turbo catch can on my 2016 CC (APR stage 1 tune) and it fills up quick with oil, not sure if it's because it isn't baffled that great or something is wrong with my car. Any info on why this would be?
Just another thing on the list for project sleeper Passat. I like that its kinda stealth looking, goes with what i'm trying to do. Good install video as usual 👍
Nice DIY video and overall design/fitment by RL. Anyone have experience or knowledge with how VW views this mod or removal of factory PCV from a warranty standpoint? I have seen multiple PCV failures so I view this overall as an upgrade, with the potential benefit of reducing carbon build-up, especially from a track standpoint, this is worth it.
Love your vids. I have an MK7.5 GTI In black, just like the one in the video. Unfortunately mine is in the body shop right now as the right front end was clipped by an Uber driver. 4K in damage, but it is fixable - that’s what insurance is for right? Funny thing is it only has 5,400 miles and was just waxed before the accident. Been eyeing a catch can for some time now.

Hi DAP, I've been considering fitting a catch can to my 2016 Passat 1.4 TSI ACT 150 DSG7. Do you have any thoughts and recommendations on that? Thanks.
Going in for my second ever track day this November! My Mk7 is going to get it's fair share of abuse, so here's hoping this catch can will give it a bit of a break.
I've seen a lot of Mod advice etc. What about insurance after you get a apr or unitron mod? That is what is stopping me from getting one. I've heard some companies will cancel your policy if you do a reflash. Others will raise your rates substantially.
Catch my blow by, how bout dat? Something I like to do instead of using a pick on the hoses, is to put a flat head screwdriver between the hose and whatever it butts against and twist the screwdriver. Usually breaks the hose off the nipple easier than fighting with a pick. Killing it with the video content as always, thanks guys!
Catch can too?! So unrelated to the contest. - How does this actually act as a valve? It seems like there is no check valve or diaphragm like the OEM unit...?
I have been wanting a catch can for my mk7 gti for the longest time but they're really expensive so ive been pushing it off to the side but especially since i live in Canada i feel like my car would run healthier with a catch can.love your videos man use your tutorial videos all the time to DIY on my car, and i really hope i win so my car can be a bit better haha.
Always enjoyed your videos, very informative. As a new owner of a GTI mk7 2016. I walk away a little more knowledgeable. I've had my eye on that particular brand. Would be one of my upgrades in the near future.
Well now... That explains the smoke trailing behind my tuned TT one day when I was putting her through her courses around a long sweeping carousel exit ramp 💨✌🏼
My 2015 GTI has 70k miles and I was hoping to get the Racingline catch can since I’ve had a PCV failure 35k miles ago. It’s a good idea to install one before all that carbon builds up.
Are there any side effects from deleting the PCV? I don't like how the factory unit is dependent on pressure to actuate a valve and I'm concerned being tuned may be causing some adverse effects. I just don't want to delete it if there are other possible issues, though if not I'd love to get rid of it.
Is it normal to hear more intake noise with catch can installed? I hear my intake air going from catch can to turbo inlet pipe. Before installation I almost couldn't hear intake air because of loud exhaust. Now, I can hear air noises from 3k to 5k rpm. There is no boost leak.
might you know what would happen if you put a catch can between the line off the factory PCV that is feeding the intake will that work or does that create problems I would value your thoughts Thx Jas
Congrats to ANDY S! Thanks to everyone for entering!!

Do all catch cans fix the pcv issue?
I really appreciate that not only are you learning us on these parts and options, the hows and whys, but you continue contributing to the community with the giveaways. Coming from Volvo’s, DAP is IPD for VW and I’m grateful for y’all~
That catch can setup looks so clean! Almost factory looking! Install looks involved but not overly complicated. Thanks for all the great videos you put out!!
Thanks for all the amazing diy videos you guys put out. They really do help with the VW/Audi community. Thanks Paul
Continue on pushing your videos out. I enjoy watching them and also they give a great information on how to work on the GTI.
Mk6 gti here but Have quite a few friends I know would love this!!
I need this! Here’s my comment. I’m pushing close to 500hp now...and yet have not ever even thought about upgrading this.
My MK7 just got out of the shop. I had a P0456 evap leak code. Gas tank, fuel lines N80 valve all had to be replaced. It would be awesome to put this on my car and make her happy after all the shop time :)
Very nice! My PCV valve already failed. Pretty smoke everywhere.
Love how yall break down installs and explain how everything works instead of just slapping it together.
Look at that smoke! 2018 Golf R checking in. Would love to have this.
Just tuned my mk7 to stage 2. This would be a great addition. Great work shopDAP!
Was planning on tracking my 7.5 golf r soon but unfortunately I was into a minor accident with it so it's at the shop for the time being, would love to use this catch can
Catch Can needs to catch my car oil! Winner Winner!!! Nice revue, i saw your original install as well
Awesome vid on the updated catch can. I’m glad they finally changed the design!
Looks nice. What about a Racingline oil cooler install video and review
Thanks for the giveaway.
But is a catch can needed for a Audi s5 b8.5?
Looks sweet and a must for DI cars
Would love it on my new 7.5 GTI. Always loved racing line products. Ill pay for shipping to New Zealand! Great video
Racing line is top notch for sure.
Would this fit an Audi A4, guessing I could find a mounting location, just not sure about the mount plate?
Glad to catch this video while I can... Seems straight forward even with the involved bits. Wouldnt do me much for track bc I dont...unless you count the spirited driving on the interstate sometimes. Would be nice to have one less worry about a possible OEM failure or carbon issue though.
I was gonna buy one the other day but since you guys are give one away. I’ll wait on it!
Would have been a prety good upgrade to a car, as in my country i don't have the possibility to buy one.
Can you show an install for a 7P Touareg TDI? Many thanks and keep up the good work!
Would this void a manufacturing warranty?
That thing looks to be pretty heavy-duty. Almost like it could withstand a Paul off-road session!
Nice install!
I track mine almost everyday on 485, does that count?
It’s like Christmas every time they announce a new video and new giveaways. 🤞🏽
Looks like a relatively simple installation. Will definitely be installing a catch can in the future!
Nice addition to the tsi engine👌looks nice with the engine cover still on!
Does a catch can really make a difference?
What a quality piece. Very nice install video. Should work on our 2015 Jetta.
Thanks
Andrew
This would be a great upgrade to my new Alltrack. Just installed your spacer flush kit yesterday! 👍 👍
oh wow, I'd love to win this to help resolve my poor idling issues.....fingers crossed! Would be such a mad present for my birthday which is the 24th October!!!

Any reports of freezing issues in cold climates with these?
Yo DAP! Throw that Racing Line catch can my way! (Gotta be for my MkVII Golf R) - Great video!~
Could be interesting to test with a new snail turbo I’ve got coming. Thanks for the helpful video as always!
This would be great as I get my 2018 more track inspired and hopefully on a track
Shop dap dropping knowledge and swag! What else could ya ask for!!!
Just another thing on the list for project sleeper Passat. I like that its kinda stealth looking, goes with what i'm trying to do. Good install video as usual 👍
One of the few items I don’t have on my IS38 FBO GTI.
I need one for track, I white smoked at an autox 2 weeks ago!
Wow. Working on a serious budget would be a great bonus to have a catch can. Wish me luck.
so catch can isn't neccessary for a street daily drive car?
Its a ggreat idea...i watched the older install...looks challenging.
Nice DIY video and overall design/fitment by RL.
Anyone have experience or knowledge with how VW views this mod or removal of factory PCV from a warranty standpoint?

This won't work on a 2017 se jetta, will it?
Do these catch cans really even work???
Does this specific catch can fit 2015-2017 Mk7 platform?
Thanks for the great install video! I would love to add this to my ‘17 Golf R!
Do you remember that one time I won the chassis brace? Neither do I, but the catch can would be nice! 😉

Hi DAP,
I've been considering fitting a catch can to my 2016 Passat 1.4 TSI ACT 150 DSG7. Do you have any thoughts and recommendations on that?
Thanks.
I need this for my 2016 Skoda Superb 2.0TSi DSG 4x4 L&K 206kw 280hp I suppose it should fit becouse it is same motor like in VW Golf 7 R.
@Pipa Obala
I second that.
Nice clean install. Get rid of that pcv!! Save your oil seals!!
Going in for my second ever track day this November! My Mk7 is going to get it's fair share of abuse, so here's hoping this catch can will give it a bit of a break.
This would be awesome for my MK 7.5!!
Really could use this with winter starting on my great falls green 7.5 gti!
2015 3door GTI S with a manual. 43k miles and no issues
You guys have been doing great with videos lately becoming more in depth and great explanation. Keep up the work.
Just an observation, whenever there is a line of thought, be assertive from beginning to end during your delivery.
Will it fit a MK7R? I could use one!
Ive been curious about catch cans for my mk7.5! Seems like a good opportunity to learn.
I've seen a lot of Mod advice etc. What about insurance after you get a apr or unitron mod? That is what is stopping me from getting one. I've heard some companies will cancel your policy if you do a reflash. Others will raise your rates substantially.
That's ridiculous insurance wouldn't even know if you reflash your ECU.
Just got my Mk7 Golf R I could really use that as I plan on tracking it soon. Thanks Bert

Never used a catch can before but I'd be excited to try one
Well this seemed a lot more involved than I was expecting for a catch can... still would be interested in one! Thanks for the giveaway!
Just did the CTS IC and Turbo intake pipe.
Another great addition in the future.
Great DIY as usual.
Love how these catch cans look. Would be cool to have a kit to make your other lines have that braided look🤯
Will be a great add to the 2019 GLI that I have stage 2 and use heavy durning auto x
Always enjoyed your videos, very informative. As a new owner of a GTI mk7 2016. I walk away a little more knowledgeable. I've had my eye on that particular brand. Would be one of my upgrades in the near future.

Would this fit a mk4 Vr6? 🥺
I need that is that same for the golf r mk7.5
Love to try out the catch can. Never had one and heard they're hit or miss but would like to experience it for myself
Would be a great addition to my 7.5 GSW! Thanks for the chance!
I just bought my new mk7.5 r month ago and going to install stage 2 soon so Racingline Catch Can would be very important here during track days :)
Thanks paul! Great video! Is there a "catch" for entering? LOL
Watch all your how to videos very helpful indeed. Would love the catch can and then watch this again to install it. Keep up the good work guys . 👍
Been wanting to do a catch can for a while. Great DIY!
My 2015 GTI has 70k miles and I was hoping to get the Racingline catch can since I’ve had a PCV failure 35k miles ago. It’s a good idea to install one before all that carbon builds up.
Love the vids! Definitely would like a catch can kit on my MK6 GTI...
thanks for a great video. Been looking for a DIY video for this. Keep it up
Looks like a great product. I have a MK7.5 Golf R with 1500 miles. At what miles should this be required?
What are the benifits of this?
Are there any side effects from deleting the PCV? I don't like how the factory unit is dependent on pressure to actuate a valve and I'm concerned being tuned may be causing some adverse effects. I just don't want to delete it if there are other possible issues, though if not I'd love to get rid of it.
Would LOVE to win this. One mod I definitely need. You guys rock! Thank you for opportunity and will support you guys anyway I can!!
About to get a new Alltrack this is on my list! Thank you!
Another thorough diy video 👍🏼
Great video, thanks. Can you recommend any good catch can to prevent the carbon building up, not for racing?
Is it normal to hear more intake noise with catch can installed? I hear my intake air going from catch can to turbo inlet pipe. Before installation I almost couldn't hear intake air because of loud exhaust. Now, I can hear air noises from 3k to 5k rpm. There is no boost leak.
Great install. Nice piece of hardware
