    Very useful video, thanks! Many threads out there state that for the P0028 it is never the solenoid. Well, in my case it was. After a lot of work, including an oil flush and testing the switches, I finally swapped the solenoids and the code flipped from P0028 and P0026. Ordered a new solenoid from Amazon for $30 and the error code is gone. To replace the driver's side solenoid, you have to unbolt the camshaft sensor bracket that is in the way, at the end of this video. 10 mm bolt and some wiggling of the sensor bracket needed. After that, just wiggle out the solenoid, put in a new one. Can by a 15 minute job.

      I get that type of question a lot. Unfortunately it's not one I can answer. Prices vary so dramatically from region to region and depending on what type of mechanic or shop you bring it to. If you plan on just shotgunning it in replacing parts then you can call a few different jobs for a quote on doing so. Otherwise, most shops charge at least $100 off the rip just to diagnose the problem in suggest what repairs may be needed

    • @neuregel
      @neuregel 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well each of the vvt solonoid from auto zone cost about $110 each. You need 2. The oil pressure switch/ sensors were $12 each, you need 2. I did the work myself. I would estimate with parts a auto shop would probably charge around $350.
