      Yeah. It barely looks better than the v2 box and a bigger can motor. All this spektrum system does is highlight the value of the furitek system. The furitek stuff isn’t even sensored but the FOC and the way the esc speaks to the motor is incredible.
      Edit: also Bluetooth tuning comes in clutch and furitek customer service is pretty good. Also the ability to use other companies motors with it as well. Oh and the BEC, and 3s capability.

    Thank you for making this video! I just recently bought and installed this system into my Scx24 Deadbolt and had Spectrum replace it under warranty because of the glitching at low speeds 🫣 then after the 2nd one doing the same i asked for advice and they are now sending another combo 🧐 I cant believe this made it out of the factory still having this issue 🤔 I mean maybe for a mini " rock bouncer" or something like that, but not for a crawler. Thanks again for making this video!!🙏 I no longer thing my Deadbolt is cursed 😂 I should've spent the extra $50 for smoothness 😔

    Check out the car around 15:05. When the steering is fully locked it binds and the front wheels snowplow. Turned the opposite way it does too. You can see it in other parts of the video. Not sure what words other than bind and snowplow fit.

    I think what you said nailed it. Curb your expectations.
    If you’re experienced with brushless systems on 1/24’s. Then yea you’re going to turn your nose up at this and not be impressed.
    For someone like me who wants to dabble but not spend $400 on a fully optioned brushless set. It’s perfect, and I dont need all the adjustability from furitek. Keep it simple for once.
    $80 brushless setup, and it works with the AX24 stock esc so i dont have to shell out for another TX/RX. I think its a great option for some of us who don’t have a whole lot of money to throw around.

      Same reason & more why I just picked one up for my over weight Deadpool. Also I feel I don’t want an App to fine tune anything. How about they decide not to support it anymore or decide to charge you to keep your settings or worse have it work, like Tesla charging customers $9.99 a month to have working Heated seats and other options on the car. No thanks, Big Brother doesn’t need to watch over my R/C Crawling toy my kids and I use, how & when we use it. I got nothing to hide however I like to avoid overreacting possibilities from anyone. We got enough of that already. The Horizon name is on the box, not on FuriTek products. My motor is smooth at low end. He may have got the gear lash a bit tight is my opinion. Quieting down the ESC noise was a major win for me personally, I agree it’s very irritating. Now all they have to do is offer a better motor later on, I’m sold & quite happy. S2 batteries are plenty for me, my sons and our needs

    I like that it’s a direct drop in replacement, with little to no mods needed. But uhh, slow speeds are kinda lacking. 3S isn’t really a thing for crawling (IMO) so no big deal on that, but I’d like slower speeds (or a two speed option). For the price I can see why they went this route, good middle ground for the average buyers, but for those looking to really CRAWL they’re going with Furitek.

    Hi... I love your video ... But i have a question because i'm a noob in this game 😂 ... How do you control the 4ws ... if I place the servo in ch3 I can only control it with the 3 position button of ch3 but I cannot control the steering angle... so I bought MEUS Racing Four-Wheel Steering Control Line, 4WS Control Board, and Servo Control Line are Suitable for 4WS on amazon the problem is that when I change direction mode the central position shifts so I have to constantly modify it with the trim... and I can't find anywhere to solution to my problem 😥 I use a scx24 bronco and a jlu 2019 which have the same electronics...

      Best way is to upgrade your radio and receiver setup. The Flysky gt5 is a great, low cost option. But for truly functional rear steering control you’ll want an aftermarket radio

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly the motor itself if you could wire it up. I’m not sure if the mounting holes would work. You’d also need a different pinion gear and esc/rx to run it

    If it was priced around $50 I would be a lot more sold on it but for it being $90 and having no tuning options and that slow crawl is a deal breaker for me after having Furitek and Mofo Systems I run in my 4 trucks.

  • @mikeearls8158
    @mikeearls8158 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really wish I hadn’t spent the $90 on this combo, it was worse performing than the stock brushed SCX24 motor/ESC. This was a huge disappointment in my opinion. It’s not smooth, doesn’t have good slow control at all and it lunges. I returned and replaced it with a Furitek system that is everything I could ever ask for in a micro unit. This is just my opinion and I hope it helps.

  • @Zytiron
    @Zytiron ปีที่แล้ว

    Two main problems with this setup. 1) 4500kv. That is too high of a level of kv for a crawler. A better kv range is around 1000kv to 2000kv. 2) It's an "In Runner" style of brushless which decreases the torque gap surface area compared to an "Out Runner". More "Torque Gap" surface area = more torque at lower speeds.

    • @ryano8613
      @ryano8613 ปีที่แล้ว

      4500 kv on a 12mm motor is like a 1000kv on a 36mm can motor. If they made a motor this small in 1000 kv it would hardly even turn... The kv is good on the motor, especially for an in-runner. The part that sucks ass is the quality inside that motor ie windings/material, sensor, balance, magnets and so on.... Also, the ESC is junk and has no ability to control the motor.

    I would love to see some competition for Furitek to help drive prices down a little. 1/10th scale $$$$ for micro parts stings a little but Furitek still has no competition. This firma system is TRASH! For $30 I can get a FMS TX/RX, add a $15 brushed Injora 50t pro motor, $5 for a pack of servo plug adaptors(or change plugs), and it will out crawl this firma system all day for about $50. Spektrum needs to get a clue, crawlers should have a smooth slow speed, and not an abrupt start n stop feel.

  • @Bryzle1

    Adam, I love your optimism, but clearly this esc is not worth the $$, slow crawl seems non-existent, just as twitchy as before, and can only run 2S. If I installed this thing I'd like to know what the return policy is and send it back asap, it's not inexpensive, just cheap. The furitek Python absolutely crushes the Firma, and can run 4S with two full size servos. Thanks for making this video, now we know what NOT to buy. Peace ✌

  • @scultura44

    Let’s be hone here… at $90, a $14 50T brushed motor is a better upgrade. Between injora, samix, mofo and even the rgt motors they not only perform smoother but are a fraction of the cost of this brushless setup.
    I don’t see why you’d even bother using it at all when majority of the performance is in the mid-high range rpm. Not at all where you want the power band.
    Complete waste of money in my eyes.
    I feel like if this was a product you’d spent your own money on this review would be polar opposite to what you share here.
