This one was a beauty. The weathering is superb and it looks so realistic. I envy your skill and really appreciate the way you share your experience, tips and tricks for us so we can make our own models to look as realistic as possible. Thank you very much!
Beautiful, as always! The only thing I'd like to say is that the red for the RAF roundel is actually very dark in real life. It is almost a brick red it is not nearly as bright as straight Tamiya red. A good mix using Tamiya paints is 75% flat Red (XF-7 ), 25% NATO Brown (XF-68). The blue is a bit darker, too. A good recipe is 95% flat Blue (XF-8), 5% flat Black (XF-1). For the yellow, a tiny amount of Flat Red into the flat yellow (XF-3) looks better, too. Have a close look and compare. You will see the difference immediately!
Dear Mr Plasmo, Very nicely done. I have recently used masks for roundels and the effect is really quite striking. They are less complex than many think and I feel that you show this in your film. Regards, Z
Un …f’ing ….believable! I’d like you to spend more time describing your weathering techniques. Maybe make a video of just that! And spare no details and make it a long one! I think a lot of us would like to see you spend more time describing your artwork. And the production quality of the video! Thanks.
You are beyond doubt a master modeler. I've seen many of your videos, including some INSANE bike and warship models. My last "serious" model was a scratchbuilt double bay sea biplane (Blackburn T3 Velos) which i had been building for 2 years before it won one of the two grand prizes in my national IPMS contest (I think 1997). I did NOT have the level of patience I have seen on some your videos. Back in the day when i last held an x-acto knife (that is more than 20 years ago), I used to use *waldron products* punch and die set. It was the only tool available at the time to make perfectly round, but also perfectly FLAT, instrument dial glass. Don't know if this company is still alive, but if you find it in E-bay, go for it. You can use it for anything round, big rivets, button switches etc
All I can say is WOW!! The model looks like the real airplane!!! My goodness, any more superlatives would be redundant. You sir, can make a model!! BRAVO!
Excellent work, as always. I've built two Arma Hobby Hurricanes, butt in 1/72. They were great builds for the scale. The 1/48 is something else... beautiful.
I must admit I have a soft spot for the Hurricane since my first ever model kit was a 72nd scale Airfix Hurricane, and my first 48th scale plane was a Hurricane, also by Airfix. I've noticed there are a number of kit reviews and builds of this kit in recent weeks, but this is the first one I'm actually watching, and I must say I am impressed with the quality and level of detail in this kit.
Nope, not even close. He just makes models mostly out of the box. There are guys here on youtube that add hundreds of scratch built parts to their models creating museum quality masterprices that make even Rivet Counters cry. They are completely different league :)
@@randomnickify I've not seen anyone better. Scratch building parts is one thing, producing such incredible paintwork and weathering is another. Care to link to these superior modellers you speak of? Show me a better Hurricane if you can.
@@danielhampson Off top of my head: Scale-a-ton, TOMs Modeling in Motion, RAY STUDIO, A4 Garage and entire crapton of asian modelers that left their names in kanji I cant read. Modeling is as much about scratchbuilding as painting. When I want to see painters I watch Figure painting channels. The guy is god, but calling him best, is bit of a stretch.
Fine build!! I consider myself to be a moderate skill level modeler. Your builds have inspired me to try new products and techniques. Thank you from Wisconsin USA!!
Above all the video and editing and technical skill, I love your beautifully enunciated English. 💕 Go well darling and blessed be. May your God (or Goddess!) be with you.
It may be a controversial comment but to me the hurricane is every bit as beautiful as the spitfire. I saw the two flying together last weekend along with the lancaster but my eye was drawn to the hurricane mkII in it's all black nightfighter configuration. Sheer beauty.
WOW! Fantastic! I really enjoy watching You work on kits! It just amazes Me as to how You work all of the detail into Your builds. I always look forward to seeing Your build videos! Thank You for sharing with Us here on the tube. Later
As Harrison Ford said in Indiana Jones, " It belongs in a MUSEUM!" Work of art. Love the hurricane. I love to see more working horse aircraft, i.e., Wildcat, more P40 & Hurricanes, Beaufighter, Westland Whirlwind, would be awsome!
Beauty. I have this one but will build the Tamiya one first.....a warm up😂. I always find your videos interesting because a lot of the shading you just wouldn't think about so thank you again. I don't have a 3D printer so would gladly pay for a set of lamp holders. I wonder about the anti glare panels on a day fighter but if they were there, they were. Great job, the Hurricane never gets the credit it deserves. Had Hawker not got it so right to start with their wouldn't have been the numbers available for the battle, and for the Poles to show us what they already knew. Thanks Poland❤️
I wasn’t familiar with the recessed canopy grab handle so when you removed the lettering mask I though the paint had lifted in that spot and I gasped out loud🤣. Great job!
You sir are an artist! Just when I think you're done you add further detail and to be honest, with the right background this would pass as the genuine article!
Amazing work! Arma is molding some great kits, both in 1/72 and 1/48. The finished result here is what happens when a great kit meets a great modeller - superb 👍 I think Arma is really laying down the gauntlet, challenging the larger manufacturers to do better.
I especially love what you do with 1/48s. Gives your detail talent a lot more room to shine

This isn't merely modelling - this is art. You are an inspiration!
Your attention to detail and skill with your hands is above and beyond anything I see elsewhere on this platform.
I'm an f1 model collector. Not even a builder. But it's so much pleasure to watch every video.

Always a good day when plasmo uploads
Thanks for making my holiday even better ❤
Wonderful result, Plasmo! The kit is already amazing and you even managed to bump it up a notch or two 🙂
"A notch or two"? Seriously? 🥴
No. Knocked it out of the park.
Yer a notch or two
Теперь я знаю что впереди будет 24 минуты 1 секунда чистого удовольствия
согласен, даже не зная языка,наблюдать очень интересно за процессом)
Beautiful model replica, from a beautiful plane once made in my home city.
Some of those shots at the end are indistinguishable from a real bird. You are on another level amongst your peers. Keep them coming.
the final reveal is absolutely amazing. Hall of Fame worthy. The best looking Hurricane to date. Well done!
The surface detail on this kit is breathtaking, it's amazing to see!
Ilong ago stopped thinking that your builds can't get any better, because they always, somehow, do. Awesome work.
Your attention to detail is amazing, your models look like the real thing, outstanding

This has to be the best British aircraft build I've ever seen, great job.
Great work and a wonderful result, a joy to behold. As they say in our country, those who can, do, and those who can't, stare!

Wonderfully built up kit. Love the attention to detail and bypassing little obstacles with in house resources. ✨👍✨

Another masterpiece - the model and video. Good tips on the masks and the weathering with oils - the beige/tan in the panel lines worked nicely.

Thank you for being such a good teacher.
Really impressed by how the weathering turned out on this one, looks very real to me, well done sir
Stunning build and finish 😎👍👍
What a superb realistic finish. Lovely 😘
The previews you do on your videos is rather entertaining as well
Your work is incredible.
Excellent build.

Fantastic in every way, mind blowing 👏👏
