This isn’t model making, it is a true piece of art! The attention to detail, the 3D printed add-ons the weathering, the wiring. It is a class of its own. Amazing. Thanks for sharing your expertise. Best regards Norman.
@@idaemonplasmo I have to disagree on principle. Doesn't matter how detailed a kit can be, if the person making it isn't able to put it together in a coherent manner and with an advised mind. You have the precision, the dedication and the outlook necessary to take a good kit (like this one) and make it far more than the sum of its parts. I've seen enough models to know that you're one step away from masterpieces. The kind of stuff you'd see in old museums. Also, those "minor" improvements are far more than just improvements. They took the kit from great to chef's kiss. Top work.
im just gonna say, when you cut out that star over the ammo trays, and then put it on the cover absolutely perfectly, it damn near brought a tear to my eye. You sir are a true master of your craft!
Yeah, but I don't understand why he didn't put the cover over the trays beforehand, put the decal on, and then cut it out ?? Way less risk after the decals have set and are dry.
People watched Bob Ross, People would watch Plasmo! They are very similar, nice pleasant voice, takes ordinary and makes it extraordinary, and does it with such ease.
Even when I see it I can hardly believe it, what an incredible talent...I can never reach this level. Great to see you at work. My compliments with a deep bow.
Congratulations to MiniArt. That's indeed a VERY nicely detailed kit. And to PLASMO: You have outdone yourself with that engine and cockpit. Never have seen such details on this scale. Overall, i think, one of your best models so far. I think it was very wise to not overdo it with oil and soot stains. LOVELY!
Man you never cease to impress. That 3D printed plumbing behind the engine is pretty OP. I’ll have to invest in the hardware/software for that when the kids get a bit older.
For the under wing formation lights, paint silver, then a clear red/green/blue (whatever color), then the epoxy clear. It will look more like the colored light is under glass. Fantastic stuff as always.
Nah. Did any mortal dare to try achieve same level of perfection in building such model? You can be sure that level of detail will be over any unreasonable amount and skill set needed to made this model will exceed skills of all Greek Gods combined😂
I found myself holding my breath during the sequence where the star decal gets applied on the wing, cut in place, and the off-cut is applied to the separate panel. Really Brian de Palma-tense stuff.
Your work is always a wonder, David, I've been watching your channel since you started and I don't even build models. I just come to admire an artist at work.
This cockpit controll panel build was AMAZING! I mean, the level of detail is insane, if one realizes that the whole thing is smaller than a average thumbnail 😮🙏

What a fabulously built model, Plasmo! I've photographed the beautiful P47 "No Guts, No Glory" during air shows at Duxford, UK a few times. A beautiful plane!
I can hardly believe this is 1/48 scale! Your hand is so steady in applying paint and stains. The result is impressive, and you should be proud to have produced not only a model worthy of museums, but one that sparks motivation in others. Your video is also a master-work, from the introduction, to the narrative, and for the fine photography. Did I mention the excellent background music?
I have ONE minart kit, it is a 1/16th scale French Dragoon Currasier. It is SO crude. It is millions of miles behind THIS. I will need to look at Miniart differently
Once again you have demonstrated that you are a master modeler extraordinaire. Your build is phenomenal with details off the chart! Keep videos such as this coming. I tip my hat to you fine gentleman modeler.
I built at least 45 airplanes last quarter with airbrush and that's not counting some armor and "pimping up" all Burago cars i have and had(drunk brother)plus the same with bikes. What i was saying is that this guy obviously has EVERYTHING. From the smallest paintbrush, all the thinners and liquids, normal glue and liquid glue with needle, scalpels, sandpapers, scissors,Dremmel tool with all sanding bits is better then sandpaper, compressor for obviously airbrush and the most important thing-A PROPER,CLEAN TABLE IN A SPACE WHERE NOBODY WILL BUST YOURE BALLS WHILE YOU ARE WORKING. For example,i've got great models and while i can do without the airbrush and stuff i can't do without a place to work. That simple. He was talking about crazy glue, man,i would NEVER get that thing near my model. Revell makes excellent liquid glue with needle that,as the guy said, partially melts the plastic and that's the best glue you don't need others. Comes handy to have some glue in the tube but it's not that you need it. I already wrote too much but about modelling,or racing,i could go for many miles before i sleep....but i won't because joviality....is a game of children.
FYI if you want to take your paint masking to the next level, first put down a layer of the original color right next to your masking tape, then a layer of your new color. I learned this from my uncle who paints houses. He says that way when the paint seeps under your masking tape, it's the same color as what's already under there so you can't tell. The key is to let the first layer dry completely first.
The amount of effort you put into the engines on these vehicles always amazes me, and the weathering stage of your builds is always my favorite, really places the model in reality.
You are a master of your craft. Genuinely, a Master. I've been watching your work for many years now and this one is on a whole new level of impressive. Thank you for presenting it for us.

I really found your more subtle approach to weathering on this build to be very pleasing to the eye and more realistic.
