Brawl was my first SSB game and was incredibly addictive and satisfying. I loved unlocking everything. The story mode you could compare to Metroid or Kirby games.
My top 10 (with one per franchise): 10. *Mario Kart Wii* 9. *Little King's Story* 8. *Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn* 7. *Super Paper Mario* 6. *Xenoblade Chronicles* 5. *Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition* 4. *Super Smash Bros. Brawl* 3. *The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword* 2. *Okami* 1. *No More Heroes* Honestly, the Wii has so many awesome games I could easily make this into a top 30 without skipping a beat.
@@a_rocknrolladdict.0312 I know, I felt bad leaving them out! They were really close to making it into the top 10 though, if that's any consolation. Honestly, I'm considering just editing my list into a top 30, so I won't have to leave out so many of my favorites.
The Wii is underrated, man. they need to rerelease these games with optional motion control so my friends who hate motion can finally understand why I love it so much.
10)Warioland: Shake it! 9) No More Heroes 8) Smash Bros Brawl 7) Donkey Kong Country Returns 6) Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword 5) Wii Sports 4) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 3)Power Rangers Samurai 2) MySims 1) MySims Racing!(How come no one talks about this game?!)
I'm glad Strikers charges made it so high up in your list Jirard, it's my personal number 1, I am the one that every world cup asks for a 3rd entry in the franchise, or at this point I'd be fine with a "deluxe" remaster of the wii game for Switch, maybe add Rosalina and Funky Kong as new captains or something to keep it fresh, but I need the best sports franchise back on the switch
@@seanchernov7178 I haven't forgotten sluggers, it's another great, I would say the same for Mario Golf as well. Odd, as you mentioned, Nintendo only ever seems to want to do more Tennis; and even though Aces was fun, it lacked charm of older tennis titles, like the item match mode from 64 and power tennis.
Its very weird, my brother and I played 100's of hours of the original Strikers, but I never got into Strikers Charged. I think the choice to have the likelihood of scoring hinge on how charged the ball was killed my interest in the game. The original we got so good and dekeing eachother out and doing quick small plays to score, but in charged if you didn't pass the ball 4 or 5 times, and recover a blocked shot you didn't score.
THANK YOU for including Super Mario Strikers Charged so high on this list. I completely forgot how addicted I was to this game until seeing it in action once again. Truly an overlooked gem.
Some of my favorites on the Wii are dbz budkai tenkaichi 3, Kirby’s return to dream land, Mario galaxy, sonic unleashed and sonic colors, and super smash bros braw just to name a few
Kirby's Return to Dream Land is really good, but I think Kirby's Epic Yarn is better. Everyone I know who has played it loves it, and it's the highest rated Kirby game on Metacritic.
Super hidden gem: Spectrobes Origins It takes the Disney Spectrobes series and makes it into an amazing 3d world adventure where you actually fight alongside your spectrobes and can even match them in damage throughout most of the game. It also has a surprising amount of accessibility and builds on the story of the other games in the series by both placing a beginning and ending to the story as a whole. Now would I recommend it as your first Spectrobes game no in fact you should play the games in release order, but is it the best Spectrobes game, Yes absolutely. The only minor issues are getting the cards necessary to fully complete the spectrobes list and sometimes multiplayer mode has some minor responsiveness issues. Overall though I'd say 9.5/10.
I'm a fan of the developers of Muramasa. Odin Sphere, Dragons Crown, 13 sentinels. They're all great. I believe they also did Grim Grimoire on the ps2 as well
"Even though getting stuck as one of the toads doesn't feel great" Mate, it was an honor to be a toad in my house. Idk what your on about, we would fight for them suckers
I am so glad you put Mario Strikers Charged on second place! It has such a huge replaiability, and its such a shame that Nintendo doesn't rerelease the game or remaster, or make a sequel to that game...
I enjoyed that game too, despite how hard I thought it was. They really should remaster it for Switch and add some new captains like Rosalina, King K. Rool, King Boo, and Funky Kong to name a few.
The one thing charged did miss though, was the built-in tournament mode for multiplayer like they did on the Gamecube version. I never got to try it out as a lack of friends, but just that it was in the game and that you could let the game organise a tournament was super cool
Going off the games that I've personally played. My list is this 1. Super Mario galaxy 2 2. Zelda : twlight princess 3. Donkey Kong country returns 4. Metro is prime 3 : corruption 5. No more heroes 2 : desperate struggle 6. Resident evil the umbrella chronicles 7. Madworld 8. Onechunbarba : bikini zombie slayers. 9. Hot wheels , beat that 10. The conduit
Brawl was without a doubt the game I put the most time into on the Wii. Just fucking around against bots or playing against my brother were some of the best memories I have of it. It was so damn good at the time. And rewatching the Subspace cutscenes on TH-cam makes me cry.
Even if this list has some pretty glaring omissions that I’d put on my own personal list, such as Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Sonic Colors and Okami, it’s still a majorly good list nonetheless.👌🏽And definitely gives me plenty of nostalgia for this era from Nintendo.
Off the top of my head, this is my list. 10. Little King's Story (Great little hidden gem. Cool fusion of Pikmin with a Final Fantasy style job system. Super creative bosses.) 9. Both Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 (Great games but they're not my favorite. I feel they have a lot of untapped potential and they started the trend of the more limited Course Clear 3D Mario which I've never been crazy into compared to Sandbox 3D Mario) 8. Trauma Center: Second Opinion 7. Twilight Princess 6. Sonic Colors (Yeah I know I'm putting this above Galaxy even though it's objectively worse but...eh. I just like it more? It might be the soundtrack for me.) 5. Warioware Smooth Moves (Best use of the Wii's motion controls hands down. Shame they never made a direct sequel on the console.) 4. Okami (I don't love it as much as I used to but it came out at a perfect time for me. Love the art and getting a taste of Japanese mythology.) 3. Donkey Kong Country Returns 2. Punch-Out Wii 1. Xenoblade Chronicles (One of the Best JRPGs out there)
@@edmg7 yeah, it does have a good layout in both the original and Switch remake to show a collectapedia though. My only issue with that is there are certain areas that become locked after you finish them that you can't go back to and a second playthrough to try to find any missing items is way too much work if one doesn't get it the first time. I would say the underground ether mine area would be one example.
You know, bringing up the "Punch Out" series, I understand that "Arms" might be a spiritual successor, but the Switch's dual controller system seems perfect for a new "Punch Out" entry.
I was hoping to see Red Steel 2 on this list. Hella underrated game, the Japanese and American-Western fusion theme was super cool and the combat was awesome! Glad to see that Mario Strikers is getting some of the attention it deserves though!
I'm just gonna throw one out there that most people probably never heard of. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure. Like dude, that game was really fun!
So glad you put super strikers on this list I feel it is a super under appreciated game that deserves wayyyyyy more respect, definitely one of my favorite games of all time!
I need stop watching these videos with headphones on, Jirard be salivating over how much he loves these games lol I can hear every moment his mouth gets watery
I bought it at launch. Once you get over the competent motion-controlled combat, the game is such a snooze-fest. You spend most of it walking through linear corridors and smashing boxes between battles.
@@AgentMorgan2010 I loved the game, but I do wish they had put in a lot less boxes and just put more stuff in each one. That one element was tedious, but I still think the overall game was great. It's not quite my favorite game on the system, but I might go so far as saying it's the best example of motion controls.
My list No actual order just my top ten. 1.Calling 2.Donkey Kong 3.Heavenly Guardian 4.Klonoa 5.Samurai Showdown Anthology 6.Tatsunoku vs Capcom 7.Muramasa 8.Astro Boy. 9.Mario Striker. 10.Lost in Shadow
People kind of sleep on Fire Emblem path of radiance and Radiant dawn. Those games are fantastic with their amazing stories and new characters to the franchise.
Great video Jirard! I still have my Wii to this day. I have both galaxy games and super Mario bros Wii. It was actually your super Mario galaxy 1 video that convinced me to go back and complete it to unlock Luigi
You can still count Twilight Princess as a Wii exclusive Jirard! It was technically exclusive to the Wii in North America for a few weeks in November, before the GCN version came out in December. I think I recall they did that to get the hyped Zelda fans to buy a Wii ASAP since they couldn't wait until the next month haha
@@AgentMorgan2010 yes you can. But just barely. It was literally exclusive (likely intentionally so, to sell consoles) to the Wii for a long aching few weeks for a massive market in NA.
@@kingofthesharks No, you can't. Because it's not exclusive. Never really was. It was only "exclusive" for a couple weeks in North America to boost Wii sales, but it was always understood all the while that it was releasing on the Gamecube. The game was developed ground-up specifically for the GameCube, and then ported to the Wii with shoehorned-in motion controls. It was a Gamecube game, and it's not exclusive. There's also a Wii U port now. Best you could say is that it was a "timed exclusive" for a very brief period in North America in 2006.
@@AgentMorgan2010 Yes I know all these facts cuz I was there paying attention too, and I remember when they decided to shoe-in the motion controls and mirror the game for the Wii since it was delayed so often that it coincided with the new console. I still count that brief period of exclusivity as being "an exclusive" for Wii at the time. Just like RE4 was for Gamecube, and just like FF7 Remake is for PS4. These games boosted console sales to an extent, regardless of how brief their exclusivity. Tons of AAA games are "timed" exclusives, even though we all know it'll be later released on PC, etc. and it specifically works that way to sell consoles in conjunction with the game's hype. That was exactly what TP's exclusivity set out to do...so if it it doesn't fit that technicality then most other "exclusives" don't either since we can always wait till a game releases elsewhere.
@@kingofthesharks Well, examples like RE4 & FFVII Remake enjoyed a much larger and more significant period of exclusivity than TP ever did. RE4 also had to be downported for the PS2, and other things were added, so there were a lot of differences between the two versions. TP was exclusive to the Wii for a period of literally about two weeks during the Wii's launch window. As far as "timed exclusives" go, it was probably the shortest timed exclusive window there ever was. Anyway, I don't dispute the whole of your argument, and I'm not trying to be a pedantic douche here, but if you had said that Twilight Princess _was_ an exclusive rather than saying you can _still_ count it as a Wii exclusive _today,_ I never would have challenged that. But yes, I only consider something exclusive if it is, in fact, exclusive. Meaning it is only available on one specific console or platform. In Twilight Princess's case, specifically, its actual window of exclusivity to one platform was so brief that it's pretty much immaterial. Couple that with the fact that it was essentially a Gamecube port, and its apparent exclusivity status to the Wii is dubious or irrelevant compared to stuff like the Resident Evil Remake or Mario Sunshine or what have you. Those particular titles remained exclusive to one particular platform for a long enough amount of time for that distinction to be significant. You could still count SMG2 as a Wii exclusive, because, as of this writing, it still _is_ a Wii exclusive.
@jt SS is just awful imo, with the super linearity even for a Zelda game, the overworld is hands down the worst in the series, there’s really nothing to explore which is disappointing seeing as how it was in the sky. The dungeons were really good though, and I enjoyed ghirahim, but fighting the imprisoned that many times?? They tried dragging out the game and it doesn’t help the game. Plus a lot of the bosses have like no thought behind it they’re so boring (looking at you tentalus and bilocyte)
My 10 10.cod 3 (i like, but most people dont) 9.wii sports games and stuff 8.smash bros brawl 7.metal slig anthology 6.fifa 15 5.lego indiana jones 2 4.modern warfare 3 3.lego star wars complete saga 2.punch out 1.mario
I get that your not really a big Fire emblem guy and I respect that but I just want to say Radiant Dawn was the reason I bought a wii and is one of my favourite games of all time
@@isakts8576 Definetly give them a shot if you can afford it. A lot of people hold up Path of Radiance as the best in the series, and i personally thought Radiant Dawn was even better
I played that about 4 years ago and it was great. I love how you can save between turns so that if a character dies you dont have to restart the whole chapter. The Laguz races were fun to play as.
@@yoshi_auditore431 Separating the Tellius games just doesn't even make sense in my brain. More than any other games in the series, those two are so intimately linked for me that I couldn't really talk about one without the other. Probably because it was built from the ground up to be a two part game, whereas 3, 5, and 7 seem like tacked on additions to existing stories. They're not my favorite gameplay-wise, but the story and characters are top-notch in my book.
@@jhans22 Just in terms of Top 10 Wii games regardless it should be up there. Not sure where in the video he specified it was his top 10 games to Complete
@@jhans22 It takes less time to complete than BotW if you have a checklist. The main problem is how many things are easily missed if you do something as simple as choose the wrong dialogue option. Source, I've done it both on 3DS and Switch.
@Kumatora best Girl sure. My point was that Jirard is a completionist so big jRPG's arent his thing. Top 10's are subjective to quite a few things. In terms of overall games, yeah Xenoblade is great. In terms of fun/factor experiences, Wii Sports/Resort is great. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ really is subjective based on the 'top 10 criteria'
I loved fire emblem radiant dawn. It could have been released on any system since the motion controls were not used at all but it was released on wii and therefore has to be my favorite wii game.
Mario galaxy and 2 was special, and I still remember 100%ing 2, and finally 100%ed the first one last week on my stream. my personal list is: 10. New Super mario bros wii 9. Mario Kart Wii 8. Mario Party 8 7. Spectrobes Origins 6. Hot wheels: Beat that! 5. World of Goo 4. Pokemon Battle Revolution 3. Super Paper Mario 2. Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Galaxy has been my favorite Mario game ever since it released, and until All Stars was revealed, it felt almost forgotten by many. But now it’s back in the limelight again and it makes me so happy!
Twilight Princess motion controls fit really well with the game & I purchased it on the Wii over the Game Cube - it's probably the best Zelda game, either that or Ocarina of Time
My top 10 (mostly Mario games because I wasn't really into many other games when I had a Wii) 10. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Brawl was the first Smash Game I played and it was a good introduction, but it's so slow and has many bad mechanics that make it kinda hard to go back to and play when I could just play Ultimate.) 9. New Super Mario Bros Wii (I played this game with my siblings as a young child and we had no sense of team coordination but it was still great fun none the less, playing it alone is kinda a bummer though.) 8. Mario Kart Wii (The first video game I ever played and will always hold a special place in my heart, also the competitive community around this game is pretty cool and interesting.) extremely 6. Super Mario Galaxy (I don't like it quite as much as it's sequel but it's still a really great game.) 5. Wii Sports Resort (continues on the groundwork that Wii Sports laid and makes an even greater collection of fun sports based minigames that are just really fun to play.) 4. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (great integration of the wolf gameplay making it not feel all that forced, great dark design choices, has some of the best items in the whole series, and Midna is just the best.) 3. Donkey Kong Country Returns (to put it simply, it's the best 2D platformer I've ever played.) 2. Xenoblade Chronicles (I haven't even finished this game yet and I'm so invested in the story, the characters, and the world, it is a masterful JRPG, also I just love Riki way too much.) 1. Super Mario Galaxy 2 (literally my favorite game of all time, it takes all that the first game did right and expands on it to make a gaming experience that I will always remember and cherish.)
@Kumatora best Girl Yeah like every time Riki speaks I love him more. I just saw the scene where Riki and Dunban had a deep talk with each other on the beach and it warmed my heart so much. I just love the game and it's characters way too much man, I don't know what else to say!
It was a sign the console wars would no longer be so divided, that would smack down with sonic, mario and snake in the same game was a beautiful thing, which would lead to the huge roster of shared characters we have today.
Honestly I expected Resort SMG and SMG 2 for last three so when I hear the 2nd choice I'm like "He seriously ain't gonna put the entire SMG series on here"
my top 10 would be... 10. Wii Play 9.Wii Sports & Wii Sports Resort 8. No More Heroes 1 & 2 7. Pandora's Tower 6. The Last Story 5. Sin & Punishment: Star Successor 4. Super Paper Mario 3. Muramasa: The Demon Blade 2. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 1. Xenoblade Chronicles honorable mentions: Super Smash Bros Brawl, Wario Land: Shake It, Kirby's Epic Yarn, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Mario Kart Wii, Punch-Out!!, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Endless Ocean and Excitebots: Trick Racing
@@juarezamorim When I was 6 or so, I just played whatever was available to me. When I played Wii Sports, it was like "Wow, bowling!" I didn't make a calculated decision to start with Wii Sports. It's still fun today though.
1. Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 2. Mario Kart Wii 3. Smash Bros Brawl 4. Kirby Return to Dreamland 5. DKC Returns 6. Mario Super Sluggers 7. Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olymics 8. Sonic Colors 9. Mario Strikers Charged 10. Mario and Sonic at the London olympics The Wii is probably my favorite console. It's hard to pick between it and the Switch but what puts it over is Mario Galaxy. Those 2 games are my favorite games of all time. My definition of a perfect game.
My favorite game on the Wii is definitely Super Mario Galaxy, two of my favorite games to come back to are on there as well: Epic Mickey and Rabbids Go Home. Those both feel pretty underrated (especially Rabbids Go Home) but are fantastic experiences.
Love the video, but you should make a follow up with a list that on purpose does not include 1st party games. Because there is definitely some hidden gems in there. Madworld, Zack and Wiki, Rayman Raving Rabbids, ...to name a few.
"even if playing as one of the Toads isn't great" Hold your tongue, sir As a lover of the color blue, being Blue Toad was the fuckin best thing this game could have done to keep me interested.
The fact that Madworld isn't on this list is a crime. That game is perfect, amazing OST, funny as hell, entertaining, and infinitely replayable. Best game on the Wii, easy.
My top 10 Wii games (though probably controversial): 10: The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword 9: New Super Mario Bros Wii 8: Wii Fit (I know, I actually like that one) 7: Mario Kart Wii 6: Wii Sports 5: Super Mario Galaxy 2 4: Super Mario Galaxy 3: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2: Wii Sports Resort 1: Metroid Prime Trilogy
Small correction: The Gamecube version of Twilight Princess came out slightly later than the Wii version. The only region where they released simultaneously was in Japan, which was ~2 weeks after the North American Wii release.
Okay but where us Xenoblade Chronicles like that game is definitely one of the best rpgs for the Wii heck ever. Like it totally should of been placed on the list at least somewhere.
Personally I’d put Kirby Return to Dreamland at number 1, I just really loved the game and thought it was a bit more difficult than your average Kirby game...heck I’d probably put it in my top 10 games of the decade for 2011-2020.
There were Wii games other than Fortune Street? Huh. 10. Broken Sword 9. Ghost Squad 8. Muramasa 7. Gunblade NY/LA Machineguns 6. Data East Arcade Classics 5. Rooms 4. New Super Mario Bros Wii 3. Lost in Shadow 2. A Boy and his Blob 1. Fortune Street The order may be wrong other than Fortune Street. Fortune Street is the best Wii game... Fortune Street.
Jirard’s feeling about Strikers charged is EXACTLY like mine! Definitely the most underrated Mario sports game IMO. We need a Strikers sequel or reboot or just a freakin HD remaster I’d take anything at this point
Smash Brawl was the biggest hype I've ever seen before a game release. I could feel Sakurai's life force being poured into the game. The website revealed a character every week or so. No surprise that Smash 4 and Smash Ultimate are basically expansions on it.
I agree wholeheartedly that Wario Land: Shake It was super niche but I still absolutely loved the game and its mechanics, especially the escape sequences at the end of every level where you just ran back and broke through everything
"Tripping sucks" When this game came out, magazines like ONM here in the UK were still running (official nintendo magazine). In one of the interviews with Sakurai that we read, he mentioned that he added in tripping cause he thought it would add a comedic aspect to the game and thus make the game more 'fun'. Naturally, we came to dub the tripping as 'Sakurai fun' and every time we tripped over midway through a fight, we'd sit there shouting "Sakuraiiii!!!" Good times. Good times
I guess with a console that is soo nostalgic to everyone there will be a lot of comments like mine but Where is Wii Sports resort I swear going up and down the volcano in the saber fight was the most satisfying gamimg event of my childhood or flying around the island on a plane and smashing my hand on the shelf while doing a layup directly in the basket. And some very honorable mentions for me would be Mario and Sonic at the winter olympiques the level design on the snowboard levels is just majestic and obviously Mario Cart cause mario carts
Real solid list overall. My top in no particular order would probably be Xenoblade, Sin and Punishment 2, Tatsunoku, Galaxy 2, Let’s Tap, Castlevania Rebirth, Cave Story, Sonic Colours, Last Story, and Skyward Sword.
When the whole list is wrong but still completely solid, you know you've got a good console. Smooth Moves > Shake It! Missing: Xenoblade Chronicles, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Wii Party, Rabbids Go Home, Rhythm Heaven Fever, MadWorld, and Mario Party 9 (don't @ me for that last one, I know you guys hate the car, BUT THOSE MINIGAMES, THO)
@@boots3305 Well maybe the list is not wrong, but the completionist is wrong about the Wii library being "narrow". Just with genres like JRPGS, Classic Adventure games, On Rail shooters & 2D Platformers is far more diverse than other past Nintendo systems that don't get bad rep. Also regarding the "divisivness" of Skyward Sword, well that game has other considerable issues beyond the motion controls.
Great list! Wii had really solid titles, amidst a ton of jank sadly, so it made the console under appreciated by many "gamers" due to all that shovelware. My personal top 10:(not in any order) Metroid Prime Trilogy:A great series, with the first two GC titles getting the Wii control treatment. Awesome value Dead Space Extraction: A really great on rails shooter, that actually does really well with its source material and horror Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2: Do i need to explain this one. Two of the best Mario game's ever made, and both are on Wii Madworld: Who said Wii couldn't have Mature rated games? Resident Evil Darkside/Umbrella Chronicles: Wii has its share of 'light gun' games, but this series has always been a cut above IMO, cause it isn't only 50 minutes long ;) Resident Evil 4: The game that has come out on so many consoles, but on Wii with its motion controls just feels right The Last Story: one of the last games to come out during the Wii's lifespan. A JRPG akin to Lost Odyssey and truly a great game at that Skyward Sword: I know Fi is annoying, but This is still a great LoZ game in its own right. Red Steel 2: A definite cut above the original, that just felt like a regular FPS, Red Steel 2 does a great job with its story and controls. Muramasa: The Demon Blade: a great looking 2D hack and slash. Don't miss out on this one! Some Honorable Mentions: Punch Out Wii, Okami, Metroid other M, Wario Land Shake it!, Deadly Creatures, A boy and His Blob
Umbrella chronicles was brilliant im actuly thinking of geting a wii amd modding it so i can download all the good lightgun games as a cheap alternative to a ps2 and lightgun which unfortunately i googled recently cos i thought they would still be selling for pennies and they are absolutely ridiculously expensive now so i cant afford it what a crazy world lol so gona get a wii an mod it as a budget alternative :)
No More Heroes might not be the best Wii game but it's one of my favorite. I will say though that I'm surprised Metroid Prime Trilogy and Xenoblade Chronicles not on here. It feels like, to me, that Metroid Prime 3, in particular, is becoming underappreciated.
Best JRPG I have ever played, yet doesn't even make a top 10 list? Might not be a good completionist style game bc it is super long and has countless collectibles so it would take a lot of work to truly "complete" it.
@@hepwo91222 I've said this many times before, but if Jirard ever aspires to tackle that game, he should get ChuggaConroy on-side to help coach him through the completion process. Speaking of which, Chugga's currently trucking through Xenoblade Chronicles 2, if anyone's interested.
I hated the game when it came out on the wii, but I've fallen in love with the switch port. The amazing music, art, and story were originally marred by how damn bad the game looked in 480P on my hdtv. Plus, the game is 60-70 hours just to beat, now imagine completing all the bs fetch quests...
@@chadcondit6360 480p it is what it is, but the quests were not that bad, I mean the switch version dumbe it down so much you didn't even have to read the dialogue to do the quests. Really pleased to see TvC on the list. When I purchased it at launch, I found out that in my whole city, mine was the only preorder copy across all of GameStop. Like, they'd had people request them at other stores in town and there was only the one copy, and it was mine. Such a small audience for it but man was it good.
In your comparison of twilight princess for wii and gamecube when talking about mirroring, Link held the fishing rod in his right hand for both versions and I don't believe that was intentional?
Probably my favorite Wii game is Punch Out and it's one of my top 10 favorite games! It was my first Wii game I got and I had a blast playing it. Also, when I got to Mr. Sandman on the 2nd World Circuit fight, he intimidated me. His punches were fast and that scared me a little bit. After many tries, I defeated him.
Dont forget sluggers too, another great sports. Yet they chose to make the tenis ones which are lesser compere to those 2 serieses
The Waluigi DX crotch chops will live on forever.
Love that game it needs a re-make
Its very weird, my brother and I played 100's of hours of the original Strikers, but I never got into Strikers Charged.
Unleashed Wii is decent but the 360 and PS3 version is way better imo
Kirby's Return to Dream Land is really good, but I think Kirby's Epic Yarn is better. Everyone I know who has played it loves it, and it's the highest rated Kirby game on Metacritic.
Super hidden gem: Spectrobes Origins
It takes the Disney Spectrobes series and makes it into an amazing 3d world adventure where you actually fight alongside your spectrobes and can even match them in damage throughout most of the game.
I remember when PBG did his "top 10 non first party Wii games" and he had Muramasa: The Demon Blade at #1. That game is hype.
I nearly repurchased it on the Vita but considering the nature of the gameplay, ultimately decided against it.
Muramasa is easily the best wii game. Best vita game too. The dlc is great
I'm a fan of the developers of Muramasa. Odin Sphere, Dragons Crown, 13 sentinels. They're all great. I believe they also did Grim Grimoire on the ps2 as well

awesome game. id put it after brawrl personally, but its like a top 3 game on the system for me too
The one thing charged did miss though, was the built-in tournament mode for multiplayer like they did on the Gamecube version. I never got to try it out as a lack of friends, but just that it was in the game and that you could let the game organise a tournament was super cool

My only issue with that is there are certain areas that become locked after you finish them that you can't go back to and a second playthrough to try to find any missing items is way too much work if one doesn't get it the first time.
No, you can't.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom... I knew I should've gotten that game.

In one of the interviews with Sakurai that we read, he mentioned that he added in tripping cause he thought it would add a comedic aspect to the game and thus make the game more 'fun'. Naturally, we came to dub the tripping as 'Sakurai fun' and every time we tripped over midway through a fight, we'd sit there shouting "Sakuraiiii!!!"
Good times. Good times
that's so wholesome
Zak and Wiki Quest for Barbarossa's Treasure is my favorite Wii game. Red Steel 2 was dope too
I guess with a console that is soo nostalgic to everyone there will be a lot of comments like mine but Where is Wii Sports resort I swear going up and down the volcano in the saber fight was the most satisfying gamimg event of my childhood or flying around the island on a plane and smashing my hand on the shelf while doing a layup directly in the basket.
Finnaly someone that can appreciate hidden gems, like Rhythm Heaven
I love Wii Party and Mario Party 9, they are my favorite party games other than Nintendo Land.
“When the whole list is wrong” wdym the whole list is wrong? It’s his opinion.
No Xenoblade just irks me. Also loved Sin and Punishment Star Successor, another overlooked game.
Good list. Personally, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is somewhere in my top 10.
Great list! Wii had really solid titles, amidst a ton of jank sadly, so it made the console under appreciated by many "gamers" due to all that shovelware. My personal top 10:(not in any order)
Metroid Prime Trilogy:A great series, with the first two GC titles getting the Wii control treatment. Awesome value
Dead Space Extraction: A really great on rails shooter, that actually does really well with its source material and horror
Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2: Do i need to explain this one. Two of the best Mario game's ever made, and both are on Wii
Madworld: Who said Wii couldn't have Mature rated games?
Resident Evil Darkside/Umbrella Chronicles: Wii has its share of 'light gun' games, but this series has always been a cut above IMO, cause it isn't only 50 minutes long ;)
Resident Evil 4: The game that has come out on so many consoles, but on Wii with its motion controls just feels right
The Last Story: one of the last games to come out during the Wii's lifespan. A JRPG akin to Lost Odyssey and truly a great game at that
Skyward Sword: I know Fi is annoying, but This is still a great LoZ game in its own right.
Where's Metroid Prime Trilogy!!? I never played a Metroid game before that. Only had a gameboy gorwing up and my first consol was a wii
When is this man going to talk about Xenoblade chronicles?! I’ve been waiting years.
I’m guessing he hasn’t played it otherwise it would be on this list
I hated the game when it came out on the wii, but I've fallen in love with the switch port. The amazing music, art, and story were originally marred by how damn bad the game looked in 480P on my hdtv. Plus, the game is 60-70 hours just to beat, now imagine completing all the bs fetch quests...
@@chadcondit6360 480p it is what it is, but the quests were not that bad, I mean the switch version dumbe it down so much you didn't even have to read the dialogue to do the quests. I loved both versions and prefer the original score and interface. Switch allows for the original score, but not the original interface.
For Tatsunoko vs Capcom alone I love this list. Thank you for acknowledging it
Unfortunately, that Wii Sports theme will always be in my mind as related to Fitz.
THANK YOU! Finally someone acknowledges the Mario Strikers series. We really need a third one for the Switch.
I hope Twilight Princess is as good as it sounds, since I have it but haven't played it since I got a Wii.
I adore the game, I’ll recommend it to the moon and back. I equally recommend Skyward Sword!
That's how you make a final boss, tough but not unstoppable.
Man, so many good memories with this system. Galaxy remains my favorite Mario game and holy crap Strikers needs a comeback on the Switch.
